On April 26th ....

The Bills War Room Draft Board will look something like this....

1. QB Luck......... Franchise Pick

2. QB Griffin ..... Franchise Pick

3. QB Tannenhil.... Franchise Pick

4. OT Kalil........ All Pro Pick

5. RB Richardson... All Pro Pick

6. CB Claiborne.... All Pro Pick even with a 4 on his wonderlic

7. LB Kuechly...... Can't miss pick.. Great player.. fills positions of need.. in 4/3 & 3/4 defense

Here is where it gets interesting... Bills will take any of above 7. After that the Bills will now except a trade down if offered one to pick up a additional 3rd round pick...

8. OG Decastro..... Bills do not pick guards this high, but they do pick future all pro players ...

9. WR Blackmon..... Great player, but could be boom or bust with all his off field problems.. Could be another T.O

10. OT............. Who ever is best.. Reiff, Glenn, Martin or Adams... We do not know how they interviewed.

The easiest position to draft for is Line Backer.. If they play like animals in college, that is the way they play in the NFL... The toughest position to draft for is OL... You do not know what is in their heart...

And their are other players who can sneak into the top 10 on other teams draft boards... This is what I believe the Bills draft board will look like on April 26th ......

You lose me as soon as you post that Tannenhill is a "franchise" pick. He may be a good pro quarterback at some point in his career but on draft day someone is going to pick him way too high and then have to sit back waiting for the potential to show up.

The Bills better not have Richardson on their board because that selection will not help the team. So, that means two of your seven that the Bills "will pick" are not picks for them.

So back to my morning coffee chuckling over the Tannenhill caravan!

Lol at Tannehill being a franchise pick. Also what off field problems does Blackmon have?

Off-field concerns include a DUI arrest in October, 2010 in Arlington, Texas when, not coincidentally, he went to visit Bryant and see a Cowboys' game.

For the Kuechly crowd,

If the Bills were interested in taking an inside LB than may or may not play outside in the NFL at the #10 overall pick, Why wouldn't they have taken Mark Herzlich in the 7th in 2011?

You get a better player, better story, at a cheaper price.

Don't get your hopes up Kuechly, it is not very likely imo.

Has there ever been a draft where the top 7 players on the board all turn out to be perrenial pro bowlers/franchise players? It is very likely that at least 2 of these guys will be busts 2 more will be middling talents and then 3 pro bowlers. I also am in the camp that thinks DeCastro will not be on their board or their pick due to the whole try tackles and if they fail make them guards theory.

I'm not sure if your serious or not but just in case you are...

Kuechly had almost as many tackles this year (191) as Herzlich had in his career (218). Listen to these numbers from Kuechly:

Kuechly led the nation with an astounding 191 tackles

Kuechly compiled his stats in the 12-game regular season, as the team finished with a 4-8 record and was ineligible for post-season play.

He still almost broke the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) single-season tackle record (193, set by Lawrence Flugence in a 14-game season) and did break the single season tackles-per-game record with 15.9 (previously held by Rick Sherrod with a 15.6 average over a 10-game season).[12]

Kuechly broke the BC and ACC career tackle records with 532 tackles, eclipsing the previous record of 524 held by Stephen Boyd and only 13 tackles short of the NCAA FBS record held by Tim McGarigle (and Kuechly did it in only 3 years)

Herzlich may be a better "story" with the coming back from cancer but they are not anywhere on the same level as a player.

To play the devil's advocate, if NCAA tackle records are an indicator of future NFL performance, that's not a stellar crew to be compared with.
