26CornerBlitz
Return of Jack Conklin Great News for Titans' Offensive Line Turron Davenport ESPN NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Third-year right tackle Jack Conklin made his 2018 debut against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. He missed all of training camp and the Tennessee Titans' first three games as he recovered from a torn ACL he suffered during the divisional playoff game against the New England Patriots in January. Conklin's return brings much-needed stability to the offensive line, and it excites Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota to see the other half of his bookend bodyguards in the lineup. After a depressing loss in Green Bay, it’ll be a good opportunity to give the home crowd reason to believe in the growth of this team. One area that wasn’t a problem versus the Packers was the defense, and this time they have a more favorable matchup on the horizon. Tennessee’s offense is ranked 28th in the league in points per game (18.8) and 26th in total yards (312.2). Despite the low rankings, this is a group that has some dangerous weapons. Let’s give them a look: We’ve already seen how the Bills’ defense matchup against the Titans’ offense. Now it’s time to look at the other side of the ball. Buffalo’s 31st-ranked offense is struggling terribly in 2018 and comes from being shutout versus the Packers’ defense. Now they’ll take on a very good Tennesse unit that is ranked 6th in the league with 18.2 points allowed per game. Can the Josh Allen-led group rebound on Sunday? Let’s figure it out:

26CornerBlitz
4 Causes of Concern for Bills vs. Titans By: Justin DiLoro The Buffalo Bills are coming off a disappointing performance against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 4. The Packers shut out the Bills, 22-0. The Bills ended the day with only 145 total yards. In addition, the offense struggled to prolong drives, converting only three of 16 third-down chances. While Buffalo returns home for Week 5 the challenge doesn’t get any easier. The Titans are tied for the AFC South lead at 3-1. Their roster sports several young players who are on the verge of a breakout season. With this in mind, here are four concerns the Bills have in their game this week against Tennessee: Marcus Mariota Titans running backs Corey Davis and Taywan Taylor Titans’ stingy defense
26CornerBlitz
Around the NFL: Bills-Titans game predictions Titans-Bills: A Look at the All-Time Series The Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills will face each other for the 46th time this weekend. Between the regular and postseason, the Titans lead the series, 28-17. In regular season meetings alone, the Titans lead, 27-15. Buffalo Bills vs. Tennessee Titans: Preview, odds, predictions for Week 5 By Matt Parrino | mparrino@nyup.com Orchard Park, N.Y. -- Coming off a 22-0 shutout loss on the road in Green Bay last week, frustrated Buffalo Bills fans will fill New Era Field Sunday in hopes their team can return to form from a Week 3 shocking upset against Minnesota. In that game, which now seems like a distant memory after watching rookie quarterback Josh Allen get sacked seven times in Green Bay, the Bills offense scored 27 points against a Vikings defense that many believed was Super Bowl quality heading into the season. The Tennessee Titans come to town this week and bring one of the best defenses in the NFL through the first month of the season. They sacked Carson Wentz four times and hurried him 12 times in a win last week. Buffalo has been without a consistent running game all season. Star running back LeSean McCoy has yet to eclipse the 100-yard mark... for the season. The Bills secondary is beat up. Safeties Micah Hyde and Rafael Bush are questionable for Sunday and that could mean rookie Siran Neal will make his first start after playing just seven snaps all season. After this game the Bills go on the road for two more games against Houston and Indianapolis before returning to Buffalo to take on rival New England. To keep hope alive for this season the Bills may have to win Sunday vs. the Titans. Get to know the Titans Odds How to follow the game What the Bills are saying What the Titans are saying Parrino's Prediction The Bills have to play better than they did a week ago, right? The problem I see for Buffalo this week is that they're struggling to protect the quarterback and Tennessee is getting in the face of the opposing team's quarterback on a regular basis. The Buffalo defense should keep it in this game and may even allow the Bills to threaten for a win late, but the inexperience of Allen may show again this week and the Bills drop to 1-4. Titans 21, Bills 13 Talbot's prediction The Titans are 3-1, but I could see this game being a lot closer than some expect. In two road contests, the Titans have scored 29 points (14.5 PPG). It's a small sample size, but Tennessee hasn't put away any of their opponents convincing. That said, Buffalo's offense will have to be a lot better than they were one week ago if that were to happen. At the end of the day, it's hard to pick Buffalo due to their offensive struggles. 26CornerBlitz
Subscription Required for Full Access: This is Mike Vrabel’s first season as head coach in Tennessee, and his team resembles his playing career. The Titans are smart and scrappy and have gotten off to a strong start at 3-1. Vrabel is a defensive-minded coach, which is why it was vital that he hired an up-and-coming offensive mind to engineer the Marcus Mariota-led offense. Enter Matt LaFleur. If you don’t know him, get to know him, because he will be a head coach very soon. LaFleur has been in the league for nine years, but he made his name as Matt Ryan’s quarterbacks coach (2015-16) in Atlanta under the tutelage of the offensive coordinator at the time, Kyle Shanahan. While the Titans are a run-first team, LaFleur is just scratching the surface with his wideouts. He has the football acumen and playbook to really create issues for the hobbled Bills secondary. The Bills’ coverage scheme is rooted in disciplined zone coverage. But if LaFleur can dial up the correct formational alignments that include condensed splits by their receivers, Davis and Taylor could have a ton of success against it. 26CornerBlitz
The Tennessee Titans (3-1) are currently on a three-game winning streak with wins against the division rival Jacksonville Jaguars and defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. This weekend, they will travel to Orchard Park, NY to face the Buffalo Bills, who are coming off a 22-0 shutout on the road by the Green Bay Packers. Buffalo may be struggling on both sides of the ball, but there are still some players to keep an eye on. Here are three Bills to turn your attention to on Sunday: 1. QB Josh Allen 2. RB LeSean McCoy 3. CB Tre’Davious White
26CornerBlitz
3 keys to a Bills win over the Titans in Week 5 By: Clint Brooks fter a 22-0 shutout loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 4, the Buffalo Bills (1-3) will be looking to get back into the win column when they host the Tennessee Titans (3-1) at New Era Field in Week 5. The Bills are five-point underdogs against Tennessee which marks the second time in 2018 that they’ll be the dark horse at home. If Buffalo wants to be favored in future games, they’ll not only have to convince the oddsmakers that they can best a very beatable Titans team on home soil, but they’ll also have to cover the spread in the process. In order to do just that, here are three keys the Bills will have to follow in series to conquer Tennessee. 26CornerBlitz
Six matchups to watch during Titans-Bills By Mike B. Herndon By Mike B. Herndon The 3-1 Titans travel to western New York this week to take on the 1-3 Buffalo Bills. Both teams have had very strange starts to the season, but in very different ways. The Titans fought through a rash of early injuries to key players to beat two division rivals and the defending Super Bowlchamps. The Bills opened with a blowout 47-3 loss against the Ravens which prompted an immediate break-glass-in-case-of-emergency call to rookie quarterback Josh Allen. Since making the QB change, Buffalo is 1-2 with the win being the most shocking result of the season as the Bills went on the road and their defense stifled the Vikings on the way to a 27-6 win. This has all the makings of a trap game for Tennessee. On the road against an inferior opponent, coming off an emotional win against the defending champs, big home game against Baltimore looming next week. However, these are games that good teams win and if the Titans don’t sleepwalk through this one that’s exactly what they should do. 26CornerBlitz
Joe B: 5 Things to Watch for in Buffalo Bills vs. Tennessee Titans (10/7/18) (WKBW) - The Buffalo Bills, after two straight weeks of being on the road, finally get back to New Era Field for just their second home game of the season. It's the lone break of a grueling stretch on the road, with it being the only reprieve of four away contests over a five-week span. On Sunday, they'll be up against the Tennessee Titans, a team that has found the way to win three of their first four games under a new head coach. Before the season began, it looked like a potentially winnable game for the Bills, but the Titans' hot start has made them the road favorites. Do the Bills have a chance to get back in the win column? Five things to watch for on Sunday: 1) What's next for Allen? How can he bounce back? 2) Wide receiver movement coming? 3) Tre'Davious White's next assignment 4) Attacking Mariota up the middle 5) A switch at safety Injury Report Buffalo QUESTIONABLE: S Rafael Bush (shoulder), TE Charles Clay (ankle), S Micah Hyde (groin) Tennessee OUT: S Kenny Vaccaro (elbow), LB Wesley Woodyard (shoulder) QUESTIONABLE: T Dennis Kelly (illness) Bills Inactives Projection: RB Marcus Murphy, OT Conor McDermott, G Wyatt Teller, G Ike Boettger, CB Dontae Johnson, S Rafael Bush, S Micah Hyde - If the Bills do make Kelvin Benjamin inactive, my hunch is that Murphy would be active from this group. 26CornerBlitz
Week 5 Mismatches: Titans ready to punish Allen, Conner set for big day Here are four of the most one-sided matchups in Week 5 of the NFL season: Titans' defense vs. Josh Allen To the surprise of many, the Tennessee Titans have beaten two of the NFL's top four teams in the Jaguars and Eagles over the past two weeks. While injuries have somewhat limited the Titans' offense, the defense has been sensational, allowing just 18.3 points per game - the sixth fewest in the league. Next, Tennessee will travel to Buffalo to face Josh Allen and the Bills. Other than when Allen played out of his mind against Minnesota in a surprising Week 3 win, the Buffalo offense has struggled mightily this season, failing to score more than three points in two of four contests. It should be more of the same this weekend.

26CornerBlitz
From Albert Breer: 10. It’s worth keeping an eye on Titans rookie Harold Landry this week going against a shaky Buffalo line. Tennessee, like everyone else, was aware of the medical concerns surrounding Landry in April, as well as the questions on his motor. But they had connections at Boston College—GM Jon Robinson knows the program well from his decade-and-a-half as a Patriots scout, and coach Mike Vrabel’s son Tyler plays there—and got good info on Landry. They’ve felt all along he was a first-round talent, which is showing now. Bills Today: Playing 'Together as One' the Plan to Stop Mariota
