  1. Hardy went from champ to chump in just one year at Ole Miss. This guy has been known to be lazy, self-centered guy who takes plays off. Now IF you can get someone to light a fire under him and get him to work every play, I'd love to have him. But I don't think I'd take my chances. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure he has some nagging injury of some kind.
  2. Barring a crazy combine score, McCall should be there in the 5th.
  3. I'd expect Caldwell to go in the 2nd round. He's an AP 1st Team All American who's going to the Sr. Bowl, so his stock is going to go up. And for the record, McCall is considered by many to be the best blocking TE in the draft. At Alabama, he was more of an H-back type, like Schouman. He was probably the most underappreciated piece of the puzzle that made Bama so successful on the ground this year.
  4. Two words to shoot down that idea: Sylvester Croom. His recruiting classes were horrific while he was at Mississippi State.
  5. Kenny Rogers' Jackass 2:34 mark is pretty good
  6. I was at the game near our sideline and saw Lynch wincing in pain while he was working on cuts....so yeah, he was dinged up.
  7. Crappy game, I know. But I was there and have never witnessed the fins fight song. It's got to be the gayest fight song I've heard in my life!! It sounds like an old Roy Rogers tune....Too bad they were able to sing it a lot today.
  8. Section 432!! First game I've been to since the KC Sunday night game a few years back.
  9. If you ask me, those were Jerry Stiller's greatest lines on the show!!
  10. Javier Arenas (cousin of Gilbert) is obviously the most electrifying player Bama has. If you ask me, he and Florida's Brandon James are the best punt returners in the country. You put either of them in open space and they're gonna make something happen. I would say that Arenas is on the verge of being and All-SEC cornerback, but isn't quite there. Since he's a junior who definitely won't enter the draft this year, his stock could go up. Maybe he could turn out like McKelvin, if the scouts can get over his height issue. OR he could be drafted to be a Hester-type player. Hightower is a true freshman LB in a senior's body. The media guide has him at 6'4" 250 lbs, which is crazy for an agile LB! I don't think he'll have his true "coming out party" until late next year. But there's no doubt the potential is there.
  11. Bobby Greenwood won't be drafted. He's a hardworker, but has never really made an impact until last week against Kentucky (SEC D-Lineman of the week). The freshman back, Mark Ingram, is really good. He reminds me of a Maurice Jones-Drew, while others say he resembles our good friend, Emmitt Smith. I could list about 10 more players who will be NFL ready in the draft a few years from now (specifically Soph. LB Rolando McClain - NFL Scout on McClain), because of the recruiting class that was brought in last year. But rather than being a "homer", here's the best for this year: Jr. Andre Smith - T Sr. Antoine Caldwell - C/G Jr. Terrance Cody - NT Sr. Rashad Johnson - S
  12. I'm no Astrobot, but I'm a huge Bama fan and have followed Cody's recruitment from juco. From all that is being said, I really don't expect him to declare this year. I think he's really enjoying the mystique that he has on campus. He's seriously on the verge of being a legend, because of his size. But right now, I'd say he's a 1st rounder for any team that is looking for a Ted Washington-like player...namely running a 3-4. He's big, agile, and will always be double-teamed. But with another year under the demands of Saban's program, he really has the potential to be a top 10 pick. His main purpose is to give the LB's chances to make plays, and he does a great job at it.
  13. THANK YOU! With a mac, I'd have to download crap to get some of these streams....but this justintv works.
  14. which one is working for you? justintv/xssports isnt working for me
  15. Awesome quotes in there...I'm gonna use those with my football team. Hope Hamden sticks around and does his part!
  16. My wife and I got a pug puppy about 1 year ago to the day and love it. I'm in the same situation, in that I like bigger dogs, but we're in an apt. They're really good dogs that are VERY loyal to you. But when I say "loyal", I'm telling you to be sure to teach it to sleep in a crate. Otherwise you and your girl won't get much alone time.
  17. EXACTLY!!!! This is the one thing that makes me hate Miami. Communicating with some people is close to impossible!
  18. Just to add to the convo....Mark Ingram's son, Mark Ingram is a true freshman at the University of Alabama and is making his presence known. He's 7th in rushing yards in the SEC with 210 yards on 37 carries (5.7 ypc). I'm not saying he's Knowshon Moreno, but you'll know his name in the next few years.
  19. "Don't piss off the Boys from Alabama You know they won't let it slide They might find your body in the Tennessee River or they might not find you at all There'll be no place to run and hide and your family ain't safe at all Don't piss off the Boys from Alabama We're keeping an eye on you" - Drive By Truckers "Boys From Alabama" "Through eighty-six years of perpetual motion If he likes you hell smile and hell say Jimmy, some of its magic, some of its tragic But I had a good life all the way" - Jimmy Buffett "He Went to Paris"
  20. Matt Jones Arrested What a disappointment, in career and life choices!
  21. That's right! Great work, Astrobot...
  22. Without googling his name, does anybody remember what year he played for the Bills and what his position was??? The only reason I came across him is because his son, Mike Marrow, is being recruited as a FB/H-Back. He runs a 4.8 second 40-yard dash, bench presses 390 pounds, and squats 515 pounds. He is big, strong, and physical and he plays both RB and LB in HS. He is being pursued by Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Nebraska among others.
