I'm going to go in person. I've noticed that a ticket is just upwards of $7,000 on stubhub - which is cheap at twice the price for someone who is indifferent to both teams at best. I'll check hotels and flights now.

It's actually just a tick under 10 grand when you add in the fees.

When I thought the Bills were going to make it, I bought a round trip flight from Oakland to Las Vegas the day of the game.  I had planned to fly into Oakland on the 9th & return to Albany on the 13th.  I was going to have my sister drop me off for an 8:00-9:30 AM flight to Vegas & pick me up from a 10-11:30 PM flight after the game.  It was the right idea since the flight options went up by about $200 and then sold out by last week, since the 49ers fans were thinking of doing the same thing.  I ended cancelling the flight & up getting a credit that I can use towards a future flight.  At least all I had done was bought the gameday flight.  Last year I had to cancel flights, rental car, motel reservation, & parking.

I was checking out ticket prices & the lowest after fees were in the $9-10k area.  Now I won't be having a 10 grand credit card bill and will have saved around $11k.

I’m not sure what your response to me has to do with my response. Have you ever  heard Jackson needs to be more if a decisive runner to make him a great QB? That’s what I am referring to. Not running styles.

It was a general reply to both your & what you quoted about them running.  Not really a direct reply to either one of you, more just expanding thoughts on the overall topic of both of them as runners.

Lamar is an issue for them.

Elite regular season QB, but he can't perform in the big games against the other elite teams.

We know Josh Allen can.. we just need other parts of the team to have better luck/pull their weight.

Baltimore's issues moving forward are much more glaring.. and everyone knows why, even if they don't want to say it.

Lamar has thrown 2 endzone INTs vs the Bills. The TJ Pick 6 in the playoffs & the 2022 game in Baltimore-both Bills victories.  I was at the game in Baltimore & when the Ravens had 1st & goal around the 5 yard line I turned to a Ravens' fan & said "Even if you score here, we're still going to win the game" Shortly after, Poyer picked Lamar off in the endzone.  Then Josh drove the Bills all the way down the field, ran out the clock & Bass kicked the winning FG.

Then yesterday, another INT in the endzone, killing off 3 or 7 points and being a major factor in them losing the game.

Jackson has 1,600 yards more rushing in his career than Allen does. What difference does “decisive”, whatever exactly that even means, have to do with anything? Seems to me Lamar is pretty top notch when taking off with the football.

I’ve never heard anyone say that Lamar could be unbelievable if he only ran the ball better than he does now. I guess there is a first for everything,

2 totally different styles due their size difference.  Josh takes on tacklers and wants to bulldoze them over.  Jackson is looking to avoid the tacklers & juke them out of their jocks.  Both are very effective runners.

Once again we saw what smart people know, and that's that Allen, Burrow, and Mahomes are the real top 3 QB's in the game

Lamar isn't in their class, and the playoff performances along with the stats bear that out

Another MVP for a guy that is riding his team's defense until he gets outplayed by the Allen's and Mahomes' of the league when it matters most

CJ is knocking on the door & will be let in the room long before Lamar.

  6. Baker Mayfield deserved it but since it would have been a PR nightmare not selecting Damar Hamlin, they gave the real comeback player of the year "Most Improved" even though it was more a comeback to where he was in 2020 than an improvement. He returned to a level from 3 seasons ago & started all the games, just like 2020.

  7. I think of a different scenario. Instead of trading the pick, the Bills draft Mahomes.  The next year Arizona drafts Josh Allen & they are not in the same conference.  With the subtraction of Mahomes in KC and in Buffalo instead, and Allen in the NFC, plus the additional draft choices the Bills would have had in the 2018 draft, do the Bills have one or more Lombardis?  Does Allen get Arizona to any Super Bowls?  Every time KC knocks us out, I feel like we created the monster in KC with the 2017 trade.

True story, had a friend that had a class at VT with Mike Vick, said he never showed up to class until test time, and passed with flying colors

I did that once.  I had a class that was too early in the morning for me to wake up for.  I went to maybe 2 or 3 classes the whole semester.  The day before the final I hadn't read any of the material (est at least 1,500 pages in the books) so I went to the library to read some of the books & quickly realized I was in big trouble. Fortunately, I saw a girl who was in the class & begged her to copy her notebook.  It turned out she had great notes!  I photocopied the notebook (lots of dimes to put into the copier) thanked her, gave her back her notebook, read the notes for about an hour.  Took the final the next day & got a B or B+ on the exam.

  9. Years ago the Bills tried a halfback pass on 4th down & failed.  Some caller called WGR when Chuck "The Coach" Dickerson was doing the postgame show and called the play "4th and stupid"

The faked punt was "4th and stupid II"

until you watch Purdy and Allen play the game of football and quickly realize there’s levels to this QB thing lol.

Another good reason that watching players on the field instead of looking at stats is the proper way to evaluate QBs.  There are certain players who look a lot better on paper than on the field.  My #1 paper tiger is Kirk Cousins.  Looks great on paper & many fall for his stats but comes up small on the field in clutch moments.

I said this many times, but I'll repeat it here: There's a reason players and coaches study videos for hours instead of just having a short meeting, have the coaches hand out stat sheets & announce "Go get 'em boys"

The AFC may not fair well. The AFC is gonna beat the ***** out of each other the next 2 games

KC is a playoff team who will not lay down without fighting. The first game probably still still on their minds and thinking they got robbed and are owed something. They will be out to prove themselves.

Whoever wins this game has to go to Baltimore. The crows in Baltimore are tough. They have an overlooked defense that doesn't break and barely bends. The defense in Baltimore will be at up on the likes of old man Kelce and other chiefs players. By comparison we are a much older team and they won't be kind to the Bills offense.

By the time the AFC gets to the Super bowl they will be playing teams that haven't been tested as much as the AFC and probably be a lot more fresh.

Remember the 1990s when every one of our Super Bowls we lost to a team from the best division in football?  Playing good teams strengthens a team, not weakens a team. When the Bills destroyed the Raiders in January 1991 we all though that we'd cruise vs the Giants, but we forgot the gauntlet the NFL East and the NFC was. I prefer a team that has been winning against the best vs cruising against bums. The AFC has all the class teams.

Think of it as a QB driven league. I'll take Allen, Mahomes, or Jackson over Purdy, Goff, or Mayfield evey day and hour of the week.

Serious question: DO the Bills have to give her a box? I tell her: "Yes, mam, we have a few seats available for you and your party. Would you prefer row 20 in section 316 or a row in the endzone bleachers section? Also, because of the recent snowfall, stadium parking will be sparse. I suggest you get to the Mall early and take one of the shuttle buses over to the stadium. Get there early; you don't want to be stuck in line and miss the kick-off.?"

KC management gets a box or 2.  She's been with Mahomes' wife at the games.  The Bills aren't the ones giving her a box.  If she had to, she could buy into a box making an offer nobody could refuse.  Imagine getting offered a payment of your entire season for 1 day use of your luxury box.  You can even negotiate a few seats behind her.
