  1. It's amazing how inept the organization has been over the last 10 years in the 1st 3 rounds of the draft .Hell they trade up to get JP Losman after drafting Lee Evans in the 1st Round when they simply could've traded up to get Big Ben in 2004. The team would've been better off just trading away their 1st three picks the last 6-7 years and stocking up on mid round flyers. 15 players have went to the Pro bowl from the 1st round of that 2004 Draft. Bills missed with both picks in 1st round imagine that. Bills always seem to reach in the 1st 3 rounds for their needs when simply upgrading an avg player to an above avg player helps the team just as well. If you don't have the player graded out that high then simply trade the damn pick if you can... Since 2004 the Bills best 1st round pick has probably been Marshawn Lynch in 2007 (wanted Willis but didn't fall). 2006 Whitner over Ngata, 2008 McKelvin over Roger-Cromartie, 2009. Maybin- Orapko/Cushing. 2011 (spiller) and 2012 (dareus) have been much better drafts..
  2. Chip Kelly would be a fool to leave NIKE UNIVERSITY...right now. He gets what he wants when he wants it. He's driven and with that alone I can't see him going anywhere until he produces the National Championship for Phil Knight & Oregon and even then I still can't see him leaving.
  3. LB is still a core problem with this unit...There is nothing they do well..
  4. .... This wasn't the first time and it won't be the last time we broach this subject... He is what he is.. He may be a little bit better than a journey man but he WILL never be that guy. He is simply not accurate enough down field (touch passes specifically), arm strength is average to below average and he doesn't have the moxey of a winner in my opinion. Even with the Defense blowing that last drive.. The guy got the ball back with over a minute to play AT HOME. FG WINS-- can be the hero in the end makeup for the the bonehead pick. Look if Fitz wants to be next level and Nix is surely paying him like he's next level. He needs to beat Tennessee especially against them having one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Yes he threw the Pick, yes the defense buckled but HE had the chance to be the hero and failed. He has to learn to WIN a game like that. Bottomline.... We see it happen in the NFL week in and Week out.. Now the Defense has sucked from time to time but they have had some decent games thus far.. Team should be 4-3 for sure.. Defense laid down in 2nd half against Pats and Niners and were on field pretty much entire 2nd halves of those games. I don't want to give this Unit a pass for sure but I've seen encouraging signs. They still have a very long way to go..but its hard to watch other teams defenses perform with less talent on their front lines so it's hard not to blame Wannstandt.. Game 1- Fitz buried the Bills Defense against the Jets. Doomed from beginning Game 2- Good- Effort Win Chiefs Game 3- Good- Effort Win Browns Game 4- Defense played a hell of a game in the first half against the Patriots. Fitz threw two picks in first half led to 0 points after Defense gave up TD, Forced 2 fumbles. one led to TD then the spiller fumble at halftime was a killer. Defense was on field the entire 2nd half. after going up 21- 7 yeh could've been 28-7. Didn't matter. Defense was on field the entire 3rd quarter and beginning of 4th quarter. Game 5- Defense did fine 1st half until the Chandler fumble with 29 seconds left turns half from 10-3 to 17-3...Against SF I'm sure they figured another TD and they're were toast anyways.Offense WAS not gonna Score 24 pts or more on SF. Game 6- Good effort Win Cards Game 7- Bad effort- vs a team that has been struggling. Too many big plays but were in it at end. Defense played better in 2nd half. Fitz made a mistake. Defense buckled. Fitz gets ball back with 1.03 left needing around 40 yards to give Lindell a shot to Win game. Gets 8 yards against one of the worst defenses in NFL, throws ball out of bounds on 4th down.
  5. I do....because both of his turnovers led to short field touchdowns. The defense would've pitched a shut-out in 2nd half if it wasn't for those 2 turnovers probably. They definitely played better. They go in at half-time with momentum and get ball back and fitz puts defense right back on field. Team doesn't believe he is a franchise quarterback. His career stats prove that. Just like most fans who don't believe he is a 50 million dollar man, his teammates don't either.. I can't imagine what these guyz think about his contract in the locker room. There are so many problems with this team from coaching to personnel..We can sit here all day and dissect this team. Bottomline he can't turn ball over in that situation, they had the lead. So yes it's on him.. He gave a short field to an offense that hadn't did anything since his last turnover to begin the 3rd quarter.. They punt and Hasselbeck engineers a drive so be it but he did the one thing Gailey surely told him not to do. . Bills will never be anything but mediorcre or worse with him at QB. I remain a Bills fan and that will never change. May I rest in Peace..lol
  6. I've always thought he was overrated. Definately isn't as good as he thinks.. He isn't an upper echelon back at all. Glad he got his money.. Time for him to go away and cheer on CJ because it's best for team if he touches the ball 25 times a game.
  7. Ahh coaching the only profession that you can be fired from just about every job youve had over the years and get rehired.....who are we kidding the cowboys were a dynasty...when these two clowns were there...both have failed miserably since then..in just about every endeavor....that said the bills are no where near as talented...you can start at qb..work down..mediorcrity is the watchword til they get a qb.
  8. Was at the game... This was one of the worst games I've seen/been to since dunno..Fitz is egregious, no arm and zero touch. There is a reason he was let go from two other teams. Nix should be fired for simply wasting the Old Man's money. Fitz, Williams and Jackson. Journey man qb, 31 year old rb that has had 1 1000 yd campaign with a game-changing backup you drafted in the 1st round eroding behind him. You don't pay somebody because of what they did. Spiller is more then capable. I would've let Freddie walk, sorry. I like Mario Williams, never thought he was worth the money and there is a reason Houston said bye-bye (watts) but I blame his lack of production on coaching and scheme. ... I like to think this will turn around but this team quit again..Not sure what is going on with Tavaris Jackson being inactive and what his role is on the roster if he's just gonna be a tool......If Wannstandt cant scheme to get pressure on Kolb next week I can't see them winning this game even though it may be close. Tough loss today. Wannstandts defense has giving up 76 pts in last 5 quarters..!! NFL Defense with supposedly one of the better front 4's in the game. Wow...Frightening .....I feel for the Old man and his family watching these debacles the last 2 weeks especially with 75 million guaranteed in williams and fitzpatrick (24 mil) yikes!
  9. Personally..I dont see a viable QB in the draft...but TeBow late 3/4 round would be a good risk and cant be any worse than what we have. Something tellls me he has the "it" factor and will succeed at the NFL level..+ he has the build to take punishment..Honestly I would just like to a have a productive draft out of out 1st and 2nd round picks.. The bills have did well in the late rounds but its hard not to think what if.. Just go back through the last 6 years of 1st /2nd round picks.. The bills should simply trade away 1st 2nd round picks for multiple draft choices inlater rounds.. they study long and wrong.. proof is in the pudding. Last year most people called for Cushing or Orapko, year before most of us were calling for DRC over Mckelvin. The jury is still out on Hardy. 2007 looked promising with Lynch and POZ but 2 years later its not looking good. 2006 went Whitner when we needed Ngata and wasted a pick on Mccargo.. So back to the Thread.. I don't care what they go after in the 1st few rounds just be productive in a Bills uniform.
  10. he supposedly wants a 5 year/30 Million.... Probably wishful thinking I know but they came out of left field with the TO deal so who knows what the hell Brandon is thinking.
  11. C'mon Russ...I'll forgive you with the reach on the Maybin pick if you can make this happen.. All this talk about him playing OLB is ridiculous.. Maybin cannot play outside linebacker in the NFL, who are we kidding here... He doesn't have the cover skills or the speed to go sideline to sideline. This could be the chance to cash in on a 26 year old stud in his prime.. please..please
  12. Excited but nervous in Hawaii!! Please don't let me down Russ....Take Cushing if he's there... Need a guy that lives, breathes football.. Cushing is a can't miss lunch pale stud.. Stick him in and let him create havoc the next 10 years. Don't see Maybin or Orakpo as game changers...sorry fellas. Jmo
  13. This must be a trick question: If Curry is available at #11 ...The Bills will pass because in all likelihood Mr. Curry was critically injured or didn't wake up saturday morning.
  14. Obviously one of the top 2 tackles if they fall..doubt it.. Top DE Jackson probably be gone, too. I would take Orapko or Cushing if availiable.. too much risk with Smith from Alabama.. there are some tackles the Bills can get later in the 1st round that have some upside.. Orapko or Cushing could start right away and contribute immediately.. I like Cushing the most.. he's a monster.. and has all the intangibles you want from a professional.. He's looking at a long career and would take him before Oher for sure.. Most importantly, I just hope the Bills don't reach with this pick...
  15. 3 picks for an All-Pro Left Tackle sounds good until you parlay them into picks like Mike Williams, Erick Flowers and John McCargo....there is a reason why these guyz make the money they do..hardest position to fill in the NFL... Here's to the Bills that they hit paydirt with at least one of those picks... Giving their Draft History I wouldn't bet on it.
  16. It's getting to the point where I simply don't care what Bills Management does anymore..I got excited with the TO signing, now this crap before the draft has simply quelled my expectations again. What did the Bills think they were getting when they drafted Parrish in the 2nd round a few years ago in the first place...Trading him for a 4th rounder is ridiculous. The guy is a game changer, good at what he does and the Bills simply need to figure out a way to get him more touches...You bring in TO to help the offense and then get rid of Peters..makes no sense... Pro Bowl caliber Left Tackles are the hardest positions to fill in the NFL besides QB..Now Langston Walker is going to protect the kid this year. Expect Owens to complain about getting the damn ball and don't expect Evans to have time to get down field before the party in the backfield. Personally, I can't blame Peters for shutting it down....character, loyalty and integrity are traits that must be reciprocated in business. The Bills found and developed an undrafted tight end from Arkansas who turned into an above average Left Tackle who they wanted to continue to treat like an undrafted free agent, practice squad talent.. Wilson, should've made it right last spring..Guess what..If your draft picks happen turn out to be players you thought they were or might become you're are going to have to pay the piper eventually Ralph...I know, I know if I don't like it stay home and find another team to support.. bull sh--.....I have simply come to the realization as a fan that I will never see Buffalo Bills play in another Super Bowl in my lifetime..either because of the futile lack of effort to put a quality product on the field by this current administration or because the team simply decided to move from their roots in Western New York. It was painful last year watching former bills like Wire and Leonhard who are the ultimate high motors guys with avg athleticism, big hearts, high football IQs and great teammates start for playoff teams. You have to have synergy in the locker room and on the field....until that changes with this organization don't expect much... You can have all the talent in the world but if your ego is bigger than the team you won't sniff success.. These Bills lack leadership and role models and I don't see anybody on that team that brings a lunchpale to work.. The 90's Bills were full of them.
  17. Well after 13 weeks...hindsight being 20/20...the bills were never good.. teams they beat are a combined 18-60 thus far...Bills were simply playing with smoke and mirrors and had almost all die-hard Bills fans fooled...I'm embarassed that I stuck up for this pathetic group earlier this season when other fans were dogging the team.. citing they haven't played anybody... Well they were right...the writing was on the wall when Brady Quinn walked out of the Ralph with a win on a Monday Night. Honestly, I never really gave them a chance today with Losman starting. I feel like I'm watching "Sackalicious" Rob Johnson all over again when Losman plays...he is definitely garbage.....Now Jauron is who I thought he was..he isn't going to take this team to the next level. I just can't see it... I don't know where we go from here ..Russ Grimm? Not that is even possible...but I do think Jauron is living on borrowed time.
  18. Agreed.. Couldn't of said it any better... Tired of looking at this tard already..
  19. Such a perfect schedule gone to sh--..seemed like everything was aligning perfectly this season. The interceptions were a moot point tonight ...the game came down to that fg try and to borrow a quote "They let them off the Hook"!! Lost to a QB starting his 2nd NFL game on the road Monday Night in the Ralph...couln't ask for a better script to get back on track.......Jauron takes that loss..he settled for a 47 yard fg to win the game or go ahead with a chance to win the game. I'm not giving up...i still like the schedule but the fat lady is tuning up.. Schedule next year won't be easy. 13 of theses teams are at or above .500 right now. HOME Houston Indianapolis New Orleans Tampa Bay Miami NE Jets AFC North- Browns/Bengals/Steelers/Ravens - depends on finish AWAY Jacksonville Tennessee Atlanta Carolina Miami NE Jets AFC West- Raiders/Chiefs/Chargers/Broncos - depends on finish
  20. Its all spilled milk now.. When we were posting during the draft last spring...I thought DRC would be the better fit because of his size and the defensive scheme deployed. While Leodis was the most polished returner in the draft and with extreme upside as a corner.. he has only done well returning kickoffs thus far.. I'll be the first to admit that I would've like to see DRC in a Bills Uniform but we have to move on....Like most others posting..I agree we have to wait but let's not forget the kid was drafted in a round where players are supposedly impact players..Hard to justify drafting a 1st round special teams player.. Hopefully he proves the organization right..
  21. We definately need that threat in the RED ZONE.
  22. I'm okay with that. We needed size and the fact he can stretch the field some will only be positive.
