  1. No, really. That is the worst song ever, and I mean EVER written/recorded. Ever.
  2. Man, it's incredible how just about everyone that's posted here has at least one thing or another to B word and moan about. 10-6 Go Biils!
  3. Jeez, mine is probably the worst song ever written/recorded.
  4. All good stories, guys. Well done. I'm personally most proud of moving the family to the other side of the world to begin a new life in paradise. It was by far the hardest thing I've ever done. Quit a good solid job... Sold the house... Sold the cars... Sold everything we owned... Said goodbye to all of our loved ones and everything we knew. Packed up our 5 and 2 year olds and set off into the unknown with just a suitcase each. Now, seven years later, I couldn't imagine having not done it. Go Bills!
  5. I think you may have nailed it.
  6. You couldn't understand the point I was trying to convey? OK, I'll type this a little slower for you. Take a look at a sample of some of the newer stadiums and arenas that have been built around the US. Feel free to include some of the older venues that have been recently remodelled. I would wager to bet that you'll find that the majority, if not all, of these venues have a lot more "luxury" or "corporate" boxes, or suites than what The Ralph has. (didn't even The Ralph have a remodel in recent years that took away seats for these types of boxes?) You may personally not believe that WNY has the corporate power to buy these such suites, but I guarantee you that this logic won't stop RW Jr and the NFL from trying to suck as much profit from the local community as possible . It's the American way.
  7. Just look at all the other new stadiums that have been built.
  8. Exactly. They want taxpayer funded stadiums that have more corporate luxury boxes that they can charge bucketloads for. The luxury boxes take up space, so there are fewer "regular" seats, so... according to supply and demand... they can charge more for each regular seat. Each step of the way, the average taxpayer/football-fan gets screwed. Yet, so many people just love the idea of these new stadiums.
  9. I'll probably get crucified for saying this, but... I think anyone would have to be out of their f'ing minds to support having a taxpayer funded stadium built. Don't get me wrong. I love the Bills and hope and pray that they'll always be successful and stay in Buffalo. However; this talk about a new stadium just seems to me that peoples priorities are way out of whack up there. I could be incorrect on my assumptions, since I haven't lived in the region for over 20 years, but I thought Western New York was really struggling financially. Is this not the case? Don't you think hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayers dollars could be spent on something better?? For those that say that an idea like this would revitalize downtown Buffalo... I just don't see how 8 home games could make this happen. Go Bills.
  10. Character is a very important attribute for me. I couldn't image ever rooting for a team full of millionaire a-holes.
  11. Not good. I've heard about these types of systems for years now in the US. Scary
  12. Have I won yet?
  13. I totally agree with you. I was a huge stooges fan when I was growing up and hated the idea of this remake. That being said, I thought the trailer was great. Like you, I thought the actors totally nailed the impersonations. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Go Bills!
  14. Hey, thanks for that! Interesting comment on our health system here is NZ. I really don't know what they could be referring to other than ithe fact that it's totally free. (yeah that's right you right-wingers up there... NZ has great universal healthcare. Now only for us residents, but for anyone visiting. If ANYONE experiences any sort of accidental injury, it's paid for. No problem) Yeah, whale rider was a very good movie, but it didn't really show anything of our scenery as it was filmed in the far north where theres really not that much happening. At least The Lord of the Rings showed some of our mountainous areas. C'mon down sometime... We'd love to have you! Go Bills!
  15. Good timing for this question as I just ordered something I certainly don't "need" but was so cool, I couldn't pass it up. As my log in name suggests... I live in New Zealand. (I'm originally from outside of Rochester) Anywho... My wife and I just bought a house on an incredible piece of land overlooking Tasman Bay and the mountains beyond, in Nelson NZ. It's an old house that's gonna need a LOT of work. but the potential is there. One of the first things we want to build is a big deck off the back which overlooks the sea. There's a lighthouse in the view and ships pass back and forth, making me always scramble for my binoculars to take in the view. That being said, I was looking on line for a proper telescope that I could keep out in the back sun room. During my Internet searches, I stumbled on this... http://www.hispyviewing.com/category/special-offers/ Yeah, it's an authentic "viewer" that used to look over Niagara Falls. It's a totally frivolous purchase, but my wife and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to have such an iconic thing from "home" to be placed on the new deck. It's on the boat as I type this and should arrive sometime next week! Oh, and my Triumph 1050 Tiger is something that I don't "need", but couldn't imagine living without. Go Bills!
  16. I totally agree with you. I'm all for anything that is "pro Bills/Buffalo/WNY", but the term "Bills Mafia" sounds really really lame.
  17. Now this is totally weird. I'm sitting here on the couch, skimming through TBD on my iPod while the TVs on. The exact second that I open up this news story with the photo of batman by his car, the tv show cuts in to a news break and shows the exact same photo on TV. Weird. (don't forget that I live in New Zealand) What a coincidence. Go Bills!
  18. Thanks for that guys. Let's go Buffalo!!
  19. Sorry if I'm being thick, but are you guys saying that the Sabres have always done this? I had no idea!
  20. Really?? Man, that sounds weird. Do you remember when they started that? What's next, the Russian, Swedish and Czech anthems too? Go Sabres
  21. Hey I have a question about the Sabres. I was listening to the Sabres/Wild game over the Internet this weekend. At the beginning of the game, when it was time for the national anthem, they played both the US anthem AND the Canadien anthem. Why would they play the Canadien one? I've been out of the states for years now, but remember that they would only play the Canadien one if they were playing a team from there. What gives?? Go Sabres!
  22. This is the way they do it in rugby down here, and it works great.
