  1. Based on what buckeyemike said in an eralier post, I did not realize Bo served under Woody Hayes. No doubt OSU pays tribute tomorrow.
  2. I would be absolutely shocked if OSU does not acknowledge Bo's death. In fact, I bet almost every 1-A game tomorrow does the same. And they should. Bo was a legend in college football. The real bad calss in the UM-OSU thing is the fans...I doubt the OSU coaching staff and administration would say anything bad about the unfortunate passing of Bo.
  3. Wow...wow...man sad news for sure...lived a great life though and was great for college football..RIP Bo. Michigan is going to be one motivated team tomorrow...big time.
  4. so how is the auction going?? Im sorry, but anyone who will pay 4, 5 grand for a game console...needs help
  5. Step away from the XBox, exit out of the trade section of Madden 2007 and get some air
  6. 8 catches 237 yards 2 TD's....wait, is it 1996?
  7. He still has not recovered from the fact the Bills did not sign a stud FA at 12:02am the first day of FA. Give him time.
  8. If most Sabres fans and other NHL fans have not taken notice...Tomas Vanek has arrived (12 goals)....Miro who?
  9. Very good point and I think your approach to handling this insane start by the Sabres is the best one. It is inevitable that the Sabres will hit a wall for a few games...very doubtful this team will keep this pace up or even 75% of what they are doing right now...Ottawa was 15-2 last year at one point but their issues were Hasek got hurt and then the team had no leadership come playoff time. Only concern I have and it is not that big now...is will the Sabres miss guys like McKee and Grier more in April-June then now??? Time will tell, I do not believe they will miss them that much...but it is a slight concern I have. Any updates on Lydman? Miller? Max?
  10. Flashback to November 12th 2005...Sabres lose 6-1 against the Sens in Ottawa....the Sabres fall to 8-9-1 and were in last place in the Northeast Division. Take a look at the recap: OTTAWA (AP) -- The Ottawa Senators made quick work of the Buffalo Sabres -- again. Dany Heatley scored twice to extend his club-record scoring streak to 15 games in the Senators' 6-1 victory over Sabres on Saturday night. Ottawa is 3-0 against Buffalo this season and has outscored the Sabres 21-5, including a 10-4 drubbing in Buffalo on Nov. 2. Daniel Alfredsson has five goals and five assists against Buffalo this season. Buffalo, coming off a 5-2 home win over Toronto on Friday night, has two wins in its last nine game. "When we implode, we really implode," Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said. "We talked about turnovers and then we make two big ones and give them two goals. These guys can finish, so you can't afford turnovers against them." Flash forward to today, 11/15/06, just a shade over 365 days and 80 games later (regular season) the Buffalo Sabres are an astounding 59-16-5, which would be a 123 point season. Also factor in Miller, Briere, and Dumont all missed significant time during the season, so it was not like it has always been smooth sailing on the injury front. Plus the Sabres beat the Sens in 5 games in the EC Semis last year...and already have a 18 point lead on the Sens this year. Man what a difference a year can make!
  11. That is the NYC Metro area in a nutshell
  12. I guess the Jack Daniels bottle you have next to your PC is now half empty??
  13. At this point Im not sure I want to see the Bills do down the road of taking a QB and hoping he becomes good etc...now I am not sure what veteran QB's would be available in FA next year (this assuming JP does not turn things around), but if there is a McNair-type move the Bills can make where they guy they could get would help bring instant stability and leadership to the Bills offense, then I am all for it. That is another major issue IMO with this offense...who on the offense has leadership capabilities? They need to get guys on this offense who have a proven track record of WINNING football games...maybe even getting 1-2 guys like that will prove to be a major difference.
  14. Here is the thing: JP has a strong arm...but yet the Bills coaching staff does not trust his ability to do, really much of anything, which severely limits the Bills offense. If the Bills are going to be so conserative, as nuts as this sounds (and I know KH is NOT the long term answer)...id rather see the dink and dunk of KH who can move the ball and win some more games....KH would be better in that kind of offense versus an inexperienced QB who the coaches do not trust and that HAS to affect JP's confidence.
  15. Let me guess: You are a very close friend of JP and you like to wear tight red shorts
  16. I think almost any OL would look bad in today's NFL if an OC has the QB taking 7-9 step drops and playing the game like it was 1965. I feel bad for those players and especially the QB
  17. If you do not go by blind faith, you are not a real fan remember? (Sarcasm Off) First of all, anyone who had any high expectations for this Bills team this year was drinking way too much Kool-Aid. This team is lacking in leadership, especially on the O side of the ball. IMO the WR's need to be overhauled. Evans is a 1a-2 receiver...not a legitimate #1..if you get Evans another top threat, he would be even better. Give JP the rest of the year, if things do not improve, lets go out and get a veteran QB who can get the job done, who can close out games, who can play with consistency, and also play without making the OC devise a playbook to make sure he does NOT make mistakes, rather a playbook that lets the Bills play to WIN.
  18. NE is playing a real team tonight.
  19. You know what is exposed? The new "ESPN Era" of thinking about sports week to week One week the team is great...the next they were exposed. The Bears are 7-1. So when the Bills in the early 90's were 5-0 and lost at home to Miami, were the Bills exposed then??
  20. Losman...and overrated WR corps...a RB who is inconsistent....general lack of playmakers all over the field...this team is a JOKE Best player on the team is a PUNTER...does anyone realize just how bad that is?????
  21. GladmIm home doing other things then wasting my time on this clueless franchise
