Is it still illegal to remove your helmet in the field of play?

I ask because after Charles Clay dropped (yes he dropped it) the pass at the goal line, Kiko Alonzo removes his helmet and starts celebrating. Watch the replays and you'll see it. I thought that was a 15 yard penalty. Granted this crap officiating crew wouldn't have the stones to make that call against the home team but that's being discussed in other topics.

It depends on the player, the team that player plays for and the team that player is playing against, as well as the zebra crew.

I'd love to see the rules of this league apply to every player.... Quite clearly they don't.

Yes, it is

but on basically the last play of the game ?   Not really.

its 4th down on the 20?   Half the distance to the goal   meaningless

...I believe the rule specifies celebrating, taunting or in a confrontation....15 yd personal foul.....think a player removing his helmet as he proceeds to exit the field of play is excluded.....

I'm not sure I'd want to be a defender coming up on Allen in that particular moment.

Kiko was wise enough to give him a wide hearth, I’m sure!

(Kiko? Wise? That doesn’t sound right.....)
