  1. Here's an article from last Thursday that explains the UDFA signings really well. This should answer your questions and it answered mine too. It even has a quote from Tom Modrak and from our old buddy Donahoe!! "It's really quick," explained Tom Donahoe, former Steelers personnel boss and Buffalo Bills president. "Usually what teams do, about halfway through the seventh round they'll start calling players they were interested in and say something to the effect, 'We're thinking about taking you with our seventh-round pick but if don't we'd like to sign you as a free agent.' "What you stress to kids is there's limited space available, and if you get someone interested in you, you need to close the deal quickly. Usually with the numbers, once teams fill numbers at a position, they move on."
  2. They didn't draft one single DT. What the hell is that all about!!!
  3. Your opinion of meddling is based on what?
  4. Well, Kevin has a very tall order if he wants to beat Keith. I don't know if he can live up to it.
  5. Dockery, Schobel, Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, Marcus Stroud, Lee Evans, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and others wouldn't call Ralph cheap. Get a clue. If you like the Raiders history so much and feel cheated by the Bills then make yourself happy and become a Raiders fan or STFU. JMO
  6. That's a good point but IMO PS players should be UFA's. JMO
  7. The first pick I hate. This guy has a history of injuries. The guy pulled a hamstring while running the 40 at the combine for cryin out loud! They already drafted a ST guy. I'll be surprised if he replaces Wendling. IMO, this is a totally wasted pick. I understand the best available player thing but at some point need should take a slight edge over best available. I also find it hard to believe that this was the best dude left on the draft board.
  8. If you check your history you'll see that Ralph is not cheap. That is one of the biggest misconceptions on this board. I also wouldn't change the Bills history for anyones. If you like the Raiders history become a Raiders fan. 'Nuff said.
  9. At least we can look forward to Maybin and Schobel knocking Brady on his azz a few times in the game! I thought it was Lonnie ing Johnson.
  10. Defensive Turnovers will improve too!
  11. Youboty is great, when healthy. The others that are highlighted I think you're definitely wrong about. If you pissed him off my sisters cat would be better than Fowler. JMO
  12. IIRC, when Heyward-Bey's name was called by the Raiders Crabtree got a huge smile on his face. The announcers said we could interpret that any way we wanted. PUNCH!! PUNCH!!
  13. I'll bet dollars to donuts that his effhead parents come out of the woodwork now that he's an NFL player. If they come to TC and I'm there I will personally beat the ever living out of them!!!
  14. The first two are contradictory and the third is just stupid. He's 6'2" 234!!! He's almost exactly the same as DiGiorgio and isn't full sized yet.
  15. Could be a LB but all I've seen about him is a safety. I think the Bills will try to convert him to LB and his coverage skills should be above average after playing safety. However, IMO, he was drafted for his ST ability and will be developed for a LB job while he contributes on ST's.
  16. Thanks! On paper it's pretty damn good. Maybin - Best pass rusher in the draft. Wood - Second best center in the draft an incredibly nasty field player. Byrd - Ballhawk that gets a lot of interceptions and returns punts and should be a great FS. Levitre - Should be a great guard for a long time to come. Another nasty player. Nelson - According to Lindy's Pro Football Draft magazine he has the best hands of all the TE's in the draft. Mixed reviews about his blocking abilities but at least seems adequate and if he can bulk up should be a very good blocker. Why wasn't the Hamdan comment serious? It definitely is a value draft that covers some big needs. Now these dudes have to prove it on the field. When I was working in the summers in college I would come home from work about 12 am. I'd eat an entire pint of Ben and Jerry's while watching Letterman and I never gained a pound. Just like you, I now gain weight if I think about Ben and Jerry's
  17. Running fast is a high premium for Al. Ability to catch? Not so much.
  18. The guy is 35. Obviously a one year stop gap. If they do this then they don't really feel Bell is ready yet. At 35 he should be cheap to get. Maybe Kelsay for him even up.
  19. PUNCH!!! PUNCH!!
  20. Dobler won't miss a Bills game now until this kid retires!!
  21. I think we should wait until we see if they are a good line or a bad line before naming them. If they're good how about; The Buffalo Herd! If they're bad how about: The Buffalo Turds!
  22. PUNCH!! Linky to McShay's comments
  23. Butler played guard last year and I have a hard time with saying he's the best Bills lineman and that he's capable of being a solid LT. JMO
  24. The guy can't seem to stay healthy he's probably looking at a suspension and one more mistake may be a full year suspension. I'm wondering if these factors led to them removing the franchise tag on him. Anyhoo, for what he wants, and since he's treading on thin ice with the league, I hope Buffalo passes. JMO
