  1. I hope not. At #11 you need to go defense. I know they have spent some money there this offseason. They need to reinforce at corner and need depth at D-Line.
  2. The Steelers won a SuperBowl without having a starter that had played for another team. What the Colts did is far more impressive considering free agency.
  3. Why not? Just have Erie County send Ralph another wellfare check
  4. What running backs? Williams and Thomas? Not even the Denver or SD lines can turn those two into a running game. The Bills need to find a starting running back at some point. If not the draft then after the mid summer cuts.
  5. Not only did he miss most off all last season. He also was injured in his senior season. Since Oct 2005 he has only played in 5 games. Which is two major season ending injuries in 6 games. To expect McCargo to suddenly be healthy is a bit foolish at this point. If he can come back and last more then a few games? Great. Consider it a bonus. I do have to say one good thing about Youboty. Starting him at corner will help the Bills pathetic run defense. With a shell shocked McGee on one corner and a rookie who wasn't even good enough to dress (Forget playing. He wasn't even good enough to dress.) on the other corner? Teams would be airing it all season against the Bills.
  6. What can I say. Apu has had a man crush on me for some time. Back to the topic. Polian worked with some guys named John Butler, AJ Smith and Dwight Adams. You may have heard of them. Marv is not and has never been a personnel guy.
  7. I know what you mean. To say that Marv somehow drafted Thurman Thomas is "loony".
  8. How many games did he dress for? Somehow he goes from not good enough to dress to being a starter in the NFL?
  9. The Bills are not going to spend the kind of money it would take to sign the #2 overall. There is a better chance they would drop down from #12 to save some money.
  10. Did his thumb ever heal? I think 'The Big Cat' and 'Iron' Mike Sharpe hold the world record for the worlds slowest healing times.
  11. Do you advocate filling a need or taking the best player? I also have to question if the Bills have a #1 corner. McGee got lit up all season. He looked tired and over matched most Sundays. Teams targeted him.
  12. There is no assurances that Youboty will even make the opening day roster. He didn't show anything last season that would guarantee him a spot this season. The Bills have a lot holes to fill. RB, MLB, DT, CB & a #2 WR to play across Evans are all huge needs for the Bills. The Bills might be better off just going with the best player available. If it's a corner? Pick the corner.
  13. You can find a better back in the mid rounds than Chris Brown. Except for the very top level of running backs (maybe three or four backs) they have become a dime a dozen.
  14. How can anyone compete with such intelligent responses as this. Who knew Tim Hardaway was such a big Bills fan.
  15. You failed to read the initial question. Are the Bills "now" a playoff team. Which is what my response was based on. Today March 3rd the Bills defense is not as good as it was at the end of the 2006 season. They have lost some major pieces. Even if Marv Levy has a great off season he may not be able to fill every Bills need. I would think you agree that the after O-line the run defense is the Bills greatest concern. I'm not sure if the answers to these concerns are even available in free agency or the draft.
  16. No thoughts on the Bills run defense? I didn't think so.
  17. This team was 28th against the run. Tripplet is too small to be effective. McCargo is useless. I thought Fletcher was also too small but he is no longer a problem. Picking up the O-lineman is nice. But unless they play both sides and are run stuffers? The will playoffs remain a pipe dream.
  18. Wow! I step away from the board a few days and so many are trying to take my place. Funny thing is I like the Bills moves so far. They are investing money in the offensive line. It's a far cry from signing Tuten Reyes.
  19. As much as I despise Marv I can't find any complaints thus far. I will try though. They seem to be doing a much better job this off season addressing the offensive line. They have lost a lot thus far in the off season. Replacing Clements will not be easy and hurt the defense which already has huge holes. They need to plug the middle by finding a run stuffing MLB and by finding a replacement for Tripplet.
  20. Sorry Apu! Any GM that can turn Peerless Price into a first round pick doesn't deserve to be on anyone's "Worst List" IMO. Considering how much love there is on this board for Loseman and Evans you can't ignore the fact that they are here because of TD. For every Mike Williams type player there are three or four quality guys including Aaron Schobel. Actually all the difference makers the Bills have are a result of TD. So give the devil his due. TD's worst draft and FA signings are better than the current Admin's effort of a year ago.
  21. No way! Polian has done it with three teams. The Bills, Panthers (as an expansion team) and the Colts. Polian and Pioli are the top of the list. Anyone else would be a step below.
  22. That's the great thing about imagination. Even the silliest of dreams are possible.
  23. Even if Loseman reimbursed the county for the $3.5 million wellfare check they handed Ralph I still wouldn't waste the time of putting him under center.
  24. Are football players insured like other pro athletes?
