You can always wait until August and call and see if you can get it free or at a reduced cost...wait...what?

M*A*S*H, but only up to when Frank Burns left. After that, the show was unwatchable. Even Klinger became annoying when he dropped women's clothing and started wearing a Toledo Mud Hens jersey and cap.
Some other comfort shows: Barney Miller, Cheers (the first several seasons), Taxi, The Honeymooners (the original 39), Combat!, Twelve O'clock High, Homicide, Life on the Street (why isn't this great show streaming anywhere???), Streets of San Francisco.
Seinfeld had a great run but the last few seasons were painful. George becomes more annoying in each rerun...the only saving grace during those years was Jerry Stiller.

Isn’t it weird when that happens? The older I get it happens more and more. What I can't understand are reports of when the world's oldest man dies. It happens much too often and it's kinda spooky.

Had a Sunday plan with the Orioles, 1989-98. Gave them up when they let Raffy Palmeiro go and brought in Albert Bell. Typical Angelos move.
Welcome David Rubenstein.

The Stephen A. Smith-ization of sports tv shows is why I don’t watch them anymore. Who sits and watches two guys yelling at each other about things that dont even matter in life?
I do like PTI though, because they're both old like me, complain about many of the same things in sports I do, and also like me, Tony goes to bed at 9:30. Often times though, they're caught up in the NBA/Lakers/Warriors drama, which during those segments, I zone out.

Much of the right wing press made this out as a DC Dems issue of uncontrolled crime near the current Capitals and Wizards venues. I've never heard that substantiated elsewhere.

I live in the DC area. I can substantiate that crime is again a major issue in the District, not only in the Chinatown area but throughout the city.

Agree...and his antics at the KC playoff game were just another drunk schmo rooting for the other team.

Growing up in Rochester when they were an Orioles farm, I immediately latched on to the Birds. Saw Don Baylor, Bobby Grich, Mike Flanagan, Al Bumbry, Mike Mussina, Mike Boddicker, Cal and countless others at Silver Stadium on their way to the bigs.
NBA? Meh...

Does anyone know (i can't remember) if they had any time outs left to where if they did try another play and didn't get out of bounds that they could used a time out ? If so that to me was another screw up by the Bills .
Looks like Kelly spiked the ball with 9 seconds left...that's an eternity in today's game.
Full PxP: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199101270buf.htm#all_pbp Linked page does not say when TOs were taken, but I believe the Bills were out of them.
I hear Four Falls is a great documentary but I won't watch...too soon.

Read Boys in the Boat over the summer, best book I've read since Unbroken. I'm putting off seeing the movie because I was very disappointed in the Unbroken movie...the uneven reviews for BITB lead me to believe the same for that movie.
UPDATE: Saw Boys in the Boat last weekend. Very good movie, not great, and I believe it captured the essence of the book.

Youre one person. As I mentioned above, there are a lot of people in the older demographic that are not exactly tech saavy. And you have to be pretty tech saavy to get these services up and running in your home.

I believe the games usually had to be sold out at some point on Thursdays to prevent a blackout.
Back then you had to call or line up at the ticket office to buy the tickets. If you called you had a lot less control over where you'd sit. Blacked out games were often near full capacity because there were always thousands who wouldn't buy tickets if they could watch from home. I think they extended the blackout date to Friday for this game but still didn't sell out.
The "policy" was a game needed to be sold out 72 hours before kickoff to be televised. It was never a "rule" or even a league "bylaw." Seemed the policy shifted week to week and team to team. Teams (owners) often got "permission" from the league office to extend the deadline if a sellout was close.
So glad the league has jettisoned this policy.

Didn't have any picture issues, but every three minutes or so, the sound cut out for a split second. Wish the sound would cut out every time Collinsworth opened his pie hole...
Anybody else have any tech issues?

It was widely assumed the NFL would flex the early CBS Miami at Baltimore game to SNF Week 17 on New Year's Day in place of the scheduled Green Bay at Minnesota game (remember, only 6-days' notice is required for a SNF flex Weeks 14-18). But the NFL has decided to leave things in place:
MIA-BAL will remain in the CBS 1 PM slot 12/31.
NE-KC will remain the feature late game in the 4:25 PM slot on CBS.
GB-MIN will remain on SNF.
The late CBS game is Cincinnati at KC...which makes it a lot more watchable.

The blackout policy (it was never a rule) was changed at the start of the 1973 season and several Bills home games were on local TV that season. Don't know about the Philly game though.
You can thank President Richard Nixon for strongly urging the NFL and Congress to change the pre-1973 policy. Nixon, a fervent football fan, could not watch the 1972 NFC championship between the Redskins and Cowboys because the game was blacked out in Washington, despite being sold out. Nixon's prodding led the NFL to install a policy where if a game was sold out 72 hours before kickoff, it could be shown locally. Thankfully, this revamped policy was abandoned several years ago, where now every home game is shown locally, sold out or not.
