  1. Great, but the reason I thought they should pass on him is his extensive injury history. (missed three games as an high school senior due to a sprained ankle, as a true freshman he missed five games due to a shoulder separation, had offseason surgery on the shoulder, had a strained hamstring for spring practice in '07 and missed most of spring practice, had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee after the practices ended, in season opener of '07 he sprained his left ankle and missed the next two games, he re-sprained the leg during the Washington game and missed three more games, had arthroscopic surgery on his ankle prior to the 2008 spring practices and he broke a bone in his hand against Oregon State in '08) Six games into his first NFL season he hasn't had a significant injury but it's way too early to tell about something like that. Right now he has a foot injury that he's playing through but he's listed as questionable for Sunday's game. I don't like to call players busts based on injuries, unless they have an extensive injury history going into the draft. Cushing is in no way a bust right now, but I'll reserve judgment for a couple of years. I do. If the kid is a stud pro-bowler at the end of his third season or hopefully the end of his second then I'll be happy they waited, especially if he's a Bill for the next eight years. Kelsay and Schobel are playing well enough the Bills don't have to crowbar him into the lineup. After playing sparingly in six games he still has three sacks. If that trend continues he'll finish with eight sacks on the season. That's not bad for a rookie backup, IMO. Ask me at the end of next year if I think he's a bust.
  2. This is really strange. As long as someone is their house I don't see what the problem is. Why are you looking in someone's house anyway? Because she's the wife of a cop this is probably being taken to unreasonable limits.
  3. http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/10/23...ref=mpstoryview It is unclear what caused the bear to attack Potapov, 25, nearly severing one of his legs while dragging him across the ice by his neck. Medical personnel were unable to save Potapov, who died at the scene. Hmmmm, maybe it was putting him on skates and expecting him to like it.
  4. Mom's affidavit admits the whole thing was a hoax. http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/news/dpg_balloo...231256331198847 Mayumi Heene told sheriff's deputies that she and her husband Richard "knew all along that Falcon was hiding in the residence" in Fort Collins, according to an affidavit used to get a search warrant for the home. She allegedly told investigators the incident was a hoax meant to make them more marketable to the media. "Mayumi described that she and Richard Heene devised this hoax approximately two weeks earlier.... She and Richard had instructed their three children to lie to authorities as well as the media regarding this hoax," the affidavit said.
  5. Movies based on books, IMO, are original ideas because the author had an original idea.
  6. Then why are you complaining?
  7. It's an option of the CBA. Read the article. They have to inform the union at least 60 days before they decide to cancel it though. There is still a CBA just not a cap for 2010. IIRC, the cap comes back in 2011.
  8. MST3K was stopped by the producers IIRC. Don't forget Family Guy getting canceled and then coming back because Fox didn't realize how great it was. They just gave Seth McFarlane $100 million so I guess he's doing something right.
  9. Works for me. If you're gonna drink that much beer wouldn't a motorized toilet be a better idea? Just askin.
  10. Well done. Jackass!!
  11. I'm sorry to hear that. Now back to you Jackass! This is Damj when he found out he couldn't win; Well, at least it's the second reason. Thanks?! You love being under dev? I can't figure out which smiley to use. They all have their mouth's open. I guess I'll go with a LOL.
  12. I agree. Remaking remakes is getting very old, IMO. Believe me, there are enough original ideas out there to make but studios want the tried and true, until somebody has the balls to make a fresh idea that does well and then everyone tries to copy it. Remember "Fish Police"? It wasn't the cartooning people like about "The Simpson's" it's the writing. Trying to make a show off the Geico cavemen was a big stretch. If it was written well people would've watched it, not because it was the Geico cavemen. If a network tried to make a Seinfeld ripoff it would suck. The writing and acting are what made that show. Jason Alexander, Julia Louis Dreyfuss and Michael Richards were born to play those characters, IMO. Delving back to Dallas is no surprise since "Melrose Place" or one of those effing shows was remade. I don't even know if that's still on. I'm awaiting the Happy Days, Three's Company, Laverne and Shirley and all of the other 70's show remakes.
  13. I definitely agree with you there, but it doesn't seem to be the case in this situation, IMO. Supposedly there is more evidence than just their confessions. In fact it seems like the weight of the evidence is what coerced the confessions.
  14. They forgot to mention the expense of gym memberships for attendants to be able to lift those fat assess.
  15. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writ....html?eref=sihp A league spokesman confirmed to SI.com this week that the rookie salary pool -- which operates as a salary cap for first-year players within the NFL's overall salary cap -- can be dropped at the league's option in an uncapped year. One potential ramification is that NFL rookies in 2010 might not have their potential contract value determined so tightly by their particular draft spot -- the so-called slotting system -- as has been the case with every other draft class under the current CBA. _________________________________ "If there's no rookie pool ... it'll be more like baseball in that way, where teams may really like a player, but if they can't sign him, what good is he? Signability will be a big buzzword," the veteran agent said. "Some teams will look at the Crabtree holdout as the example and say, 'Why do we need that [crap]? Let them go play in the UFL.' We're going to see teams say, 'Let's go after the guys we know we can sign.' They'll go after some really solid, signable players in the second and third rounds, and then the smarter teams and smarter front offices will save some money to spend on some proven veterans out there on the market next year.'' IMO, the idea that the NFL might waive the rookie cap is absurd. Trying to sign rookies from the first three rounds would be a nightmare. It would be funny as hell though to see all of Eugene Parkers' players slipping way below their normal rounds. It is curious to me that the NFL has waited or is still waiting to get the CBA talks started. It seems like they believe that an uncapped year works far more in their favor than the union's. I'm trying to figure out how that could be. IMO, FA's will be expecting more money and most of it up front because teams won't have to amortize bonus'. This plays into the hands of big market teams, unfortunately. The one positive, for the league, I can think of is that teams will use the uncapped year to make huge contract dumps. Players with huge contracts that aren't living up to them could be cut without any salary cap penalties. Those guys will be hard pressed to get that money back. Since there would be no consequences as far as the salary cap goes a lot more trades may happen, I'm not sure that counts as a positive for the league though. I think I'm right about that stuff but I may be missing some minutia.
  16. When I worked at Strong there was a story in the operating room about a guy who weighed over 500lbs. coming in for a heart operation. This happened, supposedly, several years before I was there. Anyhoo, if anyone has seen an operating table they are thin. Well this guy was put on the table and during the operation he fell off the table and onto the floor. It took several people to get the fat load back up on the table. He died but they say not from that. I can believe it. Hospitals are burdened with a lot of extra costs in dealing with these people. A lot of people know my stance on healthcare but this goes beyond the pale, IMO. This is something "caused" by that person and not some sort of bad luck. Dom Irrera has said his cousin claims that he's not fat he's just big boned. "Yeah, that's a mighty big bone ya got in your ass there."

  18. Why are you still here? Frickin Jackass!
  19. All of this is being written down in his notebook and he's prioritizing his revenge. Have you listened to the FWM from the 60's when they were a blues band? STFU. Like anyone shives a git about you. ing Jackass!
  20. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091022/ap_on_..._woman_tortured Potts said Williams has received several anonymous phone calls from people threatening her life. ____________________________________________ In a January interview with The Call & Post, a black newspaper in Cleveland, Williams acknowledged she had been mistreated but said her mother made her embellish the story for exposure and financial gain. Williams told the newspaper that she was afraid of her mother, who knew some of the defendants. Williams' mother, Carmen Williams, died in June. Potts said he did not know what role the mother might have had in fabricating the case. Curiouser and curiouser.
  21. If I were you I'd keep a watch out. Gangsta Kitty has operatives all over the country. One minute your lounging on the back porch and the next your nuts are getting clawed by a rabid cat. Just be careful,
  22. Referee Marc Curles’ crew called a personal foul on Arkansas defensive lineman Malcolm Sheppard in the fourth quarter as the Gators were rallying for a 23-20 victory. The league said there was no video evidence to support the call. The same group of officials called the LSU-Georgia game earlier this month, which included a late unsportsmanlike conduct penalty the league said shouldn’t have been called. Marc Curles told the associated press that he believes there was a penalty and has no regrets in calling it. "Look after the season when I'm sitting on my yacht or driving around in my Bentley this will all have been forgotten. My friends have been very supportive and can't wait to see me back officiating again."
  23. Having that crap play out publicly sucks. I guess all divorce cases are public but they aren't publicized coast to coast in the vast majority of cases. I did like this; Just last month she purchased a $12,000 necklace at the store. But she admitted she couldn't recall what it looked like. "I think it has some sort of stone," she testified.
