Methinks they doth protest too much...

And 40 miles extra is going to matter to the "millions" of fans from Syracuse and Albany?  :D

Last time I looked, the Bills were selling out almost every game.  Lots of fans come from a distance to the game, be it Canada, the southern tier, etc.

If they built a stadium in Batavia, at least the 10 or 20 fans in Batavia would have a short drive to the stadium. ;)

And it's nice of Rochester to share the Amerks with Buffalo this year.  At least they get to play in front of a full house for 2 games this year.

Look, htere's no reason to be a bitter idiot. The fact remains that the Bills couldn't exist without Rochester, because a damn large percentage of season ticket holders come from out of buffalo. If you want to be an !@#$ about it, that's fine. Ignore lists are great. Welcome to it.

what is wrong with people?

Long term, the only chance the Bills survive in Buffalo is for them to build a stadium near Batavia

are you joking? You could find 100 pro sports experts, city planners or general fans and I can guarantee you that NONE of them would say something that dumb. Yeah, instead of building a stadium that is very close for 70% of our fans, why don't we build a stadium so that it is very close for 5% of our fans.

A downtown Buffalo stadium could mean the death of the franchise.

Probably not, but either way NOBODY IS SERIOUS ABOUT IT. It was a stupid proposal from one idiot that most likely got elected with no more than 5,000 votes in the first place.

What really needs to be done is to find the center of the population that the Bills can draw from and build a new stadium as close as possible to it. This gives the franchise the largest population to easily draw from.

But Batavia wouldn't be easy for ANYONE.

The only people concerned about not spending the money seem to live in upstate NY. NYC will always be building a new facility at taxpayers expense, why shouldn't upstate NY as well.

NYC has more than 10 times our population, and the jets stadium would cost less per capita than the renovations to the ralph did. Not to mention the convention center and Olympics piece of the puzzle.

And to put a finer point on it, if there are going to be state of the art (expense) luxury boxes etc., the Bills need to pull from a larger pool of people and market to a larger fan base to maximize their earning power.

Hell, I'm from SE Rochester and I love the Bills. Do you have a big problem with that, Live&DieBillsFootball? Are you too lazy to drive a little farther yourself, or feel like your Buffalo identity is being shaken by including us Kodak and Xerox children on your "team"?

Let's keep the Buffalo name for heritage sake, but frankly, it takes the whole region to support our Bills.

Go Bills!

I feel honored to finally make someone's ignore list.

I just find the idea of a Bills stadium in Batavia to be one of the stupidest ideas that I have ever heard. Building a new stadium in the middle of nowhere just doesn't seem like a smart idea from the standpoint of economic development. A new stadium in Downtown Buffalo would at least give an economic boost to the area in terms of hotel rooms, restaurants and bars. It also may get people to spend the weekend here going to casinos, Bass Pro, the Canadian Ballet and other cultural places.

Too much sense of entitlement.  Whiny Amerks fans lamenting the team's vast amount of wins to losses.  Pissing off the Baltimore Orioles......when does it all end?

:D  ;)

Yeah, the orioles, that really was a big one. Now they're stuck being the top farm team for the twins. Yeah isnt that sh-------, the best overall minor league system in baseball at least as of a few years ago.

Why does the word "regional" have to mean moving things east of Buffalo? There are people who live to the west of Buffalo who support the team too. Not as many as in Rochester, but you take places like Dunkirk, Fredonia, Westfield, Jamestown, Chautauqua, etc. and there's a reasonable number of people. Moving the stadium 40 - 50 miles east makes it that much longer for people in western Western New York to get to games.

What's the percentage of people outside of Buffalo that are season ticket holders if its damn large?

Are you really threatening to put him on the ignore list? Seriosuly dude, he just threw a shot at Rochester. We take shots all the time in Buffalo. Sack up.
