I guess the flipside is that Beane hit a homerun with Benford in the sixth round...Kinda like the Niners whiffing on Trey Lance, but finding Purdy at the end of round 7...

A lot of people here are talking about “how stacked the AFC is”, but I’m not so sure. The AFC west and south look like garbage outside of KC and Jax, and it looks like the north might not be all that, either. Everyone is talking about the Dolphins, but they barely beat a pretty mediocre Charger team on essentially a neutral field. If the Bills win impressively tonight, they have to be considered the front runner.

We aren’t losing four AFCE games this year, or any year before Josh Allen retires.

I wasn’t suggesting the Bills will get blown out; I think it’s more likely we blow out the Jets. My point is that there seems to be huge variance WRT week one performances. I think a lot of it is related to teams’ reluctance to take training camp and preseason games seriously; playing a bunch of flag football isn’t necessarily the best way to prepare for an NFL opener.

This might be one of the two or three worst regular season losses I’ve ever seen…just a complete disaster…a hated division rival, at home, in a driving rainstorm…

I thought they looked ok on Thursday. A couple of those balls are caught and it’s an easy KC win.
