  1. This country is in deep trouble. We need something new. Anybody who watched that speech and was not impressed is either lying to him/herself, or totally insane. The guy has accomplished more with his short life than anybody I have ever met. I have quite a few friends who are republicans and I think they are very intelligent. I don't know much about politics, apparently. All I know is that gas is triple what it was when GW took over, the deficit is ridiculous, we are fighting a war we shouldn't have started, and I make less money now than I did 8 years ago. If that makes GW a great president, then so be it. I think it's time to give somebody else a chance. McCain is insane, I think his first day in office he would push a button and make Vietnam go away.

Am I insane because I'm not impressed that Obama can read a speech? If you want to heap praise on somebody, find the guy who actually came up with the script. We'll see how he does without somebody telling him what to say.

  2. LOL..poor guy...he used to date a girl from East Rochester...some of you might remember her....Julie Lynn Cialini...Playboy Playmate...94 or 95 I think it was..I sold her a insert card of Jim's when I bumped into her at a card shop in Webster..she was putting together a book of all his insert rookie cards..

I ran into the two of them with Julie's parents at a pizza shop in East Rochester one day. My Co-worker went to high school with Julie and she introduced Drunkenmiller to us. He seemed like a real a$$ and she is not nearly as hot without the airbrushing. (still hot obviously)

  3. I think the Bose speakers you guys have been getting must have been spelled: 'BOWS"

There is a reason BOSE doesn't provide frequency response data with their speaker systems. BOSE has a very high WAF (wife acceptance factor) which helps sales too. If they were 1/3 the current price, they would be a fine little speaker system.

  4. Reading comprehension ! He is recommending Bose to cover up the holes only, not to use as outlets for sound.

Seriously, to the OP, is your decision to go in-walls purely based on the need to cover up the holes ? You might want to patch the holes and go with towers for the front, bookshelfs for the rear and a good subwoofer. Some research on AVS forum will do you a lot of good. If you decide to stay with the in-walls, try these (have a 30-day money back guarantee): HTD in-walls

In that case I have heard that BOSE hole covers outperform all other hole covers! The funny thing is, they could probably come up with a marketing strategy that would convince people to buy their revolutionary hole covers!

No highs, no lows, must be BOSE.

  5. Go with BOSE as mentioned before cover the holes and use stand mounted speakers, this way you can rearrange your room and the speakers. Dont forget a center channel and the almighty subwoofer.

Never go with BOSE! You can get much better quality at a much lower price. BOSE is a marketing firm that dabbles in audio.

Check out audioholics.com for some great advice and reviews.

  6. Looks pretty solid. RB might be the weakest position but your receivers will definitely help carry your team. As much as I love all the Bills, Lindell isn't usually a particularly good fantasy option.

In our league, we can choose to play only 1 RB. The other RB position is RB/WR. I think I may actually play an extra WR in most cases. Lindell was my last pick after the few kickers worth a higher pick were already taken. I may just pick up a kicker each week that has a favorable matchup. Same with defense.

  7. WR's are stacked obviously. Burress always gets taken earlier than I want to take him, but it looks like you got him late 4th, which is fine. I like that you went for youth and upside with your bench WR's.

RB's are what they are for the most part - I don't really blame you for not reaching on one with the 2nd/3rd round picks and getting a pair of top 10 WR's instead. Depending on who was available in the 3rd I would've considered a QB like Romo/Brees/Palmer; and I'm a big AJ guy. As is your QB's are ok, but there's not enough firepower for a 10team league to overcome an injury to Peterson.

I drafted last because I won the league last year. We had 2 keepers and Romo, Brees, Brady, and Manning were all gone before my first pick. At least if Peterson goes down, I have Chester Taylor. A Peterson injury would be tough to overcome though!

  8. QB:

    Derek Anderson

    John Kitna

    Trent Edwards

    RB:

    Adrian Peterson

    Fred Taylor

    Chester Taylor

    Jonathan Stewart

    Julius Jones

Ray Rice (for when Mcgahee gets hurt or tired)

    WR:

    Larry Fitzgerald

    Andre Johnson

    Plaxico Burress

    Anthony Gonzalez

    Sidney Rice

    James Hardy

    TE:

    Jeremy Shockey

    Kevin Boss

    DEF/ST:

    Buffalo

    K:

    Rian Lindell

  9. I thought this was a thread about Roadhouse when you asked about a cooler movie. Sam Elliot was the best cooler in the business!

Some great lines in that classic!

    Dalton: Pain don't hurt

    Steve: Being called a !@#$ isn't personal?

Dalton: No. It's two nouns combined to elicit a prescribed response.

Steve: What if somebody calls my mama a whore?

    Dalton: Is she?

  10. I like to start the morning off by getting to the lot around 8:30, and quickly cracking open that first cold Blue. The grills gets fired up right away, and bacon and eggs get on it and are ready to be the first meal devoured by 9 oclock. Then we mix in some more beers, football, beer pong, and flip cup along with the Pre-Game show and/or some classic rock blaring in the background. Around 11 the grill is put to use again, for some Grade-A Strips and some Sahlens Dogs. Rounds of shots generally come around this time forward, along with some more of the favorite tailgate past times as far as games go. Finally, around 12:25 or so, begin to head up to the Ralph with no doubt in my mind that we are going to beat whoever we are playing on that given Sunday (Or Monday!). :w00t: LOT 2 POLE 6!

The only thing wrong with your routine is that you get to the lot a half hour late!

  11. I am a fan of the classic- tossing the football around. Running around in the Bills parking lots since the age of 7, it was hard back then to imagine that now at the age of 30, I would be winded and my shoulder would be sore after about 10 tosses...

Beer pong is always solid and does less damage to the shoulder, that'd be my #2.

Washer game is #3, followed closely by an option not included: Flip Cups.

I am not a hunter, but I love when hunting season rolls around and some of the boys have FRESH BACKSTRAPS to throw on the grill...MMMMMMM...Marinate in Italian dressing over night, toss on the grill, and enjoy the magical taste of Bambi

I have a big venison tenderloin vacum sealed in the freezer waiting for opening day at the Ralph. I only got one deer this past season and I had to save the best part for the most special occasion of the year! (I prefer Speidie sauce marinade though)

  12. Keep talking, it just makes it clear how dumb you truly are. You rooted for someone to get hurt. I don't care for the reason is. It is a scumbag thing to do. I don't care if it was a player on the Dolphins or Jets, much less someone on the Bills. You're a loser.

And your the !@#$ing idiot should actually be you're the !@#$ing idiot, Einstein.

I agree with you that cantstopthebeastmode is an idiot, but man do I love the "your the idiot" posts.

  13. Bolded for the truth.

#2 - Know the water. Get a chart.

Too many rookies kill their props, shafts, lower units, etc., because they don't know the body of water that well. Get a chart, study it, use it.

    You said shaft.

  14. Phelps is unbelievable, and holds the majority of the world records in his events, but a world record from 2007 is dated in swimming at the moment.

It is supposedly a very fast pool, and the swimsuit (namely the Speedo TYR, I think its called) are making previous swimming records obsolete. There are races where the guy finishing in 5th place is breaking the previous world record.

That's not to take anything away from Phelps, because everyone is swimming faster and he's still the fastest. But, there are plenty of other variables other than just being a better swimmer than the previous world record holder.

I see what you are saying, but the same thing would apply in his golf reference. Club and ball technology improves constantly.

  15. I think the problem is the huge number of medals available to a swimmer as compared to another athlete. Phelps may be one of the best swimmers ever, I have no doubt about that. But 11 medals in 2 olympics are only available to a select few sports, and the media has utterly and completely gotten on the "how many shiny things can we look at at once" bandwagon.

Say there was olympic golf, for arguments sake. I'm going to bet that Tiger Woods would dominate that, because he is easily one of the greatest athletes in the history of sports. But, he'd still just win 1 gold medal, and to people who count the medals they'd say Phelps is a superior athlete. Make no mistake about it, the hype around Phelps is because of medal count. Other athletes could be just as dominant in their sport, but if they were only able to win 1, they wouldn't get the coverage.

It is not just his medal count, he keeps breaking WORLD RECORDS every time he swims. That means he is swimming faster than anyone ever has. If Tiger hit the greatest shot the world has ever seen at every hole, then sure he would be right up there with Phelps.

  16. One major problem with the Harmony is that it has to communicate with their servers when you're setting it up -- meaning Logitech (the company that makes the remote) has access to know every peice of electronics you own in your house to use for marketing research. You can't download an application and use it standalone on your PC from what I've read.

I prefer Home Theater Master - it takes a bit more work to setup, but doesn't violate privacy rights and is actually much more flexible if you want to customize things better.

But that little remote is like part of my family now. I don't know what I would do if she died! There would be weeks of mourning.

  17. Here I go hijacking the thread to and getting it moved to the consumer forum...

I have a question about the Harmony remotes. I have a DirecTV HD Box, Samsung Receiver W/DVD Player and surround sound. When I turn on the Receiver to watch TV sometimes the sound is out put out of the television and I have to push a few buttons to get the surround sound going. Do you think the Harmony remote would solve this problem or be handcuffed by this problem?

The Harmony remote would probably handle that. I have not come across any scenario with my home theater that the remote can not control. It walks you through an online setup and asks all pertinent questions for sound output and settings.

  18. No it's not, going to Dairy Queen with a gun makes you a giant douche, and hijacking a thread about a horrible crime in a Canada to spout off about American gun politics makes you the biggest douche.

Show me any of your previous posts where you talk about this horrible crime? It looks to me like the only thing you have done is "spout off about gun politics" yourself. It's amusing how oblivious you are to the hypocrisy of your accusation.
