Bills Fail Again on Second Round Pick

Every year the Bills reach on players they could have had later in the draft. If they are going to reach, why don't they trade down for more picks. Troup could have been had in the third round and we could have gained another pick by trading down. The Bills rarely get good value out of their picks.

Just watch, in the third round they will reach for a prospect they could have had in the fourth or fifth round.

My honest opinion is if we don't trade Whitner or Lynch for an extra early round pick with good value that fills a legitimate need, this draft is a bust and will receive a poor grade.

I mean even Detroit and Oakland are doing well in this years draft. This could be the defining draft that shows that the Bills front office really has no clue. The Bills really are the laughing stock of the league.

Outside of Jacksonville's first round pick, the Troup pick is the biggest reach so far in the draft based on what was still available.

Funny I thought we were running a 3-4 this year? That requires a NT that doesn't move. He isn't a pass rusher, he takes up space so LB's can attack. Troup is the best in this draft, yes even over the over hyped cody, at doing just that.

So this front office so far has taken the most explosive player in the draft and the NT for our needs in the draft.

Who thought Clausen would fall that far? The draft is full of unknowns. Nothing is certain and it's tough to predict who'll where and when.

It's not a reach when you draft a player who fills a huge need for you and is exactly the player you want with all the qualities and abilities you desire.

Dude, you have never watched a CF game in your life so just stop. And who are the Bills LB's going to attack? Kelsay and Maybin are not scaring anyone. What does the inside of Nix's colon look like anyway?

Kelsay and Maybin aren't even starting LBs on this team.

Wow, how much thought and research did you really put into this? If we picked cody or thomas would it of been ok? Troup was the best DT with the best value on the board. Cody is a fat slob who can only play 15-20 reps a game and has serious weight issues. FYI this team is in serious overhall, and it starts with playmakers and toughness in the trenches.

Who would you they have rather taken? Cody? Please, that guy is just as likely to eat himself out of the NFL as he is to be a future Pro Bowler.

Troup is a fine pick. He is a true 3-4 NT. He's in great shape and has great power. What more do you want?

The guy has not played a down in the NFL and you are calling him a failure? I'm guessing you have never seen him play and you are worried about some writer grading the Bills draft?

Ahhhh. So is that what it's all about? Someone's grade. And who's grade are we concerned about? :D

Nolan Nawrocki has him rated the 92 best prospect.

I would have taken the following DT before Troup

Al Woods

C. Thomas

L. Houston

L. Joseph

or the following LT's

Charles Brown

Ducasse

or the following Qb's

Clausen

Don't get me wrong he works for me in the third round but not a high second round pick with all these other players available.

Ducasse is a LT? :D
