  1. Nah no point to it. And there is nothing chicken little about the post, just truth and fact. What has Fitz done in his spotty career that shows you he can win us a superbowl? Nothing. We need a much greater upgrade at starting QB but won't have one with Nix.

More than your spotty career as a poster. Blanked statement, you can never eat 100 wings. Never. We need a much greater upgrade to eat 100 wings. I'll leave nothing to be disputed, other than saying that you can never do something I've never done ad have 0 wag of proving that you can never do it. You suck, find a girlfriend.

  2. I don't get the Cousins hype. He reminds me of Drew Stanton (not just because they went to the same school) - a mediocre, caretaker-type career backup. If you're going to pick a QB, pick someone who can develop into a high-quality starter. You can find guys like Cousins in free agency (Josh Johnson, Travaris Jackson, etc.).

Some would disagree with you and say Cousins is a qb in this draft who could develop into a high quality starter.

  3. Just a nice wide smile at this offseason coupled with the first 3 rounds of this draft. Secondary, bolstered. Offensive line, strengthened and solidified. Wide receiver corps, outside deep threat added. 4 of our 6 remaining picks are within the next 50 picks. Zubaz might even come out on sunday if tomrrw goes well.

  4. I'm with you, I think they have to take who they consider to be elite or as close to it as they can get at 10. Floyd, if he's there, is probably the closest to an elite prospect that we'll get. Maybe Ingram, DeCastro or Coples make sense too thinking that way. I don't think that we wouldn't take the best player available because we paid Stevie wr1 money or anyone else really. Buddy has said time and again they'll stay true to their player value board unless 2 players have the same grade, so bpa atop that board at pick 10...

oops, forgot about a dre kirkpatrick or cb type pick with that 10..

  5. There's no crime in having two really good WRs. I don't understand your reasoning here. The Bills aren't selecting a guy in the 2nd Rd with the hopes that he can be a #1, 2, or 3 on the depth chart. Their taking a guy they hope can be a star. I'm sure the Falcons wouldn't have been mad if Julio Jones outperformed Roddy White last year.

  6. And my point is this (please listen from 18:22 - 18:57):

And listen to Buddy's exact words. "It's easier to move a tackle to guard than it is guard to tackle, obviously. So we think we draft tackles, we're pretty good at guard and center"

The whole point of this thread was to point out that Buddy's been a straight shooter ever since becoming the GM. If some fans want to continue to believe that Nix is going to take David DeCastro because he's the best guard since "Steve Hutchinson" than their entitled to that belief. Personally, I'm going to listen to the words coming straight out of the GM's mouth. And remember DeCastro, just like ever other prospect, hasn't played a down in the NFL.....so any comparison to a multiple time All-Pro like Hutchinson are beyond premature.

yo also, this is so old it's not even funny. the funny thing about this whole thread is 'the words coming straight out of the GM's mouth' = around 18:20 right before you paraphrased him 'now this is just...i mean this could be an exception...you could have exceptions to this...it's much easier to move a tackle to guard obviously..etc..'

now do you think an exception might qualify as one of the best prospects at interior line in a few years???

my response to the distinguished gentleman from south is the same to you then - how can we be fans of say andrew luck since we're only going on expert analyses?? you may as well not talk about anyone until next season starts by that logic.

  8. No, if you really want to take him at his word you will listen to exactly what he said, instead of whatever you make up in your mind. :wallbash: Where do people keep getting this BPA garbage? Is it from Spiller?

Also, astute front offices don't draft guards high in the first round (regardless of how well Kiper grades him or what he looks like on Youtube).

well i guess ppl got it (bpa) from buddy nix when he said it... multiple times. i'm sure you read buffalobills.com and watch the videos, go take a look and read/watch for yourself. weird, thought you were acting informed.

and then by your rationale on astute front offices not drafting guards, how can we be fans of say andrew luck since we're only going on expert analyses??

  9. I don't see how Wang relates at all to this. Wang was a total bust like some players in this draft will be. Wang is a more appropriate topic in a Talleywhacker thread.

the thread is about nix stating preference to draft tackles over guards so i looked at the 1st tackle he drafted, who sucks and i'm not sure is still in the nfl. my point is if you really want to take him at his word, he's gonna draft bpa and not tackle over guard. decastro is the highest rated guard in a few years, if he is there i'm sure he's high on the bills draft board regardless of position

  10. honestly, the only thing i dislike about that is decastro. tackles do have a higher flop rate and you can push them inside if they do flop as opposed to an underperforming guard with no where else to turn. great. but decastro isnt just a good guard prospect, he's the best guard prospect to come along since hutchinson. so the whole post is moot. decastro talent level = multiple year all pro. cordy glenn talent level = hopfully above avg left tackle starter. doesn't make sense to me even with the 'we like to draft tackles'. last time i checked ed wang sucks at tackle and didnt even get moved inside to guard before they cut him, so...

  11. ll me why Ingram isn't the pick at 10?

If that's where the strength of our defense needs to come from, then why wouldn't they want to add a stout, pass rushing de to the front? that move would solidify our d-line really well, with talent all over. that's how the g-men do it, gotta add 1 a year. since we're late to acting like an nfl team, we need 2 this year. now, that would be a front that could weather the 16 game season and still put pressure on qbs if someone goes down. we can still get an ot in the 2nd or 3rd round to add to bell, once he realizes his market value and potential for this team/knowing the system/lt starter.

i guess the question is, does ingram make more of a difference throughout the season than say dre kirkpatrick if he was available? i feel like it's the chicken and the egg. i'd be pretty happy about a 6'3'' baller cb but i really think as the season grinds on that extra talent on the d-line will make more of a difference.

  12. only thing im gonna say is that if in fact you were an estate services provider for some of the ultra rich players in this situation, why would you risk your livelihood, which i imagine and possibly incorrectly assume, is a nice one, over something that could very easily get back to your employer and/or clients, which ill also and possibly incorrectly assume, is an exclusive group, to post something here that we'll find out when if what you say should happen, happens...
