Have you ever farted real loud in public?
Alaska Darin replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
When I was in my early 20s, McDonald's still had the old booths with the hard plastic seats. The back of the seat is kinda cut down from the front, almost like the curve of a banana. This created an absolutely perfect "fart ramp". I was there eating lunch during a business day lunch hour with some of my military coworkers...place was packed. I let one go that was incredible in both volume and duration. The entire place just stopped and stared. We were just roaring. Epic. Years later I had a football Sunday where I just stuffed myself with the normal fair and copious amounts of alcohol. The next day I had gas so bad I could have cleared a pig processing facility. They were long in duration, silent, and as deadly as anything. I literally cleared half the operations floor just walking through it. I stood at the top of the middle aisle with my arms in the air like Rocky after a win. Sometimes being in the military can be so much fun. -

Furnace thermostats with energy usage monitor
Alaska Darin replied to Greybeard's topic in Off the Wall Archives
"Some furnace boards have a watchdog circuit (think nanny-state) that monitors the power sine wave & voltage entering it from the transformer. The Nest takes a small snippet bite out of the sine wave. Some boards malfunction randomly when the power comes back to the board on the G wire. Give the Nest a common and it will lay off disturbing the power it passes" -
Furnace thermostats with energy usage monitor

Talk to a furnace professional. Nest is notorious for burning out motors on older furnaces. -
Fine by me. I'd love for them to be paying him $4M more than Jack every year for a decade. Carter Hutton makes under $3 and Dahlin for the next 2 years is about $1M. It's way better to blow it up completely than be mediocre. WAY, WAY better. Imma cheer for the Patriots to be between 7-9 and 9-7 every year until I die.

No. It's been a thing in the hockey world pretty much forever. Canadian players shorten everything and add "LY" top the end. I can understand why a Sabres' fan working would ask a question about that word. We haven't witnessed a real "celly" on the ice in a decade. My two biggest celebrations since the Briere and Drury debacles were losing the game to Arizona that clinched Eichel and winning the Dahlin lottery. I got more joy out of watching fan reactions to Eichel being picked than shooting we've seen hockey-wise. Until now.
