  1. The thing that gets me the most, other than the fact that he should be learning and practicing with the team, is that we are so in the dark on this. There is a fair amount of news each day on both Andre SMith and Crabtree and how the two sides in both cases are far apart. With Maybin there is absolutely nothing. I don't get it
  2. Thanks! Look forward to hearing some news.
  3. Agreed. Definitely park in a lot near the stadium, and get there EARLY. It's a ton of fun. If it's a 1 pm game I'd say get there between 8:30 and 9:30
  4. I'd say if you want to eat some great wings go to Duffs in Amherst and/or Gabiels Gate. If you want to go to the place where they originated then there is Anchor Bar, although their wings aren't as good.
  5. Tim, to reiterate the previous post, please give us some info on Maybin. I'm dying here. This holdout is killing me. Anymore ime missed and his season could be lost.
  6. Our camp is over Wednesday morning, at least that what Whitner said on his Twitter page
  7. I was hoping when I got the text it was going to say something about Maybin. He better be signed by the end of the day
  8. He's also hardly a kid
  9. I can't find any link that works to show the game. does anyone have one that actually works?
  10. I know last year there were some sites that were linked here in order to watch the games
  11. Jairus Byrd? What's wrong with him? He's signed. I'm sure with a pro-bowler father, he'd rather sit at home and watch TV. You people need to stop sniffing so much glue
  12. The problem with the Crabtree situation is that he isn't falling into line, which is what normally happens. His agent wants to get him paid as if he was a top 3-5 player. The fact is..he wasn't. He was the 10 pick. Expecting to get paid more than that is crazy. The fact is, however, by him holding out he may force the hand. The other players before and after Crabtree, are banking on the hope that he hits a big payday that would lead to them getting more money. Had he just accepted being picked 10th and taking that money it would be fine. His agent is doing the same thing, but he is going against the grain. Crabtree WAS NOT a top 5 pick and therefore should not be paid as such.
  13. Oh, I forgot, it's Maybin who is responsible for all of this. I understand now....Give me a break. His agent is doing what he's hired to do. Make his client money. It sucks, sure, but if Crabtree's agent (and we know him well), wasn't such an f'ing d'bag then we wouldn't be in this situation
  14. It's pretty apparent to me that most, if not all of you, who have responded to this thread either hate that he's holding out or just outright hate the pick. Am i happy that he's not playing, no. But it's not his damn fault. We are talking about millions of dollars here. He wants to play, but he's not going to rush into it until he is able to do the best for himself and his family. I want him to play as much as anyone, but all of you stop hating. My god, are you telling me that if you could make a million more or hundred thousand more here or there, you wouldn't take it. You f'ing crazy.
  15. oops sorry. the search function would have helped me out greatly on this one
  16. For those of you on this board that have called him greedy and questioned his heart or desire, read this article on ESPN. The kid WANTS to play, and badly. As lame as it sounds, if you read his posts on twitter he seems like a pretty serious and dedicated football player. I hope he gets signed soon because he wants to play, and he will help the team. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp...ce=NFLHeadlines
  17. With Moreno close to signing, I hope the agent for Maybin realizes that Crabtree might take a VERY long time to sign a deal, if any deal at all, and uses Moreno's deal as a framework for Maybin. If they keep waiting for Crabtree I don't think we see much of Maybin this year. BUT, if Moreno signs, as the rumor states, then I think he gets signed fast as is in camp next week
  18. Not a surprise at all. I actually think they will help solidify the middle in the run game. It's our entire O-Line on pass protection that worries me the most
  19. I totally understand. It's just frustrating he can't step right in like a lot of other defensive players drafted in the first round
  20. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/8/4/9...ybin-holdout-in What upsets me the most about this is the fact he won't be a starter and wasn't even drafted as one. A pick that high SHOULD start. I've been reading very positive things about Orakpo, Clay Matthews, Michael Oher, etc. Players who we could have taken. Maybin was picked 11 and isn't even projected as a starter. Is a situational pass-rusher worth that pick?
  21. Damn, I was getting my hopes up
  22. http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/columns...ory/753358.html Is this speculation on his part or are there developments with any of the other draft picks that would affect Maybin's signing?
  23. Agreed, he needs to get to camp. His agent, however, is doing his job which is getting his client the most money he can. If Crabtree gets money like Heyward-Bey then it affects the money Maybin might be able to get. It's very unfortunate, but Maybin is tied to Crabtree. It is possiblem however, that if Moreno signs, Maybin will follow. He needs to get to camp and start working or IMO his rookie year will be a wash because he will not have had the practice time
