Before my time but it would have to go to Lou Saban. He did coach the Bills to back-to-back AFL championships in 64 and 65. No other coach in Bills history has won it all.

Lou also returned and focused on getting the best out of the talented Orenthal James Simpson.

Felt like everyone could finally take a deep breath and exhale after last nights W and what it meant. Now the Bills need to Carpe Diem and get it done.

Steelers will bring physicality to the game. Gotta match their physicality. Bills need to get out of the gates early and force Pitt out of their game plan. Gotta shut down their running game and get pressure on Mason.

Offensively, Bills need to take advantage of Pitts weaknesses at LB and secondary.  Run their offense and don’t give Pitt any points off of turnovers. Kick the ball in the end zone to eliminate any ST gaffes. Brady needs to do better at having a counter punch ready for the blitz.

The table is set, now the Bills need to take care of business and get it done.

BillsMafia will be loud and out in full force.

    LETS GO BUFFALO 🦬

it’ll be Naji Harris up the middle.  The dude is a beast.  He’s hard enough to tackle without adding cold, wind and maybe snow to it.  The Bills probably wouldn’t do it, but I’d consider playing 3 LBs.

In all the aftermath I haven’t seen much talk about Beane. Specifically Rasul Douglas and now Harty have helped keep this thing going. I’m sure that there has been a few other plays/players that have contributed this year but those two in particular really stand out.

    Leonard Floyd.

Leonard Fournette, the pusher on the bobsled play.

Wasn't the prettiest win but that seems to be the theme this year and like the players always say, a w is a w. They all count the same and now we're the 2 seed and division champs. Who would've thought we'd be here at 6-6. Let's make some noise in the playoffs now.

    I did.

i don't get while so many here disrespect McD.  4th AFC East consecutive title.  5 straight playoffs.  some of the same posters disparaging him were Ralph Wilson apologists or even Whaley apologists even tho they both sucked at leading the team.  what gives?  is it personal against McD?

Trolls looking to get under your skin.

A bit more aggressive on first or second down so they don't have to necessarily do what they did on 3rd  and 4th which were the right calls.

Exactly.  I didn’t understand not using regular running plays instead of Josh running parallel to LOS and sliding to avoid going out of bounds and not gaining much.  I’ve not seen any team do that with so much time on the clock.

    All ready open:

    Panthers

    Chargers

    Raiders

All but certain to make a Black Monday move:

    Patriots

    Commanders

    Other spots to watch:

    Falcons (Arthur Smith)

    Seahawks (Pete Carroll - retirement)

That would be seven openings again. The league can't sustain this level of coaching turnover. The talent pipeline isn't capable of re-stocking at this speed.

What do you mean? Leslie Frazier is available.

yea- I have to think that an injury makes way more sense than a battle of egos. That he’s unhappy so they are intentionally going out of their way to poke him and agitate him more makes very little sense. That they are lying to cover an injury and protect his well being makes way more for now.

The NFL has been cracking down on teams not reporting injuries. This would be too obvious and the league would have gotten involved.

I think it’s just that we need to play percentage football. Diggs is incredible but he’s not been how we win games lately. Playoffs is different

Hasn’t it been said that Diggs has been reluctant to block on running plays?  That could be a reason to pull him on RPOs.

If all Kincaid got were "easy" catches without much YAC that kept getting us first downs, I'd be pretty happy.

    Anything above that is gravy.

One thing I noticed and didn’t like was his routes were short and on 3rd downs it seemed he WAS expected to pick up the YAC to get the first down.  As OP mentioned, that was dumb.

Dude, come on.  He completed 15 of 30 and most people seem to think there were several scorable drops.  So no, he was not "off target on most of his throws".

Seriously?  Outplayed by Bailey Zappe and his 3 INTs?  GTFO.

Where's @LanderPoke?  I think he's the one I was questioning about if people were really saying that.  I need to serve your receipts - I disbelieved, but you were right.

Did you watch the game?  Even some of the completed passes required acrobatics by the receivers.  Most attempts at a screen or LOS pass were low or behind the receiver, not allowing them a chance to gain yardage on the move.  Perhaps you could replace my use of “most” with “many” but I stand by what I saw.  The announcers even mentioned Josh’s inaccuracy.

if he wasn't. he is now. but something was wrong with him today. terrible game. terrible.

A few of his decisions were evident of old Josh.  It worked out on the pitch to Shakir, but he was trying to pitch another time while in the grasp which ended up a fumble which fortunately they recovered.  He was off target on most of his throws

  12. 9 hours ago, Captain_Quint said:

Yeah, I'd say he'll be on a pitch count, maybe coming in on 1st/2nd down for run defense. Or 3rd and long to anchor the middle. But it will be great to see he and Joseph both stuffed in the middle.

Legs should be in good shape, but with a pec injury, he probably lost some upper body mass.

Don’t forget about Ed Oliver in the middle.

He was an All-Pro 5 of 8 years and pro bowl for 7 years.

He was the best player on what was a top 2-3 defense every year.

This is why I hate stats. On tape and on Sunday Willis is the focal point of any offense.

Then some bum on a bad defense can make 120 tackles a year 6 yards down field and now he's supposedly better in the history books. 🤷

Yes, and for some stats you can’t compare eras.  Bob Chandler could’ve been a consistent 100+ receptions per year guy in the current era.

  14. Jared Allen and Peppers had similar careers.  Both were Defensive Rookie of the Year.  Both were 2-time Def Player of the Year and both were All Pro several times.  Peppers had more sacks (159 to 136) and played more seasons.

I consider Holt as Very Good.

Gates was one of the all time great TEs.

I only would pick, Peppers, Allen & Gates.

  15. I’m surprised it hasn’t already been mentioned but Art Powell was a Buffalo Bill for one season of 6 games.  He was part of the trade that sent Daryl Lamonica to the Oakland Raiders.  Al Davis fleeced the Bills in that one.

  16. I still say the way the Pro Football HOF operates is lame.  It’s all about the ceremony.

in my opinion, if 10 guys that are eligible are worthy, then vote in 10.  Why limit it to 5?  Conversely, if nobody is worthy in a particular year, don’t vote in any.   Baseball does it the right way. They’ve had years with nobody voted in.

However, I don’t like how the voters for all of the HOFs think they need to decide if a player is worthy to be voted in their 1st year of eligibility.  To me, it should be black and white:  Is he worthy, Yes or No?

Can we please sit back and take a second to think about how awesome it is to have Josh Allen as the quarterback of our Buffalo Bills

A very merry Christmas it is indeed

A legend in the making and a certified gangster on the football field... Josh Allen is the only player in NFL history with four straight 40 touchdown seasons

Over 100 years of NFL football and nobody has done what our boy Josh Allen has accomplished

A shout out to the firebaugh kid

Cheers to another decade and More in Buffalo

He’s been breaking NFL and team records all along.  Now 11 games this season with a TD pass and run.
