  1. Lavernius Coles is better than Lee Evans by a wide margin as he is always the focus of the defense and still manages to get open.
  2. Knight was on Mike & Mike this morning and actually did good job of breaking down defenses in the Conf. tournament games. He thinks the Big East has the most quality teams and also emphasize defense.
  3. I think you are going to very disappointed in what Walsh has for evidence.
  4. Below is the analysis of J.P.: J (Milwaukee): How were JP Losman's bad decision metrics this year? And were they an improvement over last year? To the untrained eye it sure seemed that way. KC Joyner: (4:05 PM ET ) You guys are something like the 4th or 5th persons to ask me about Losman in the past few days! Losman had very good deep metrics (5th best YPA in bombs) but his combined medium/short metrics were terrible, especially the bad decision percentage. Overall his bad decision percentage was around the Jon Kitna level, if that tells you anything! Lane (Kukuihaele, HI): Losman gets help with the additions of Walker, Dockery, and Whittle to the offensive line. Pass protection may have been a part of his bad decisions. Do you think these additions will help him even though there's no running back threat yet? KC Joyner: (4:09 PM ET ) Lane, all of those things could help him but my scout's eye says that Losman just doesn't see the short/medium parts of the field very well. He's a gunslinger and the best way to use a gunslinger is to try to get his YPA high enough to offset the bad decisions.
  5. By KC Joyner ESPN Insider Archive I recently completed an analysis of my major 2006 metrics for inclusion in ESPN's 2007 Fantasy Football Magazine and I thought I might share some of the most interesting metric highs and lows. Tom Brady led all quarterbacks with the lowest bad decision percentage for the second year in a row. Brady had a mere five bad decisions in 533 dropbacks, which translates into a meager 0.9 bad decision percentage. If this metric is any indication, no quarterback is better at reading defenses. Rex Grossman was roundly criticized last season for forcing passes into coverage. Grossman did lead the league in near interception percentage (7.3), but Brett Favre actually topped Grossman for the highest total of near interceptions (Favre 44, Grossman 37). Already an Insider? 6. The Broncos are light years ahead of the Bills. Again the last Bills playoff appearance was in 2000. Enough said.
  7. The Bills will lose that game against the Broncos and Losman will be exposed as the fraud he is.
  8. The Broncos have three advantages: Coaching- Shanahan is second to Belichick in my opinion and Jauron is not even in the same league, Defense- Very dominant and more experience winning and knowing how to win on the road. My prediction is a loss 24-17.
  9. This must be the playbook for Sports radio stations. I live in Boston and WEEI is always talking about their the #1 rated sports sports station in the country. They even have little bits where they brag about being #1. WEEI is awful w/ the same type of blow hards who know zero about sports.
  10. Not true. Tomlinson ran a 4.38 at the combine and Turner ran a 4.51.
  11. I said very clearly Thomas will help them because he is far better than Junior or Banta-Cain and you can't refute that. In regards to the Patriots being the model franchise the results speak for themselves. You know they will the division again and beat the Bills twice.
  12. There is a huge drop considering Holcomb has played in the league and Nall never has.
  13. The bottom line here is the Bills have not made the Playoffs since the 99/00 season. Until we make the Playoffs, we can and will be criticized. The Patriots are the model in the NFL. Since 2001 they have 3 SB's, 4 AFC championship games, 5 years in the playoffs and the most wins in the NFL during that time and now w/ their additions in free agency they have only improved. Say what you want about Adalius Thomas, anything is an improvement considering their old linebakers. It's very easy to criticize the Bills and praise the Patriots because of the empirical evidence. That being said, I think Marv is doing a good job.
  14. I know that Jerry Angelo and Belichick are best friends and I remember when the Pats traded for Ted Washington there were whispers that Angelo pretty much gave him away. Not saying he will give Briggs away but maybe Belichick gets the first shot to make a fair deal.
  15. Below is a rumor of Briggs to the Pats for one of their 2 first round picks: e. He said the Bears had a seven-year, $33-million contract offer on the table for Lance Briggs last year, but haven't offered him a multi-year deal this offseason. It's either play the year at $7.2 million (poor guy), sit out (he'll never do that) or hope some team comes to the Bears (the Patriots?) and says, "We'll give you a low first-round pick for Briggs,'' and then signs him to a $7 million-a-year deal with $20 million guaranteed.
  16. JP-ERA- All his anti Brady stuff- Not a first rounder and not that good- He will one day be in the Hall of Fame- Good analysis by JP-ERA
  17. It's absolutely true and will be announced at 4:00 PST today pending a physical.
  18. Just heard on Oakland sports radio that The Patriots acquired Randy Moss via trade for a second round pick in 2008.
  19. I will say it again. The bottom line here if Thomas doesnt' get hurt he is a huge upgrade to what they had (old linebakers). BTW they were 1 minute from going to the Super Bowl with the old linebakers. Also they have the money to blow.
