Way to jump to conclusions 🤨 Beane’s college scout team is as thorough as any teams are. That they took a DT in the 3rd means that player had a higher grade on the Bills board at that time. It’s really quite simple. But given SVP fell further than many anticipated, I believe the Bills lucked out. fyi -a rotational DT is a starter. Lofty expectations, but I’d love to see SVP earn the starting Center -and I think it’s likely.

For all his accolades, Aaron Kromer is still underrated. Morse, McGovern, Brown & Edwards are run of the mill players and Dawkins is overrated, imo. Yet they were among the Leagues best rated units last season. Now, Morse is gone, McGovern is Center (presumably) Edward’s moves up. It’s Kromer’s skill -and Allen’s run & threat to run that makes them seem great. My solution, start Ray Davis at RB. I think he’s already a stud and will excel from the jump. Cook can be the 3rd Down back.As for Defense, I have no idea what we have. There’s no single rush threat from the edge, the Secondary is a mess and Milano’s health is unknown. Bass sucked after signing an extension and I also have no idea what to expect with kickoffs -except that Bass typically knocks them through the other uprights -which will kill us allowing opponents to start at the 40. So, Surprise Surprise! Josh does everything or the Bills will be on the golf courses in Florida after New Year’s Day. 🤷‍♂️

Interesting topic, thank you OP. We've had some doozy’s during the famine and thus deserved to be terrible. I think of all these disaster coaches, Marone would have been most detrimental for Josh. All the other shleppers would have realized quickly what we have in him and committed to providing him players to capitalize on his talents -even Rex. But ‘Moron’ would have been jealous and try to derail him, imo.

I don’t think the Cardinals are a good testing board. They were terrible last year and have tried a complete house cleaning. We’ll have a much better understanding of the Bills after week 2.
