KDIGGZ Posted March 24, 2015 Author Share Posted March 24, 2015 A lot of the same old stuff but I love the national media attention we are getting: -open competition at QB -2 practice fields going -surprised McCoy was available -trade took 30 min to complete -having pro bowl RB will take pressure off QB -if he had Jim Kelly he would pass more -defense can run 3-4 or 4-3 -excited for the season but players aren't even in yet -truck is about as subtle as a punch in the nose -but he's all in. "This will be my last head coaching job" You could tell Polian was excited to talk to him. No, you're right. People buy way too much into the "3 down lineman" or "4 down lineman". Though 3-4 or 4-3 used to designate the number of down lineman, it now refers more to the shade which the DT's play. I thought it was hilarious how mort told him to run the k gun since he has Sammy and he said if he had HOF QB, RB and WR in Kelly, Thurman and reed he would have run the k gun and been really successful too, looking right at Polian.
