  1. You're not out of the woods yet; that's NFL Network's coverage. I'm sure ESPN's wills till be in HD.
  2. Haha, I'm going to uncomfortably go back in and edit my post... I get a little excited around draft time, hahaha
  3. I can listen to the pigment argument, but not the school argument. He played at Kansas State, a Big 12 school. It's not exactly Peabody Community College.
  4. Yeah, I plan on the Bills drafting Gholston, Ellis, McKelvin and Sweed. I'm not sure how, but that's what I'm thinking. Pretty sweet, huh?
  5. The draft on a fifty foot plasma!?!?!? I was looking forward to my party, but I'd like to cancel mine and come to yours.
  6. Yeah, that's my concern with Nelson. People can say he's not as highly touted because he's white, but I think there is this idea that Nelson can step right in and play opposite Evans. Unfortunately, that won't happen. He will need time to develop, and there is no guarantee he can be an outside threat in the NFL. I'm not saying Thomas, Sweed and Hardy are guartees, but their play seems to translate a better as of right now.
  7. 1. Leodis McKelvin (CB) 2. Jordy Nelson (WR) 3. Kellen Davis (TE) 4. Xavier Adibi, (LB) 4B. Curtis Johnson, (DE) It's funny how everyone has different opinions at this time.
  8. I don't understand. The Packers pick 30th.
  9. Bring Lawrence Jackson to Buffalo!!
  10. I think that's a pretty fair assessment. You can't compare Moss' situation to Johnson. Johnson certainly will cost at least a second rounder from a team like Philadelphia. One aspect is the contract. He already has a new deal, and it will be really tough on Cincinnati to move him because they already paid his signing bonus recently. So whatever team adds him will not be responsible for paying out a large sum of money up front (at least for now). And I'd say it's safe to say if he gets out of Cincinnati, he'll probably not ask for a new contract for a season or two. He's already collected more than half of his contract that runs through 2011, so he's under contract for four more seasons. If he's traded, he will definitely be moved for a first or second round pick.
  11. Dude, Allen bothers me, but in last year's game against the Colts when the Chiefs almost pulled an upset, he was getting to Manning on every single play unlike an DE I've ever seen.
  12. The only ones I would add is Brandan Albert and (simply because this is a shock thread) MLB Erin Henderson. I saw his name batted around by the Bills somehwere.
  13. I understand the concept you're talking about, and I agree. But if you were the Chiefs, and the Bills were offering Losman, a second and fourth and the Vikings were offering a first and second? You wouldn't even consider the Bills offer. Probably not even if we offered a first instead of a second. Losman is a non-factor. As for salary, Allen would have no reason to sign a performance based contract. He's proven he's a force. His agent plans on making him the highest paid DE in the league. Trust me, if there was a way to make Allen a Bill, I would listen. It's just not possible under your circumstances. Just my two cents.
  14. That's great... how about an over/under on Mel Kiper's FAVORITE phrase (a verbal crutch, if you will), "When you look at..." He has toned it down the last two drafts, but when he used to get more air time I would honestly put the over/under at 150.
  15. You gotta look into this stuff a little more. The talk right now is the Vikings signing Allen outright, which would cost them TWO first round picks, not just a secord or third in a trade. Even if they hammer out a deal with KC, it will be a first and second. Also, he will demand a contract greater than Schobel's. Selecting a DE at 11 would cost us a fourth of Schobel's deal. I would like to add Allen to the Bills (who wouldn't?), but it's certainly not feasible.
  16. If I remember correctly, he was a much worse return-man than he was CB. I thought he actually showed some (SOME) flashes at nickelback.
  17. I think Ezra Butler would be a great fit in Buffalo. I also think Kirk Barton would add some nice depth for us at tackle. Four-year Big 10 starter. Gotta like that.
  18. It's not that much of a reach. I mean, we don't need a DT so badly that we'd have to take Balmer, but if we hadn't added Stroud I think that would have been as much an option at 11 as DRC, Thomas or Harvey. He'll probably be selected in the Top 20.
  19. Yeah, I think with Bennett it just comes down to him being the complete package. The other top TEs round out a solid class, but all lack something. Davis is short and one-dimensional, Keller will struggle to lineup at TE in the pros, Carlson lacks big-play ability, Cottam is raw and Rucker isn't necessarily great at any one thing (I do still like him though).
  20. That guy always writes in. He is an uber-douche. Something is always "grinding his gears."
  21. Not sure. I could see him being scooped up by Denver or Chicago. Maybe even Minnesota in a real long shot.
  22. It sounds really nice on paper, but I'll take the draft pick. Sheppard is going to want a new deal and I don't think the Bills will pony up the cash for him before they attempt new deals with some of our own.
  23. That might be the greatest thing I've ever read.
