The cross shredding model is the preferred way to go, tough enough to do credit cards, etc. As a double security measure, I dispose of the shreddings in a plastic bag every few days, dump the cat litter on top of it, and then dump my son's diaper genie waste on top of that. If someone wants my info, they're going to have to go through a lot of sh-- to find it. Only you can prevent identity theft. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For $200, get this one: Fellowes PS70-2CD It will do everything (including CD's), and is perfect if you're doing less than 5 minutes of shredding per day. You can usually find it on sale for $150. In my office, we do a TON of shedding - so much that we don't use shedders in the office, we use a company called "Shed-It". You have locked bins throughout the building. Once a month, Shed It comes, and two employess collect the bags that are in the bins. They then escort the Shed It guy to the truck, where it is all shedded within 50 - 90 seconds.
