  1. You think they are counting on getting a starting running back in the 3rd? I have more faith in the organization than that. Now I'm sure you are gonna post some starting back from the 3rd. What do you think the odds are that a team is gonna find a starter in the 3rd, 1 in 30 maybe ?
  2. Yeah, I don't know how I forgot them. It really is annoying never hearing about the Bills in the national media. I understand when they suck, but the Giants weren't any better, or the Dolphins, or the Cowboys.....
  3. Wow, a whole new perspective that hasn't been bickered about million times on this board.
  4. Here here! Yes , why not show an option like this Lynch-A thomas Siler-Crowell-Spikes McGee-Youboty Basically, you can get a linebacker in the 2nd (not necessarily Siler). It is an option. I really don't see why a 2nd rd running back is any less of a risk than a 2nd rd linebacker. Plus there are more starting linebackers than running backs.
  5. I'm telling you, these guys don't know as much about the Bills as a die hard local fan does. Obviously many locals have a hard time being objective, but we watch ALL the games (at least the ones we can get our hands on). These guys see a few games, but they rely on hearsay and other uninformed writers, thus you just kind of get retreaded opinions. After Marv was hired it was just the same. They don't really know what is happening here. The market influences things too. Every year the Giants and the Cowboys are on the cusp of the Super Bowl. And then when they turn out to be average, it's said that they "underachieved". I know I didn't think either of those teams was gonna compete for the Super Bowl last season, did you?
  6. The Niagara Gazette is laaaaaame. This is some 12 year old kid's email that they actually printed. Being part of the community, showing they are family oriented, etc,..........bleeeech!
  7. You take the best guy available, with some consideration given to need. Every team needs some elite guys on both sides of the ball. Playmakers. That is what the first round is all about. You take the guy that you feel will have the biggest impact.
  8. I don't think they were flat, I just think they suck. Bad receivers, bad line, bad running back, ultra-conservative play calling, and just plain no fun. They are the exact type of team that I DON'T want the rest of the league to emulate.
  9. Um... I see him talked about pretty highly and um..... I'm not necessarily talking about him as JUST a receiver and um...... I have seen so many lame EXPERT opinions that my faith in most is nil and um..... alot of great players have been taken outside the top 10 and um...... Mel Kiper is a weenie and um...... he might be the 5th best receiver, but he sure looks like the #1 big play guy in modern college history, if he isn't I want a name of someone better ( I don't mean that sarcastically, because it would be a joy to watch the plays, I really can't think of anyone). It's funny you say "good as he appears", cause he sure does "appear" to be good, doesn't he? I know there is more to the game, but he looks pretty special to me.
  10. I don't think anyone expects it will happen, but as good as Evans (or do you mean Roscoe?) is, he doesn't do THAT. NO ONE has done that.
  11. I know my posts about this are getting out of hand. But I don't care. Just watch 'em 23 Plays 15 touchdowns from 50 to 100 yards (most about 80) 5 are Red Zone TD's 3 are amazing plays where he actually gets tackled I just want to hear about another player in the modern history of the sport that has done things like that. Is there one I don't know about?
  12. Johnson might be the best ever I don't think there is anyone that thinks that Ginn is a better receiver than Johnson. But I have never seen more BIG plays by anyone. Ginn is definitely better after the catch. I still don't know what to make of him. I had heard his name, saw a few highlights etc,. then I just happened upon his highlight reel and can only say that I have never seen so many big plays, so many long runs that no one even touched a guy as he ran back and forth across the field etc. I felt compelled to mention him on the board and have people check him out. Johnson has all makings of a great receiver, deep ball, possession, red zone, jump ball, he can do it all, outrageous hands. It's easy to point to him. Ginn is obviously more of a wildcard, that's why Johnson is seen as the best receiver. If I had to choose between the two, I would take Johnson, but I'm not certain I wouldn't end up regretting it. Those kinds of plays just can't be ignored. I suggest you watch both players highlights on Youtube. I don't expect the Bills to pick him, but I don't want him in the division, or even the AFC.
  13. I was so glad when the Ravens lost in the playoffs. They are the dullest team in the NFL. They are the NJ Devils of the NFL (the Devils just about killed off the NHL with their "Trap" style). Fock them.
  14. Those aren't all of Ginn's touchdowns, just the spectacular ones. If Ginn isn't a "legit" threat I don't know what a threat is. The Peterson highlights are nice. I have seen other running back highlights through the years that were similar, an excellent back, but the sheer number of big plays by Ginn are unsurpassed. About 7 minutes worth of running and he gets tackled maybe 5 times. I'm not posting to bicker, I know the Bills needs. But you can't knock Ginn's explosiveness. Peterson isn't even close. Ginn ran a couple miles worth of football field without being touched.
  15. Yeah whatever......did you watch the reel? Just enjoy it!
  16. I found an updated reel on the sidebar with an added 1:30 of Red Zone catches (and no annoying music). (Of course, I don't know how to make a link.) the poster is "jimmyjoefro". I don't post this to argue (those are my other posts ), I just want people to see these plays. He is incredible
  17. This opinion was well researched. As I said look at the Super Bowl winners and their running backs, almost all first rounders. not a coincidence. Sure there are lots of excellents back available later, teams are successful with those guys, but not many have won Super Bowls. I don't know why but IT'S A FACT! I agree they have short careers, that's why you have to time things just right. Right now the BIlls need the third piece of an offense's playmakers. JP and Evans are just coming into their own, it's time to get an elite back. I am not saying there is one available in this draft, but if there is, now is the time. They are up near the top of the draft, and (hopefully) next year they will be near the bottom.
  18. My favorite moment on the highlight reel is at 4:32, he has almost stopped, with 4 defenders in front of him and the rest bearing down on him from behind at full speed, and Ginn just explodes from 0 to 60 and leaves everyone behind. I don't know what to make of him, but I have watched alot of football in my 39 years, and I have never seen so many huge plays from one guy. they just keep coming.
  19. I have also seen him list 6.0 and 6.1 .... lies all lies.
  20. i have never seen any footage of Roscoe doing anything like that (I like Roscoe). Play after play, untouched.
  21. I still think that the Bills wanted to get rid of Willis more than Willis wanted to leave. I think Willis knew he hadn't played that well and was worried because he knew that this contract would be the most important in his career.
  22. I don't know. I just know he gets the ball, runs past everybody on the field on his way to the endzone. As far as in traffic, he looked to me like a deer crossing a 7-lane freeway at rush hour (and making it across). He has amazing field vision and running instincts ("Untouchable"), and that is transferable to the pros. I have no idea how good of a pro he will be, or how he would best be used, but if you can get the ball into his hands he seems almost magical. I can't answer your question, and I think it is a good one. We'll probably have to watch some other team figure it out.
  23. Just a gamebreaker. Could have Deion Sanders type impact on games. (Please don't hate on Deion right now, I know his faults, but sometimes he could just break a game wide open) I think he would have alot more catches if he didn't score on the returns so often. Really.
  24. Thanks for posting that. I can't claim my reaction is rational, but what I saw wasn't rational either. I mean UNTOUCHED! I don't get to see the dropped passes etc, but whoa! It's fun just to appreciate these plays strung together. These highlights are as good as Reggie Bush. I mean Troy Smith owes him in a BIG way for the Heisman. He is operating in a different time/speed dimension than the other guys on the field, it's focking cosmic, just like the world is slower for Korean ping-pong players.
