Me & my friends always go on a bills road trip. we were hoping Miami or jacksonville was after October 15. I guess my preference would be going to Jacksonville, Ive been to Miami so many times. Plus I like the golfing better in Jacksonville, plus my wife wont give me as tough of time. She thinks we party more down in Miami.

Your right about point 2, I cant believe I missed. He royally screwed it up by replacing one of the best special teams coaches with that idiot jones. Point 1 is debatable. Johnson did play great against indy in the season finally. Couple points though. Even though the game was played Jan 2 or 3rd, I remember the weather was perfect that day. I think it was close to 50. I remember being at the game, with my friends, & we were in jeans & sweatshirts. 2nd, Indy had nothing to play for, clinched the division, plus homefield, watching the game, it was pretty obvious they packed it in. Now, Im not trying to debate the Johnson/Flutie call, I went to every home game that year(as I do most years), flutie was pretty rotten the whole year. I remember taking my dad to a december game against the gmen that year. Once again, perfect weather conditions, my dad made a comment(big flutie fan) saying he couldnt believe how poor the flute was throwing the ball & that you dont realize it as much on tv as you do when your actually at the game. Anyways, tough call to make either way. I would of probably stuck with the flute, but I thought johnson did enough things right in that tenn game to justify the decision.

Pacman getting suspended can only help Buffalo's
Gordio replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember they have Norv Turner as a coach now. IMO, that takes them right out of any superbowl discussion. -
You make some strong points backed up by good insight & alot of facts. I applaud your research.

Well my guess is that the Linebackers were Sam Cowart, Gabe Northern, Holicheck & Sam Rogers. A Winfield, Thomas Smith, Henry Jones & K Schutz. Cant remember who got injured but Im pretty sure that is who started. Pretty excellent secondary, decent LBs. Cowart was a beast pre injury & although the other 3 lbs mentioned never had very good careers anywhere else, they fit 3-4 schem very nicely. LT at the end of the game is a guess, but I do remember several olinemen getting injured. My guess would be Jaimie Nails. Just a guess though. I could tell you that the backups in the secondary were probably Tillman & Kenny irvin & Keon Carpenter & LBS were probably Polk, Newman & Forman. Dont really see what your point is. If any game emphasizes Wade's shortcomings it is that game. We had the game won. But him & his cronie Ronnie Jones didnt have the special teams ready for a trick play. We lost that game because of coaching, plain & simple. I thought Phillips should of actually been fired after that game. Porter might of been the backup in the game for the injured secondary now that I think about it. He was the one that wasnt in his lane on the homerun throwback.

Who Will We Play on the Road AFTER they "Byed"?
Gordio replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All I was saying was dont count 2004 as part of your conspiracy theory because we had a week off before the game also. I never understood why they cant schedule teams that play each other both coming off a bye. It seems to me it would be rather easy to do. Just have a whole division be on the bye week at the same time & then schedule division matchups the week after. Doesnt seem to complicated. -

2004 we also were coming off a bye. So you really can not count that year. -
It is really not that hard to argue this post. The teams Wade coached were loaded, especially on the defensive side. For Phillips to have the talent he had for 3 years & not win one single playoff game was an outrage imo.

I knew someone was going to post that. I didnt feel like looking it up.

The Flix on Transit has $5 for any movie every Tuesday. Plus it is 1/2 off on all concessions. -

Now drafting a safety early is a trend???
Gordio replied to zonabb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whatever team gets Landry is going to have the centerpiece for their defense for 10yrs. Not many safeties you could build a defense around. This guy is one of them. He could do it all. -
You know I saw an interesting piece on the Raiders on sunday on ESPN. They were interviewing Porter & they said why did he not want to play for Art Shell. He said coach Shell && coach Florres basically had no clue what they were doing. He said their line assignments for the oline were just baffling & that the line actually was decent(he singled out gallery saying the guy just didnt forget how to block overnight). He said they were asking each lineman to do something different & it was more the scheme then the poor play of the oline. Anyways, I think this boads well for Mr Walker & our oline this year. I think he will be a nice addition.

I heard on the radio that the schedule will be released tomorrow. I guess it is up on the Bengals website.

My guess is that Peterson is going to go to Atlanta & either Willis or Okoye are going to SF. If Willis & AP are off the boards, I think the bills should draft Lynch. This guy is a playmaker. I may venture to say that I think he is going to be better then AP. If you do that, try to get back into the 1st round & get Poz or maybe Timmons or Beason(not even sure you have to get back into the 1st round to get these guys).

San Diego Union-Trib Article from TBD Frontpage
Gordio replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Noone is sending over a 1st & a 3rd for Turner. If that was the case turner would be on another team already. That old prick AJ Smith could take that trade & shove it right up his A** if that is the case. A third this year & conditional pick next year is more like it. -
Anyone here what jabari green said on the radio yet?
Gordio replied to BILLS #1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please tell me your not serious? The guy didnt buy into the program. They had a new coaching staff last year, with new ideas & a new playbook, but yet he could not be bothered by coming up here to participate in the offseason. The players could say whatever they want to the media, but it had to stick in some players craws that the focal point of our offense wasnt around for the offseason. I think with Levy & Jauron that was the straw that broke the camels back. From that point on they decided they were going to unload him on the 07 offseason. The guy wasnt committed to the bills. Case in point he gets to Baltimore & now all of a sudden he is participating in Baltimore for the entire offseason. Just goes to show you he didnt want to be in Buffalo. Need to weed players out like that. Him & Spikes both did not want to be here, for various reasons. Getting rid of both of them is addition by subtraction. Plus both of them were average at best last year imo. -
WGR's self-promotion and "number one ranking"

Nowhere, Im just saying we lost with Clements, maybe he was part of the reason we lost. -

Gordio replied to zonabb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey all Clements had to do was knock down that pass against Jacksonville in the opener a few years ago & the bills would of been well on their way to the playoffs. Clements should look in the mirror before throwing any stones as to why the bills have not made the playoffs in the last 5 years. -

Going 7-9 with a young up & coming team is not being down BIG time. -
WGR's self-promotion and "number one ranking"
Gordio replied to zonabb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The main problem I have with them is at least once a week Schoop & Bulldog have to do a show in someway comparing the Sabres to the bills & basically making the bills look bad. Obviously this town is in an uproar for the sabres, but if the bills had a season like the sabres(which would be equilvalent to 15-1, #1 seed in the entire playoffs) you would not hear a peep out of this town about the sabres until football season was over. That is my big complaint with them, plus schoop is a no it all. -
Bills And Bolts are talking trade talks
Gordio replied to BILLSBACKERINLA's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just went over to the Chargers board(kinda board at work today) to see if they have any news. Man, for an organization that has never won anything, they are some arrogant bastards over there. Some of them even posted that the bills will be willing to swap 1sts & give them their 2nd & 3rds for Turner. The one poster cracked me up saying something like Turner could go for the money, or stay in SD & win super bowls??? -
AJ Smith will take Marv to the cleaners
Gordio replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You forgot they have Norv Turner has their head coach. They are not winning anything.
