  1. I don't see the skydiving coach going with Cassel as his starter....
  2. I was watching highlights of Winston's first start as a rookie, rough start for the kid (didn't want to start a thread) If I'm not mistaken Mariotta had shaky start too. Anyone watched them live?
  3. Today, he'll practice with Fred's kids, no tackling allowed.
  4. He looks a lot stronger than Levitre. Levitre had trouble anchoring against heavy guys.
  5. I was disappointed with Richardson the few times I noticed him, he pulled on one play and should have destroyed the LB/S, instead he was stopped in his tracks and so was the run play. With hi size, he should have buried the LB. He needs to believe he will destroy the other guy. Miller was fast when he pulled and was key for a particular run play go for a couple extra yards. Very solid in pass pro, although the Panthers were missing Star Lotulelei.
  6. It is as if people don't want to remember the scrimmage happened, a scrimmage that Rex deemed very important in the QB decision. If you look at EJ's performance again on that scrimmage on the second play he audibles at the line and hits Harvin for a 25 yard gain. Then, later, he steps up in the pocket by avoiding the rush, in a similar fashion as last night, and he throws a TD to Bryce Brown in the red zone. Then Roman appears on radio saying that the starting QB will be the one that can take the offense out of bad situations by knowing the playbook. I bet EJ plays with the 2s gainst Cleveland and then Cassel follow with the 3rd group. Then EJ starts in the 3rd game.
  7. He was burned some but some of the thows were perfect by the Panthers Qbs.
  8. All three QBs looked good tonight. I didn't like Cassel throwing short to Shady on third down but he showed what we all expected. Tyrod was unstoppable running the ball, very quick and smart to know when to go down. Could have had six had Thompson didn't drop one. Previous to the Karlos TD, I thought he could have had a TD to Gray, but opted to take off and run. Only bad thing was the offense turning it over on downs. EJ had a fine night. Two bad throws and a beautiful TD, avoiding the rush, reseting his feet and throwing it on the money to Thompson. Two bad snaps and two drops are not his fault.
  9. that's life in message boards.
  10. You'll regret this thread eball unless you use it as a reversed jinx thread when EJ is named the starter.
  11. damn, "we do not stream this station outside of U.S. or Canada"
  12. I agree, here are some interesting numbers. In 10 years in the league, Cassel helped his teams win in 33 games out of 71 with an avg. of 0.464. with 95 TDs scored (combined) and with 105 turnovers (70 ints & 35 fumbles lost) We can all agree that both the Patriots and Chiefs were good, solid teams. In two years, EJ Manuel helped his team win in 6 out 14 games, that is a 0.428 avg. with 19 TDs scored (combined) and 16 turnovers (12 ints & 4 fumbles lost) I don't really see how he can be deemed the realiable starter, the safe bet as they say, when there's 10 year data that concludes that he is less than average as a starting NFL QB. The good news regarding Cassel (and all QBs actually) is that he has shown improvements the last couple of practices, lets hopè he can continue this upward trend, I will support him fully is he's named the starter.
  13. unlike you and Geno, EJ is not a douche.
  14. Funny thing about consistency regarding QB play, is that all three QBs on the roster are not consistent. The 10 year vet would still be in Kansas City as the starter if he had shown consistency with Todd Haley. The Baltimore Ravens would have obtained a juicy draft pick had the slash QB shown something against 2nd stringers backing up Flacco. The good news about the situation here is that all three QBs are getting better under Roman's tutelage (that includes long term QB project, Manuel, who has shown improvement compared to last year TC) It was clear from that interview that Roman will play to the strenghts of whoever wins the competition and that is all that we can ask for.
  15. I'll check it out, thanks.
  16. Is there a link to Roman interview?
  17. You know that #35 will fumble and tomorrow will be 34......
  18. What, now I'm the mentalist of the MB?
  19. LOL, I'm never sure when I write his surname. I have a feeling I won't fuct it up next time.
  20. No matter how overpaid we think Cassell is, he is the one with 68 starts under his belt. EJ and TT can be considered vets but their experience on the field is far from ideal. We can't go into the season without a guy that has seen it before and that could relate with young QBs like a coach might no be able to.
