3rdnlng Posted December 9, 2014 Share Posted December 9, 2014 Infrastructure is a huge need, and from what I've seen all walks of political life agree on it... it's crazy that it continues to be a big problem here. One can only assume money that is supposed to go towards infrastructure is lining someone's pockets and/or other money that is supposed to go to infrastructure gets re-routed into other spending with shinier political ramifications. It's rather frustrating. The stimulus money went to such shovel ready jobs as state and local employees, Solyndra and Tasker's sidewalk. We may agree on the need for spending on infrastructure but there is a need for insuring that any monies allocated for infrastructure actually get spent on it. The dems are always painting us doubters as something evil because we don't trust the government. Well, the government shouldn't be trusted. Do you actually believe that if we passed an amnesty bill that called for the borders to be secured within 2-3 years that the dems would actually allow it to happen? Has the fence been built? B-Large Posted December 9, 2014 Share Posted December 9, 2014 When our government tells us it needs more of our money in order to address a very narrowly defined and specific concern, do you find it unreasonable that the High Law binds the use of those tax dollars to that purpose exclusively?
