  1. Top 10 back? Let's take the subjectivity out of this. Back up your claim with some numbers. Hope you have a lot of time on yourt hands. You'll be digging for a while. When you find the supporting data, call Drew Rosenhaus. He's gonna need your research to get his client a big contract.
  2. Your avatar and your posts are in perfect concert with each other. Well done. I'm sure that requires a lot of practice.
  3. If it were cool or hip to be a kicker, blacks would dominate those positions also.
  4. If it were cool or hip to be a kicker, blacks would dominate those positions also.
  5. Very good. The first step toward solving a personal problem is admitting you have one.
  6. Yes, if the forecast is that he leaves as a free agent after '07 then the Bills need to groom a replacement next year. Otherwise you're counting on the following year draft or free agency. RB not a good place to have a question mark.
  7. Yes, Lionel Gates looked good. Ran hard and low with good quickness. Must have been something the coaches didn't like that caused them to keep Shaud Williams.
  8. Well you're missing a huge difference. The Bills were that bad in '05 after TD was at the helm for 5 years. He took over a bad team and left a bad team. He had 5 drafts, 5 years of free agency and 80 games to make improvement. He didn't. That's why he's gone. So for Marv has taken over a bad team and managed 1 draft and 1 free agent period. He's 9 games into his GM career. A little soon to judge or make the comparison.
  9. I see a pattern here.
  10. There was optimism at the beginning of the season. A new coaching staff and GM. Some promising rookies and free agent signings along with a new attitude. JP winning the starting job. If the Bills managed to beat the Patriots in the opener and Detroit or even Indy this past week they would be in the hunt for the division lead. Nice try, but even with those victories this team is not ready to compete with the best teams in the league. Not enough talent or experience among the players and a first year coaching staff. A false sense of security. They could be a team like the Chiefs, sniffing near the playoffs but going nowhere. The Bills should have some questions answered by the end of the season. A lot of young guys playing and a few older guys playing. The front office will know better then where the holes are and who among the young players might fill some of those holes next year - or not. For example, Duke Preston could be starting for the rest of the season. Should have a good read on him by the end of the year. He hasn't played much. Will Terrence Pennington get better? Will Larry Tripplett step up his game? Can Jason Peters be a good left tackle? JP and the entire receiving corps? Kyle Williams? Can TKO regain his previous form and health? The young guys in the secondary. In addition to a better draft position, It's better if the front office and coaching staff knows how bad this team is and is left without the false sense of security that a near playoff birth season might provide. Better to lick your wounds and create a heightened sense of urgency. Where I do think this hurts is in recruiting potential free agents. For me I'll watch the remaining games hoping to see a lot of fight in this team and the emergence of some of the young guys into starting caliber players. The Bills have learned how bad they are in the first half, now let's see who responds and how.
  11. Only half a year. Hang in there. We might learn something before this season is over.
  12. Perfect coverage would have been turning around a half-second faster and knocking the ball down. He was guilty of the same error on another pass play in the game, but to be fair, no corner plays every down perfect.
  13. The roughing the kicker call was horrible. Running into the kicker, maybe. Roughing, no way. Take a look at it. Basically the punter landed on top of him.
  14. I say no. Anthony Thomas ran as well as we've seen Willis run this year.
  15. I don't think so. I think the coaches know that the offensive line can't protect him. Did you see the 4 sacks today? He had no chance on those. Sacked 4 out of 17 called pass plays. That's roughly 25%. That's very bad and I think any QB back there gets sacked 4 times today. 9 for 13 passing ain't bad. I think the plan was to run since Indy's defense is statistically weak there and since the coaches know the line can't pass block. The play calling was just too conservative to beat this team IMO. Good enough to keep it close, but close isn't good enough.
  16. That many of you would spend so much time on this board and following pro wrestling is embarrassing - for you. Get a life. flame away, I don't care.
  17. Put the ball in Brian Moorman's hands.
  18. Terrific work, and thank you for taking the time to do this. Probably the best info posted here on the subject of JP. Some non-fiction for a change.
  19. Well, this will make for some interesting conversation between the two of them at the dinner table. Wonder if he's sleeping on the couch?
  20. Could be. Many of them are in the closet.
  21. No but most people betting the Colts will.
  22. I still think the bigger problem for the Bills is lack of a strong running game. At 3.8 YPC they rank in the bottom 1/3 of the league. It would be interesting to rank each team's QB rating in order of running game (YPC from top to bottom). My guess is that there is a meaningful relationship between a strong running game and passer rating.
  23. Agree with you. The Bills are rebuiding. We might not like that, but that's the way it is. No sense in getting old vets on the downside of their careers just to win an extra game or two and still miss the playoffs. Bills aren't going to be winners this year or maybe even next year. Need to give these youngs guys more time and give the front office another off season or two to improve the roster.
