I wonder if we could/would have landed Darnold if he didn’t turn that down.

Probably tbh. You had the ammo to trade with the Colts but we offered just a little more and also had an inside connection with the Colts front office...if we don’t need to pull the trigger on the trade then that #3 pick most likely becomes yours because no one else was going to outbid your team.

I imagine the show was this:

*intro*

“I was a free agent. I signed with the best team available that offered the most money.”

*credits roll*

Your imagination would make you incorrect.

Kirk Cousins files trademark for 'You Vike That!' because of course he does

Never say that Kirk Cousins does not know how to capitalize on a financial opportunity. Cousins has been one of the NFL's most well-compensated players over the past several seasons, making $19,953,000 on the franchise tag with Washington back in 2016 and $23,943,600 on the tag in 2017 before signing a massive, three-year, $84 million, fully-guaranteed contract with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason.

But now Cousins has found another potential revenue stream: trademarks. According to Sportsnaut, Cousins filed an application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office in an attempt to trademark the phrase, "YOU VIKE THAT!"

Savvy.

Minnie made a ton of sense for Cousins over NYJ.  Just a better situation now and a better coach. Zimmer  seems like he is the Bruce Arians’ type of coach. Players love playing for him because he is honest , tough, but fare. Bowles is decent but uninspiring.

He stepped into a great situation with a team that has legit Super Bowl aspirations.  Taking less money to go to MIN was the right move.

All depends if Indy wanted to trade that far down.
