  1. Not really. We have 2 experienced NFL quarterbacks . Let them get the job done. Then in 2014 use our R1 pick to get the QB you want to run the system.
  2. If we draft Austin at #8 to play the slot this puts Stevie back on the outside. We still need to draft another outside WR or play TJ Graham or Easley. Still many holes to fill at LB, G, S, TE, CB. I'm not convinced we can spare a pick to use on a QB. Lemon would be good in R6. I suspect the Bills will be looking at the waiver wire again !
  3. Austin at #8 works for me. He can score points from anywhere on the field. Speed and good hands wins over size. Let Hackett find a way to use him. Surely we can find a decent red zone target (like Chandler) in a later round or free agency.
  4. In looking at the Nassib game tape against Missouri you have to say that Lemon looked awesome. 12 catches for over 200 yards against an SEC defence. And getting it done when it matters in the last few minutes of the game. Statistically I would say its a far higher than a 3.125% chance due to locality of college and our coaching staff. But I'm still not totally convinced on Nassib yet as our R2 pick.
  5. "Don't confuse effort with results". I find this a strange slogan to have in the Practice facility. What does it mean? Does it mean don't practice with too much effort today boys because the only thing that matters is the result on Sunday. If you practice hard with effort every day then your talent should bring its own rewards on Sunday assuming the Coaches can chip in with some decent play calling, team selection and communication.
  6. On a positive note Kolb did win as starting QB in Gillette last year. Thats impressive even though NE botched a kick to win at the end. I agree no need to spend a R1 pick on a QB this year. I'd gamble on WR Patterson who looks a bit like Larry Fitzgerald. Whether he can catch like him is another matter. Still a good chance for Johnny Football in R1 next year.
  7. No 2 WR must be a severe need. Perhaps our biggest need right now. Sorry TJ you're just not ready. No problem with Urbrik. That's a minimal need.
  8. Potentially a mid round project. Not a starter. Nice to see game tape against a decent team. However a bit like Fitz. Some good TD throws but shame about the ending. We need a QB to get it done at the end of a game. Didn't see many QB runs.
  9. Just reviewed Matt Barkley game tape against Syracuse. Looked ugly. Looked like Fitz on a bad day. A very bad day. No thanks. Not even with a third round pick. Matt Barkley is not our saviour.
  10. Maybe the only QB worth a 1st. Nice highlight reel produced by some Kansas City fan. Sorry not convinced with Nassib. But even then Geno is not a lock to beat out Fitz so is it worth a 1st pick? We need our 1st pick to be producing on day 1 of the season so I think we need to look elsewhere.
  11. His highlight reel from 2012 looks very very impressive. He will not last to our 2nd round pick. I would love to see him in a Bills uniform but I don't see him picked with our No 8 selection.
  12. You can have the best line in the NFL but you really need an accurate QB to stand behind the line who can throw the ball more than 15 yards with accuracy and a few guys with hands to catch it. Our line seems good enough right now. We have more pressing needs.
  13. Hey Doug. Don't forget the Double Reverse Flea Flicker for your Playbook. Do we have enough plays yet?
  14. PP - Don't be fooled by a 24 pt win where our QB throws for only 215 yds and your RB's combine for only 107 yds. We have yet to see a dominant Offensive performance. The Bills need to improve and they could be on the right track. The Q4 Offensive performance against the Raiders should not cover up the poor 45 minutes that went before. Like you I am hoping that the Bills can run up some points today. But if the game is close because we are struggling to score points there is always the chance that you can end up on the losing side. You can't always win the close ones.
  15. As the Dolphins hammered the Patriots last week the NFL proves that anything can happen. A defeat to the Rams would be a huge disappointment but the Bills have yet to prove they can dish out big margin of victory wins as the top teams should do. So CotW. If this your last day I hope you had a good life.
  16. Hopefully the Jags have some 5' 10" DBs that Hardy can punish. Agree that Hardy will be crucial to the Team if we are to improve Red Zone from 2007. Difficult call today in leaving other positions weak in depth or weakening special teams or asking starters to do special teams work in that Florida heat.
  17. So who do we think does not make the team today to make way for McCargo & Peters ? Tough to leave out the special teams contributors ? unless you are prepared to play more starters on S/T. Field position is key to victory. This is a tough call. Who dressed last week that did not make a real contribution ?? Perhaps Hardy &/or Whittle &/or Xavier to rest this week ??
  18. Suggest you try out the test HD stream first to see what it looks like on your laptop before you sign up and part with your money ! Shame you can't connect your laptop to the TV screen at the hotel.
  19. I live just outside of London UK. Used HD Gamepass last week for the first time, although watched several games on standard Gamepass last year. HD has great picture quality albeit I had my PC hooked up to a 24" widescreen TV. Only 1 problem in that the last 5 minutes was blacked out (usually that would be a major problem for a Bills game but last week we were just killing the clock). Hopefully just a week 1 glitch. Good luck. I would recommend HD. Otherwise you can normally find a radio station with live coverage via the internet.
