  1. KC looked pretty good yesterday even though they lost. I hope we do beat up on KC, I'll be at the home opener.
  2. Don't know if this is current news or not http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=sportsxchange-000602176_report-mario-williams-leaves-buffalo-without-making-a-deal
  3. I didn"t know we were a game under .500 I thought we were 5-4
  4. Bills 21 Jets 20 I think this will be a nail biter.
  5. This is just a friendly visit by a former player. Here is a link saying he is happy with retirement. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2297/player?r=1 P.S. I just noticed this link is from May 26th. Maybe he visits the first Wednesday of the month.
  6. For those of you who would like to hear the whole interview and judge for yourself here is the link: http://audio.weei.com/a/45266549/patriot-hall-of-famer-drew-bledsoe-looks-back-on-his-career-in-new-england-and-talks-about-his-relationship-with-tom-brady.htm I personally think he was poking fun of the Buffalo weather more so than the team or fans.
  7. First half looked good. Glad to see they can still score TD. I'm not sure if we'll see Fitz in the second half but he looked really sharp. I hope this continues into the season opener.
  8. NO!!! our D is going from stout to flat. Jax just scored
  9. Out of all the players I cannot believe Kyle Williams is not a pro bowl selection. I know being a Bills fan makes me a homer but every time the Bills played an opponent they would mention Kyle Williams as playing at a pro bowl level.
  10. Even though I live in New England, I was lucky enough to watch the Bills get their first win against the Lions today. I wanted to keep the good feeling going, so I logged onto WGR 550 and was listening to callers talk about the game. Unless you want to talk about next year’s draft and who the Bills should take, you’re flat out of luck. Three callers in a row were hung up on because one called Bulldog by some other name (How an international superstar like Bulldog could be forgotten is just beyond comprehension). The next caller wanted to talk about the win today and just enjoy the moment, but as Bulldog put it, “let’s talk about what I want to talk about, not the callers”. The last caller was rambling a little too long, so they cut him off and then talked about how they thought he was going to curse (let’s face it, Bulldog not only knows everything there is about the Bills, but he can read minds as well). If this station isn’t the low rent district of radio I don’t know what is. I’ve commented before about how bad this station is, but it’s the only game in town. I like to hear the local flavor and what the bills fans are thinking so I tune in from time to time. I just grit my teeth and bear it, but after today’s display of arrogance I just can’t listen anymore.
  11. Bills take this game 24 - 14 This is the last best hope for a Bills win. I was thinking the Browns game would be another win but after watching last weeks win over the Patriots I don't see another win anytime soon.
  12. I agree with the original poster. I use to live in Buffalo and now I'm living in Massachusetts. I listen over the internet when I have some free time and after every game just to get the local prospective but the quality of WGR 550 is pretty poor. I don't know how a radio station can insult their listener’s everyday and still have listeners. When people call in they are expressing their opinions and unless those opinions align with Schopp and the Bulldog's they get trashed. It truly is amateur hour at 550.
  13. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I had other more pressing matters to attend to. My thoughts on what is fair and not fair with regards to players and owners is this: Every player has a representative (agent) with their best interest at heart (agent will receive 1/3 of contract value). For anybody to claim that the players are being screwed is naive. Each side of these negotiations is fairly represented and no one is being forced to sign on the dotted line if they do not agree to the terms. Players know going into the process that they can and most likely will be cut before their contract is fulfilled. Therefore their agent will negotiate the most amount of guaranteed money they can get. If this process was unfair they would not deal with the owners and the player association would strike over unfair conditions. The fact this hasn't happened leads me to believe no one is getting the shaft. The fact that fans are concerned with the players well being is just bizarre at best. These men are paid extremely well to play a game and if the NFL did not exists you should ask yourself what they (players) would be doing for employment and what might they be earning in that other job.
  14. When their contract is up they negotiate a better deal. One that reflect their worth for example (Winfield, Jones, Jennings, Owens, Fitzgerald, so on and so on). If they are confident they will outperform their contract they should sign a shorter term contract or a incentive laden one. The fact of the matter is they all want long term contracts because they want security they want to know they will be provided for in good times and in bad or to put it another way "To have their cake and eat it too".
