  1. Which is why the defense will ask, "Are you a football fan?" and if you say yes, you won't be a juror on this case. Non-football fans will have no idea about the suspension.
  2. Good, maybe this will help clean up some of their acts. Here's the ESPN report: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2832015
  3. People aren't complaining about your opinion, they're complaining about you telling them that they're stupid for doing what they're doing (ie: "Turn off your HDTV and enjoy life!"). CW
  4. I've been on plenty of nice vacations. Hawaii, Alaska, Vancouver, San Diego, London, Buffalo ( ). But you can't live like that every day and I don't see a problem with people wanting to see some of that stuff on a TV screen. It could very well inspire some people to go on trips to see the stuff in person! Along similar lines, there's a cool show on the Travel channel called "1000 places to see before you die." Pretty cool show (not in HD though ).
  5. $900 after rebate. Next?
  6. Reports are that Sony's not selling the $500 PS3 anymore... And BD doesn't always equal better AQ. Didn't realize that Sony brainwashed you, Rico
  7. $70 (or free) HD nature show vs $3000 vacation (not to mention only 3 weeks of vacation time a year... )
  8. Pretty sure I won't see any of those in Minnesota...
  9. Not to hijack the thread, but did you see that Best Buy has the new A2 for $400, including 4 free movies from Best Buy and 5 free movies from Toshiba? Pretty kickin' deal. And you must've paid way too much for your A1 -- I got mine for $400 last year. I'm frugal CW
  10. I suppose, if you'd prefer paying 2-3x as much for a player to watch it on
  11. Looks like you'll get most of round 1 on Versus on DirecTV. It may even be in HD (on channel 95) if we're lucky. CW
  12. Is it really worth it? It's coming out on HD DVD in a couple of a weeks and has been selling pretty well. I never heard of it before. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...onyswebsit02-20 CW
  13. Try playing around a little: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.stadiumwall.com Pick some dates, click on "recipes" at the top of the page and see if you can find it.
  14. Not sure why SDS isn't putting the cookbook back (sans the scripts to add new recipes...). Here's an archive of it: http://web.archive.org/web/20060113020451/...e.com/cookbook/ The artichoke dip is awesome, as are the crab-filled wontons.
  15. They didn't have the game on at the bar? Chicago is beating Detroit right now (2-0 in the 2nd). If Chicago holds on, Buffalo will stay 1 point ahead in the race for the best record in the league. I think it's more important than people may realize, since Detroit has only lost 4 games at home (in regulation) all season! Go Sabres!
  16. Are we laughing at the newscaster, or the guy who made the chart? My guess is that the chart maker played the April Fool's joke on the newscaster. When have you ever seen a chart that puts the #1 vote getter last like that? I think it was a ploy to make the guy look like an idiot. It worked.
  17. Yes, I would like fries with that, thanks for asking. (sorry, my wife has a degree in psych and found it pretty much worthless from a career point of view. ).
  18. If I recall correclty, it was around $200 at the time.
  19. I never did - I thought it was dumb at the time, and still do
  20. I gotta say, I don't see the purpose of a class ring...
  21. http://www.kstp.com/article/stories/S42596.shtml?cat=1 When they do it, it's a joke and a letter of apology is sent. When the roles are reversed, the passanger gets delayed and/or arrested. Nice.
  22. Last week, I read on CNN.com that both the GPS and Iranians gave the same location for the ship -- which turned out to be in Iraqi waters. Iran then changed their story the next day, giving a location in Iranian waters. Nice.
  23. My wife and I were on our honeymoon in London literally a month after 9/11, so everyone was *VERY* helpful and *VERY* friendly to us and it might've been because of that. For example, we were trying to find the Apollo Theater (there's two theaters with similar names and we went to the wrong one...) so were looking at a bus schedule, when a woman came up to us, asked if we needed help, and when we told her where we were going, she said that she was taking the bus right past that so to just get on with her and she'd tell us when to get off. Things like that happened throughout our entire trip, so it was pretty cool.
  24. My wife's from all over eastern Wisconsin, but she doesn't like Milwaukee either. Favorite Italian place would be my grandmother's house. Second favorite would be Mama Maria's in North Hudson, WI. Excellent food, great price for anyone in the Twin Cities area Regardless though, the food at that festival in Milwaukee sucks: It was on-par with Olive Garden. Favorite city (for what it's worth) would be London, followed by Vancouver. However, I haven't actually been to too many cities in the US (San Diego, Twin Cities, eastern Wisconsin, and WNY would be about it; oh, and various cities in Hawaii and Alaska). Drinking isn't on my list of fun things to do, so maybe that's why I'm not a fan of Milwaukee, since most of the posts in the thread are talking about beer Cw
  25. It was ok. We went a couple of years ago. The food sucks - I think most of it was direct out of a box from your frozen food section. There was an Italian Circus there that was excellent, you get a great view of the lake, and some of the musical entertainment was fun as well. There's a place in Sheboygan, WI (a couple hours from Milwaukee) called Legend Larry's that's supposed to have AWESOME Wings (they win contests in Buffalo). I haven't eaten there, but will in the near future.
