  1. So adding aging re-treads is the answer to our ten year drought? Ok.
  2. Oh God no. The man does not have any shoulder left and I've seen my Bills make him look bad a number of times. This would be a joke.
  3. Definately a questionable selection. Especially considering Reed, Carter and Brown all being much more HoF-worthy. EDIT: And yes I'm aware of the senior committe. I just hate the HoF selection process.
  4. The needs are plentiful. IMO, this year's LT class is weak too.
  5. His best days are behind him. I don't know how much he has left to give. If the Jags are simply going to release him pre-draft, that should tell you something. I'd say pass on this one.
  6. Both Clausen and McClain aren't locks to go in the top 8. As it stands right now, pre-free agency, the Bills needs in order of importance are: QB, LT, DE, NT, OLB, ILB, WR. Positional value is important, so is filling needs. The Bills should find themselves in a position to address one of their top needs with a great prospect, drafted at good value.
  7. HoF voting/selection is and always has been a joke.
  8. All three belong in the HoF.
  9. Personally, I think it's okay to overlook the need at WR because the needs for a QB, O-Lineman, D-Lineman, and LBs take precedent IMO. The Bills' situation at WR is interesting to me. Evans is a starter (duh). Steve Johnson looked promising and I was excited about his development last year and unfortunately he was relegating to riding the pine all year. Hardy hasn't been given a fair chance and I haven't given up on him. Physcially, he's a specimen; tall, basketball player. I want to see what he can do going into camp healthy. Nothing is guaranteed, but both Johnson and Hardy should be given every opportunity to earn a starting spot. Could make for an interesting and exciting battle. A wait-and-see approach is most appropriate because Free Agency looms and who knows what'll happen.
  10. Schobel is a good pass rusher and if all we do is ask to to just rush and chase runners out into the falts, he'll be fine. If he decides to keep playing the transition shouldn't be too difficult. He'll have OTAs and Training Camp to get comfortable. I think he can do it. He's still a pass rusher, we're just asking him to do it from a two-point stance as opposed to a three-point stance.
  11. It is cold in Buffalo and who wouldn't enjoy being somewhere warm and sunny? It's all about context. You can perceive something positively or negatively. Not everything is a shot at Buffalo or the Bills. Some people read into things too much and are too sensitive.
  12. If you were a 21 year old millionaire with time off from your job, you'd be partying too. I know I would.
  13. I didn't know his career needed saving. He's 21 and is still growing and getting better. He was drafted as a project player. Everyone knew pre-draft that he wasn't going to have an immediate impact. Rather, he had tremendous upside and potential.
  14. What a goof. Not cool.
  15. We had an undrafted pro bowl LT and we traded him away. But let's not re-hash that.
  16. This just pisses me off because of what happened resulting in us losing Bill Polian. He knows football.
  17. I disagree with that point. I look to what Pittsburgh did with a young Big Ben. They asked him to simply manage games by not turning the ball over and making the occasional throw, all the while letting the run game and defense win the game. They asked him to "not lose the game". This is what's appropriate for a young QB so he can be brought along slowly and grow in confidence until he becomes the leader by example.
  18. Not a trend. That's considered old-school football. Smash-mouth. My favourite too.
  19. Completely worth it. Master of his craft playing the most important/difficult position in football (and all sports). When he retires he'll go down as the greatest QB of all time.
  20. Easy question to answer. Jim and Bruce.
  21. I wanted him to be our HC. It wasn't what he wanted and I'm glad he was classy about it.
