Finally some size. That should be the theme going forward. Get bigger.

Yeah, in trying to stay positive about this pick, Anquan Boldin wasn’t fast (4.71 in 40) and he had a very productive career being physical.

So, could it be, after signing Curtis Samuel for speed, they wanted size and physicality so they sniffed at Deebo then made this pick?  But why not Mitchell?

The Bills must of really thought low about Worthy to make that move.

Yeah, his size is considered a detriment vs press coverage.  I read one comment that said he was definitely not close to Tyreek Hill, who is 20# heavier.   The NFL comparison for Worthy is Tank Dell, which still isn’t bad.

The NFL Comp for McConkey is EJ Moore, which doesn’t excite me.

It’s going to be McConk nation. The setup is too perfect.

Kincaid and McConkey. Not just a sketchy sounding law firm, it’s also our future.

I now envision that the 1st pick of the 2nd will be Dejean so they can play him at safety.  Then maybe they take a WR with their original 2nd.

I just can’t get over trading with KC so they can add an offensive weapon.  There had been talk of KC trying to move ahead of the Bills to get a WR ahead of them, but instead the Bills helped them.

You just don’t do that when the other team is one you haven’t been able to beat in the playoffs.

I’ve disagreed in the past with those wanting McD fired.  Now, if KC wins a 3rd straight Super Bowl, beating the Bills to get there again, I’d get rid of the whole lot of them.

I watch on ESPN bc I like Kiper but also record NFL Network and rewatch the Bills selections

The same with me so I watched the ESPN coverage and they didn’t say what the trades were.  I then switched to NFL Network to find out what the Bills got.  They did quite negatively respond to the Bills trading with KC so they could get Worthy.  I agree with it.

You freakin’ can’t beat this team in the playoffs so you trade with them so they can add a weapon?  Is McDermott getting paid by Reid?

in hindsight, it was a waste of time.  I’d rather follow online, which I probably will tomorrow

Reminds me too much of the McCargo pick back in 2006. The guy was viewed as a 3rd/4th rounder -- but leading up to the draft, suddenly his stock shot up. Of course, I have a great deal more faith in this current front office than I did in the one that oversaw that draft.

Somebody earlier mentioned Erik Flowers.  He may not have been as much of a reach but Wade Phillips loved him and took him late in the first for some reason.

Drafting two WR with first three picks is perfectly fine with me. Or using one of the picks to aquire a guy in a trade is fine as well.

Get an edge with the other pick and a safety early on day 3.

I'd be fine if they traded multiple day 3 picks to get back into the third round.

There is probably only 4-5 roster spots up for grabs at this point. 6 if you add another punter.  2 WR, Edge, S, CB  and P. You can trade all the other picks away becuase they either aren't making the team or you can find a LB or CB in UDFA to play Teams.

Excuse me? Did you not notice all the guys under contract let go and the free agents that signed elsewhere?

There are only 28 players left from last season.  There are a lot of holes to fill.

I think the bigger concern is effort and whether he is willing to take coaching.  The rumors about Mitchell are concerning, but we don’t know if they are true.  I trust that the Bills have done a ton of research on these receivers.

I don’t have the same confidence in front offices and scouting staffs as most.  How could somebody talk to Jamarcus Russell and not realize he was an idiot who was happy just getting his first contract and then was “I’m good”

I saw an article recently about Worthy that claimed the chances are slim that he turns out like John Ross.  He supposedly is a very good route runner with a lot of experience running various routes.  Plus, you can’t coach speed.

The main drawback of him seems to be his small, skinny frame.  The best way to combat press coverage is to play a WR in the slot and/or have him on the move.  We seem to already have a number of guys to play the slot in Samuel, Shakir and Isabella.  They need a big guy.

The Bills were last valued at 3.7 Billion dollars so we only need to come up with 925 million

They should sell shares (like Green Bay) for like $100.  The us Bills fans just need to buy 9.25M shares.  Easy peasey.

Beane traded away 150 targets under contract, and he has a plan.

The Bills will draft a WR with their first pick.

The Bills will pick a WR at 1.28, or move up to pick a WR.

They are not trading back to draft a WR. So they aren’t trading back.

What Beane does with picks in 4th and 5th rounds is how this draft will be remembered. Whatever Beane decides to do with these picks, they will have a MAJOR impact on this team for years to come.

Pick #60 can be BPA for DLine and defensive backfield.

Two more WRs picks in R4 and R5.

Hopefully he can trade a few of those picks to get a 3rd round pick.

I dont think Sunday ticket is something that can just renew.  You pay x amount for the full season. It's not like a monthly subscription.

It used to auto renew with Directv.

His early years were just before my time, but wouldn't OJ qualify?  Statistically, his 1st 3 yrs he was very mediocre (I think he was hurt for one of them).

No, OJ attained success with same team.  It was unfortunate that the brilliant John Rauch decided he would make him a pass receiving RB.  OJ should say thank you to Lou Saban when he sees him up in…oh, wait a minute…

With all due respect…have you seen Beane in the first round?  We are most likely trading up imo. We have the ammo to do it to get a stud to replace diggs

Yes, unless someone puts Beane in a straight jacket so he can’t get to his phone, he gets antsy waiting for picks and will even move up just a couple spots to get the guy he wants.

lol…another 0% chance scenario.  Every thread you’re giving away the farm to get every WR with no consideration for substantial amount of holes on this team.

There is absolutely no chance Beane is trading up TWICE in first 2 rounds for 2 WRs leaving us very little ammo to find the players we need in our secondary and DL as well.  Not to mention another RB and OL depth we are likely going to use some of the day 3 picks on.  And to do so in the deepest and richest WR draft in history is utterly insane.

To get into the mid teens, it’s probably going to cost us our first next year as well without having to gut some of our draft capital this year that we need.  Everyone forgets the other team needs to want to move back to and be worth passing on the talent that will be there at OL, DL, CB, and even the WR for themselves.

I agree with you on the not trading up twice.  Sure, they did it in 2018 to get Josh and Edmunds but they’re already without a 3rd.  I also don’t see our defensive-minded head coach going for WRs with the 1st 2 picks without having that 3rd.

IMO Curtis Samuel will overall be a better WR for this team.  His versatility will allow them to do more things with him.  Whether they move up for a B. Thomas or just stay put and get an A. Mitchell, they can wait until the 4th or beyond to grab a 2nd rookie.  They can also still pick up a decent veteran free agent like DJ Chark to fill out the WR room.
