BTW, Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch has been arrested and charged with felony possession of a concealed firearm, according to a press release from the Culver City Police Department. The announcement confirms that it was Lynch who was involved in this incident last Wednesday night. According to a police announcement e-mailed to Pro Football Talk, Culver City police officers were patrolling the Fox Hills area of Culver City when they came into contact with three adult males in a 2006 Mercedes Benz. After speaking with the occupants, they determined that one of the men in the car was Lynch, the Bills starting running back. A field investigation led to the “discovery of a loaded firearm.” According to the report: “The officers determined the gun belonged to Lynch and he was arrested for possesion of a concealed firearm.” Lynch was tranported to the booking center and was later released on $35,000 bond. Police officials said that the case will be submitted to the District Attorney’s office for filing consideration. As Mike Florio wrote when he first reported about the arrest in two posts earlier today, Lynch could possibly face sanctions under the NFL’s personal conduct policy depending on his legal status and how NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell views this incident. This sounds like a stop for DWB (Driving While Black). What does "came into contact" mean? Three black guys in a Mercedes? It also sounds like they asked if they could search the car and found the weapon. I'd like to know what probable cause allowed them to do that?

The evidence on the police report was overwhelming. The only thing was a missing 2 on the birth date. Man ESPN et. al. really dropped the ball on this one. Internet posters managed to scoop them. Yeah, we need guys who won't see the field because of suspensions. I believe football character is defined as as guy who is self motivated and never takes a down off.

[closed]Can you really blame Lynch for having a gun?

There was a good article in ESPN the magazine on athletes hiring body guards. In Ben Roethlisberger's first year he hired some body guards and his teammates thought he was a head case. Now they realize how smart it is. -
The high pitch sound is probably the belt sliding. Take it to a service guy to have it tightened. my mechanic used to take a 2 x 4 and put it on a professional's jack and push part of the pump up so the belt would loosen and he'd tighten it in that position and then lower it and it was tighter than Beerball holds a penny. I wouldn't suggest you try that. He was doing that to my car 25 years ago. I doubt it's possible anymore.

I thought in Texas that gun permits were stapled to birth certificates.

I was just about to start a thread about this too. Here's the SI article. What a douchebag. Maybe he wasn't wearing pants to wipe his hands on. -
BTW, Labonte came in second the year Sr. won the Daytona 500. I still remember the race Sr. died at. He was pushing Waltrip to the win. His death was a catalyst to the whole safety revolution that's taken place since then. It doesn't seem he died in vain.

That's great he can use all the fans he can get. He seems to be very unpopular. I've been a Bobby Labonte fan since 1998 when I first started getting into NASCAR. He's the only guy/team I've followed that's ever won it all. It's a sad day today. My friend who died about a month ago was a big Jr. fan and he'd be cooling the beers, getting the snacks and sitting down with his kids to watch the race.

Get a second opinion. PSF isn't something to with. That leak is going to get progressively worse and one day your steering will become extremely hard to control. I'd get a second opinion and get it fixed.
