I agree 100%. He had no choice but to be vague. It appears Gailey and Nix will be a tandem that doesn't tip its hand to anyone al la Bill Belicheat and AJ Smith.

When asked about Vick Gailey pretty much said we will play anyone that will help make us win. Never said yes or no on signing Vick, was vague.

He also said Brohm just came out of college recently and would like to evaluate him, thoght Fitz and Edwards did some good things in their career-won some games, said we wont pick up free agents just for the sake of picking them up/just because other teams are doing it, we're not a bad a team as people make us out to be, etc etc

Name a DC who has ties with Buddy Nix and runs a 3-4 D? Answer: Ted Cottrell.. I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned for the DC job. Cottrell did serve as SD Chargers DC in 2007 and 2008. In 2007 Cottrell's defense led the NFL in takeaways (48), interceptions (30), and passer rating defense (70.0). Cottell isn't only a good choice but he'd love to be here as well.

I too am sick and tired of people talking crap about us. I know some of it is well deserved but its gone way too overboard. The Detroit Lions don't get hammered like we do and they've sucked FOREVER. I'm glad we FINALLY have a leader who won't take any BS from anyone and hopefully will bring a culture of toughness and swagger (A La Rex Ryan) that this team has been sorely lacking for quite some time. For now I will reserve judgement on this new regime until the first month of the season is completed. We must give them a chance Bills Nation, maybe this is THE ONE, you never know.

I agree. Not only that but the Bills-Eagles are perfect trade partners because we are strong in positions Philly is weak and vice versa. Whitner and Lynch are good upgrades for Philly and Trent gives them value too.

1- I agree with the Bledsoe comparisons 2- Nix is on record saying we need a QB with a strong arm who can play in Buffalo's climate. Mcnabb has that arm and for the last several years the Eagles FO have had thoughts of trading him. Trading for Mcnabb could happen. 3- Brian Brohm could be that young backup with potential for development. If for some miracle we do get Mcnabb it gives us time to see what Brohm has to offer.

Lee Hamilton is a sports talk show host in San Diego. Secondly, Adam Shefter reported the same thing Hamilton did in that the Bills did in fact interview Jim Bates. Just because the Bills interviewed Bates doesn't mean he's going to be hired. Thirdly, I know as much as you, and I don't come across like the guy from East Aurora.

Maybe not. Don't forget Mcnabb did play at Syracuse which we all know isn't far from Buffalo so he might a say in where he goes AND there's a chance PHI doens't want him to play in the NFC.

It makes total sense but if this rumor turns out to be true then we might have a hard time competing with STL since they hold earlier draft picks then we do in every round unless we're willng to give up more in a trade.

I was thinking the same thing. Trent would actually fit in well in Philly because they run the West Coast Offense and have a good o line.

Lee Hamilton said Bills and Rams offcials have held secret meetings with Eagles officials in Mobile Alabama and have interest in trading for Mcnabb. Take it for what its worth but the last time Lee reported Bills news about Jim Bates interviewing for the DC job he ended up being correct. I hope this is true.

The QB that best fits Gaileys spread offense system is Tim Tebow. Will he be the 9th pick overall? more than likely not but don't be surprised to see the Bills trade down later in the 1st Rd to select him or stand pat at 9 and take a chance and hope he's still there in the 2nd Rd.
