He'll reach his prime just in time to sign a $100 million contract with San Francisco. -

What's to love--how is this guy going to make a difference? He can't catch the football. We should have traded down. -

I'm not upset :thumbsup:with you--I'm just having passionate discussion. I do get carried away, I admit. We're friends.

Postion and round to pick

You have to draft center higher than six and no lower than four. If for some ungodly reason we have to live with Fowler this year, he is definitley gone next year, and we'll definitely need a solid center this time around. You can't win championships without a very good center. Put the CB in the fourth round, but of course this all depends on who grades out higher that is left on the board. -
How in the heck is a 4.49 lumbering especially a kid known to run precise routes? Please explain that to me.
-
Yes, because the faster you are, the better you will be as a pro. An unbelievable 122 receptions and 11 TDs mean nothing because he runs a 4.5. If I remember correctly, A guy named Reed ran a 'slow' 4.5 but no one could cover him. Oh boy.

Just to get off the draft for a bit, I just noticed we end the schedule in Denver and at home against NE. Seems to be this has all the makings of the last two years--chance to make playoffs and end up losing the last two games. I guess the schedule-makers figured we'll take it easy on the Bills the first few weeks and nail them at the end instead.

Why no love for Leodis McKelvin?

Move up to get a CB? I admit I'm not the most knowledgeable on this board, but give picks away to get a CB? If I'm going to move up, I want Gholsten. I'm sorry I just don't think CB is a premier need, it is a bonus pick, not an essential. CBs aren't game changers like lineman or pass-rushing LBs. JMO for whatever it is worth. Just draft Harvey or Rivers and lets move on to the second round and get our WR. -
You can fault the pass-rush and the linebackers for their role in covering the middle of the field. The cornerbacks played well. We don't need a stinkin' cornerback until the middle rounds. This is the year Youboty steps up.

Manningham a genius?

You know Marino only score a 13. Actually 13 isn't bad for Pacman considering his gangsta mentality. -

I'm very familiar with Wonderlics--I was trained in using them as a tool for hiring employees. Seriously, a six is close to being a retard. -
A major reach at #11

Disagree...in the first round you draft the best player available on the board. Drafting to need is dangerous because you are paying too much money and systems change down the line. You draft to need in the second. This is why I'd grab Rivers or Harvey if they are still available. If the Bills trade down then that is a different story. If Gholsten somehow slips, then my God you have to take him. -
Losman on the block
Mike formerly from Florida replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, there are some decent journeymen out there and we still have the draft. I'm not saying JP can't be a decent back-up, I'm saying he doesn't want to be one, and he will serve as nothing but a distraction. In terms of value, anybody thinking we can get better than a 4 is on drugs. It doesn't matter if he was drafted in the first round, he is a laughingstock around the league, the same way other team's boards laugh at us thinking we can get a second or a third or both. -

How are you going to gat a high 2 for a guy who has accomplished basically...nothing. If they offer us a four, run with it. Personally, I don't think he's worth a four. -
Looks like Buffalo is

Because CB has very little impact and when was the last time we re-signed a starting CB? Odomes, Winfield, Clements...it's a wasted pick. If Keith Rivers is there-grab him. I would take Harvey as well. These two guys would go into the rotation and help us right away. We can grab a very good receiver in the second (or we can move up into the first if necessary) and our te in the third. Then go get your cb. -
Can a team win with two white liebackers?
