Then they should have brought Hollins back and not signed Moore.
They tried. Hollins opted to be weird in NE

Kirk Cousins, Jimmy G, Daniel Jones, Jake Browning, Marcus Mariota, Andy Dalton, Jacoby Brisset, Gardner Minshew, Cooper Rush, Zach Wilson, etc. Russell Wilson at this point (even though he is technically starting, but he is basically a backup level QB now). Tyrod Taylor is still maybe above average as a backup.
I was actually really hoping the Bills would sign Zach Wilson as a backup. He is athletic and has a big arm. He is a good kid and would probably really benefit from being with a strong organization and Josh Allen. I think he would be a good backup.
All of those guys are basically the same as Trubisky in my eyes. Failed starters. Cousins and Jimmy G have been terrible as of late, Dalton is old as dirt. I like Wilson, but he has done very little in the league to be relied on
I just don't see a measurable difference in those guys vs Trubisky. JMO

Crazy that the Spurs drafted a player 1st overall at age 22 knowing he wasn't gonna be able to play for 2 seasons. Not sure if that would happen in today's NBA or any of the major leagues. But Robinson had a Hall of Fame Career so it was the right decision to wait the 2 years.
7'1 centers with athletic ability are difficult to find. Sometimes, its worth the wait

He isn't really above average as a backup. Maybe average at best. But that's fine.
Who are the above average backups in the league? Honestly asking
Off the top of my head:
Jake Browning
bunch of nobodies

Not against Davis coming back, but...
Are we really going to judge Moore's performance thus far from working with Trubisky and White?
I’m judging Moore on 4 years of being mediocre

I think he's regressed since posting those numbers. Most of which occurred earlier in his career. The two years he left and started a few games for Pittsburgh he was 2-5 and had more INT's than TD's. He's hot trash at this point. I don't even think we have a a guy that can keep us a float for 4-5 weeks if necessary.
Pittsburghs OC at the time was Matt Canada, who was so bad he hasn’t even gotten another coaching job since then. Also, he was taking over for Big Ben and expectations were unrealistic.
Every QB under Tomlin has sucked except for Rothlisberger

No, but thats what preseason is for. Give players/coaches and opportunity and see what they do

They hang tough more often than not - the guy has a .650-win percentage for ***** sake.
Right? And they have been blown out in like 3 games over 5 years. Bills fans love being miserable

I wonder if below the surface if there is some resentment about Hamlin being on the squad from his teammates. I'm sure hes a nice guy and good friends to a lot of the players, but if we see what a liability he can be on the field, rest assured the rest of the players can see it as well.
On the flip side, if he IS cut, along with other fan favorites and feel good stories like Andreesen, it may send a message that ANYONE can be cut if they dont produce.
I swear Bills fans create drama out of nothing

Dart has looked good but its preseason. Remember Nate Peterman also looked good in preseason and then we saw what he looked like in a real game. I am not saying Dart won't be a good QB in the future. Let's see him do it in a regular season game against the other team's starting defense who will actually be game planning for him. It doesn't matter anyway as Wilson will be the starting QB for them.
The only thing Peterman and Dart have in common is they both play QB

It's 100% true.
Trubisky has proven to be awful throughout his career. Mike White was already that crappy AFC East QB, and would quickly shift to the worst in the division. And yeah, Buechele blows. He's camp fodder.
3-4 wins without Allen. The Bills have one stud on this team. To me, that's mind boggling 8 years into a regime.
They get credit for Allen for sure. But geez, otherwise, it's a collection of medicore talent all over the field. I mean, really, with all of the WR injuries that the Bills have had, does it really matter which three are left out there starting? They have like 12 WR's on the roster, it seems, and all of them are mediocre. And really, none look better than Shavers.
To me, it's just as frustrating not equipping Allen with talent than it is not making the playoffs for almost 2 decades. Just my opinion.
The same result is coming again from the same exact blueprint we've tried for the last 7 years.
If you take away the teams best player, they will probably suck
Hot take there

Since he’s retired and has a bad neck, yeah, he’s not of value on a football field

Dart has looked good
20 hours ago, BuffaloRebound said:I’d play Winston over Wilson if they don’t wanna start Dart right away. Wilson has been cooked for a couple years. Afraid to take hits and checks down the second he feels pressure.
Wilson is safe at this point in his career. Its why he played last year in Pittsburgh. As much as Daboll needs to win games, his best shot is the rookie. Winston is a turnover machine

I love these posts. The bears probably spent like 100k for a study of the best place to build the new stadium, had countless meetings with state and govt officials, held town halls with citizens and finally, after all that, were able to agree on a site.
But then somebody comes on a message board and is like "why not downtown?"

McD is too emotionally invested in him to cut him unfortunately.
There is no evidence of this. Hamlin started most of the year last year because Cole Bishop was so bad and they had no one else.
People need to stop acting like the Bills keep trotting Hamlin out like he’s a make a wish kid. He’s a legit NFL player and a backup caliber safety. Blame Beane for giving the coaching staff no viable option to replace him

Andreesen is a nice story, but this was going to happen eventually. If you’ve been watching hard knocks, you can see how much he is struggling, particularly in coverage

One thing I will say is there have been comments on here about how Pegula's interactions were all staged - and I'm not so sure. I've heard Beane in multiple interviews talk about how Pegula loves to be involved n the process of player evaluation - especially in the draft - and a natural extension of that would be the evaluation of who makes the final roster.
Beane made the following comments on 'Fitz an Whit' podcast earlier this year before the draft:
I've been to mutiple TC practices over the years where Pegula was present, and it is common for him to be talking to Beane and others on the sideline as was shown in Hard Knocks. I think he is 'hands-on' in terms of wanting to understand and be present during player evaluations bc he likes the process (probably how most of us would be), but I don't think he tries to meddle in the actual final decisions. I don't think the shots they've had of him have been totally made-up.
People I know in the Bills organization tell me as such. Terry is involved, but hes letting people do their jobs
10 hours ago, MJS said:This is why they focused on the crappy teams. Good teams are just too boring because there is very little drama, starting jobs are mostly set, etx.
The Bills would have be EXCELLENT content during some of the drought years. Or can you imagine the Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie years on hard knocks? That would have been good.
I said to my brother a gailey team with Fitz, Fred Jackson, and Stevie Johnson would have been highly entertaining.
I'm enjoying this season, its fun and lighthearted. But its low drama, which I expected

We're banged up at the position and the upside here is a SB or two. Adding brutal speed to both sides of the ball, in spots we had none would be such a huge win.
We got screwed on Araiza. I bet beane is chomping at the bit. Get er dunnnn
Yeah a lack of a punter has really been holding this team back

In the "bold predictions" thread I picked the Fish to finish 4th in the AFCE.
Miami has enough talent that they should outscore a few bad teams. I think it will be the Jets. Fields is not good. It gonna be a race for the bottom tho, I don't expect any serious competition for the division title
