I'll be honest. I didn't like the Goodwin pick when we took him. I thought he was a reach and didn't do much in college to warrant such a high pick. It's early, of course, but I'm happy to be wrong! Tuel Time.

Woods is smooth. He was a top-10 national recruit coming out of high school and immediately started at USC. Kid can play. Nice drive by EJ for the touchdown!

He was a really good interview. Definitely a polite and well spoken kid. Said that he has been studying the playbook for 3-4 hours per day. Talked about liking the communication system (helmet radios) that the NFL uses compared to college where someone has to signal the play in. Talked a bit about the complexity of the play calls at the NFL level. They chatted about Toronto since it was his first visit to the city. He went to the CN Tower and enjoyed it but was too afraid to go outside. Stuff like that... He was sporting full Blue Jays gear and I guess threw the ball around with the team earlier in the day. Go PR piece overall.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to take a RB late in the draft since Freddie is 32 and Choice was brought in by Chan (played for him at Georgia Tech), but is generally pretty lousy as a ball carrier. Late picks are about depth... I'd take a chance on Lattimore...

As has been mentioned by many, this is not a great QB class. That said, I agree that Barkley is the best of 'em. He was the #1 QB recruit coming out of Mater Dei high school. He has all the tools and plenty of starting experience at the collegiate level against good competition. Most importantly to me, he is a smart kid. High GPA. I personally think that matter, if only because it says he will work hard. The injury concern is there though...
