  1. Here are my ticket stubs from the first regular season game at Rich.  I believe tickets were priced at $5, $7, and $9 in 1973.  Still have the program in a box somewhere.  I remember it was a great weather day, but not too much scoring, as the Bills won 9-7.  Still have images of OJ juking out several Jets for a long gainer.

  2. Heartbroken when I heard the news yesterday...B. Robby and F. Robby were the heroes of my youth and they're now both gone.  Sad day in Birdland.

Tp paraphrase a great line, in New York, they name candy bars after Reggie Jackson; in Baltimore, we name our kids after Brooks Robinson.

The kinda sorta workaround I've found is I just select one of the multiviews of 4 games that I'm interested in and then once that loads up, I'll click on the Bills game from there. Then, any time you want to switch feeds you just hit back once and it brings you back to that multiview and you can select one of the other 3 games quickly.

This is gold Jerry, GOLD!  Thank you!

  4. Good find.  I was at this game and when you look back, how strange it is to see hardly anyone in the stands wearing NFL gear.  There's a hat or t-shirt here or there, but nothing like today, where everyone is decked out in jerseys, hoodies, etc.  Also, nice Haven Moses sightings.

I really liked Andrew Siciliano’s RZ and I can’t stand the dude who does the “standard” RZ channel.  I almost have to mute it — he’s that bad.

Respectfully disagree on this point...Big Ears rambled on too much during the action, I like how YTTV just let's the network announcers call the game without butting in.

Also found that YTTV switches from game to game a lot faster...liking that feature as well.

also check out Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern (based out of Herndon VA), I’m 99% sure I saw a facebook post by them a few months back selling all kinds of ticket packages at various levels (some include a buffet spread and transportation to the game).

Jimmy's excursion is sold out, but may want to check them out and get on the standby list.

Hearing he has six busloads of Bills fans going.

  7. I go back to This Week in Pro Football, where Pat Summerall did the NFL highlights and Charlie Jones did the AFL highlights.

With the merger in 1970, it was Summerall and Tom Brookshier doing the show.  They were a great pairing both on the highlights and in the booth for CBS.

Do you think it’s any more risky than weather affecting the satellite reception?  I’ve never had a dish but have heard weather can affect reception.

I had DirecTV for 23 years before dropping them this past January and I can count on one hand how many times weather affected reception.  Not as much snow here in northern Virginia as in NY, but we get heavy rains from time to time and it rarely affected the dish.
