If a young Lynch is only worth a 5th round pick on the open market, how much is an old RB worth? A 7th round pick??? FredEx's value to us is far greater than his trade value. BobChalmers Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Its not extremely rare for a QB to fall, Aaron Rogers, Brett Favre & Dan Marino fell down, its mostly due to need & there are really only have 4 teams in need of a QB so the demand isn't high & after Smith & Barkley are gone look for the 2nd round to explode for QB's Huh?? Rodgers only "fell" to #23 overall. Favre and Marino are from another era of football. Marino was competing with 5 other first-round QB's, two of whom went to the HoF, and he still went in the first at #27 - what the heck kind of "fall" is that? I feel Spiller needs the full time role, there are plenty of good backups on the market cheaper than Jackson Nobody would make that trade, and Spiller needs to be the starter, but he can't play full time, won't happen, can't happen. He can't be used up the gut at the goal line, he fumbles too often when he takes a hit. He has improved on his pass blocking, but still not in the same universe as Fred Jackson when it comes to pass blocking. You have to give more then that if you wanted to move too high up, but Jackson wouldn't be in a deal. Is there really anything in the draft that you would give up to move very far up? No QB in this draft is worth moving up for in the first round Exactly, the time to do that was in last years draft, but these idiots at OBD convinced themselves that FItz was an NFL caliber quarterback. Now that they figured out what most people knew 2 years ago, and that they need a QB, there really isn't anything great out there. Good job Buddy. Nassib will not fall to the 3rd round. If anything, he'll move up to the 2nd or even late 1st. Just look at last year's QB class. There were many that moved up into the 1st that nobody would have predicted to. As for Aaron Rodgers, being picked 23 is not a fall. In fact, based on his college career, he was picked in the appropriate spot. And as someone else pointed out, Marino and Favre are from a much different era.
