The only defender with any heart is Kyle Williams. Graham ran the wrong dam route. This defense is historically bad. There is no QB on this team better than Fitz. Go ahead and waste a high draft pick on a QB and piss away any chance of making the playoffs next year. This team needs an entire new defensive coaching staff and three LB's. It's obvious. You want Spiller to run the ball more then get the offense the ball back. Make a play on third down. Cause a turnover. Catch the dam tipped ball for a pick-six. Stealth Posted November 11, 2012 Share Posted November 11, 2012 I'm always iffy on Fitz. You want to route for the guy, and hes easily the most together qb we've had since Flutie. I'd rather watch Fitz play then any game during the Johnson,Bledsoe, Holcomb, Losman, Edwards tenures. He obviously has his faults. I also think he's been dealt a really bad hand. This team misses David Nelson. Outside of SJ and Chandler to say we don't have reliable receiving targets is putting it mildly. Everytime Donald Jones shows potential he gets hurt. Then he has a head coach who refuses to help him out by taking pressure off fitzpatrick bv getting the ball to our best player in Spiller. I don't like hating on the guy either but he's way too inconsistent to depend on. TJ may have been the one who messed up on the INT but he still had Johnson and Spiller open on his other reads. Does Kyle Williams suck also? His win loss record with the Bills has got to be equal or worse than Fitz or does Dareus suck too, as his w/l record is 9-16.It is ridiculous to blame one player for the whole teams failures. Gailey himself doesn't know how to win and can't tell the difference between a QB who can and cannot win. Making the playoffs next year is not a natural progression toward building a Super Bowl winner, for the same reason that building a successful riding mower is not necessarily a natural progression toward building a successful racecar. If you want a racecar, you have to build it from the ground up. For a team like the Bills, building a Super Bowl-capable team means upgrading the quarterback position. (Among other positions.) The empty backfield stuff is ridiculous. Without David Nelson our wr core goes from average to seriously below. Donald Jones gets hurt every 6 plays. He simply is not, week after week game after game he does just enough to lose. Check out his record as a starter and that is all you need . I wish they'll magically get better because mere job experience hasn't. I want to believe in them but constantly being let down causes me to just expect the worst. Simply drafting a qb does not equal= franchise qb. Too many teams make this mistake. The best route to go is to keep Fitz and let the rooke learn on the bench and mature into a starting role.
