  1. It is not just the draft though. It is the whole day of festivities. I go golfing every saturday morning. We get the 1st tee time & usually tee off around 6am. So I will go golfing, be home by 9:30, take a little nap, then I will take the little guy to his soccer game at noon, be home by 2:30 & start cracking the beers. I will put $50 on a few NHL & NBA playoff games. Flip back & forth on those during the draft. Maybe tune into see how the Mets are doing. A few of my friends will stop over. I will play a little mini basketball with the little guy down in the clubhouse(that is what me & my son call the basement) all while watching some good sports during the duration of the day & yes the draft although tedius at times is must see tv. Where else are you going to get your football fix in April???? Add in some good grilling over the course of the day(Im going to be doing burgers in the afternoon along with shrimp kabobs, taco dip, stuffed mushrooms, baby back ribs for lunch/appetizers & lobster tails & strip steaks at night). I have 5 friends that are coming over. Cap off the day by building a bonfire at night & it is a pretty good way to spend a saturday in late April. So as you could see, it is not just watching the draft, it is the culmination of golfing, spending quality fun time with the little guy, boozing, gambling, eating excellent food & watching quality sports on the plasma tv.

Watch out! Kgun will not be happy with this effort to "trump" him. Apparently he is very sensitive to descriptive posts about draft plans in threads about draft day plans.

  2. My wife knows that Sundays during football season are off limits unless somebody dies...And it better be a CLOSE family member or I'm just sending a card. I haven't missed a Bills home game in 6 years and would like to keep that streak alive for many more seasons (the Toronto game does not count!). Usually she goes to the home opener and brings some friends. They don't sit with us because our section is full and they keep themselves occupied. I have to bring a crappy spare grill because one of the girls is a vegetarian and I will not let a veggie burger touch the nice tailgate grill.

  3. Sending the wife to Florida for the weekend and having some friends over. The menu includes wings in the fryer, venison tenderloin (saved it for a special occasion, the other tenderloin is for opening day), and High Life on tap. Just hooked up the Directv in the garage so I can smoke cigars and keep watching NFL channel. 50' HD inside with Kipers annoying comments in Surround, and 36' in the garage. Should be a good day!

  4. I know...Chad has a big mouth etc...but the guy is a legit #1 WR...imagine Chad, Evans, and Lynch and an offense that is now Fairchild free, and the Bills offense will become a Top 15 offensive unit.

Ocho Cinco brings some other things to the table:

    1. Personality: If I am looking at this from a business standpoint, it gives my franchise some relevance, better talent, and a personality that can only help my franchise sell more tickets and jerseys. PR is big for business. No matter how much we hate ESPN for hyping other teams and ignoring Buffalo, that will not happen with Chad in the fold.

    2. Production: No denying what he can do on the field, and the ripple effect will be great...makes Lee that much better, Parrish etc...opens things up for the running game because defenses will not be able to stack the box against Lynch.

    3. Instant Impact: Sure, the Bills can draft a WR at 11. Generally, WR's do not produce right away, and Jauron and the Bills are at a point where a move needs to be made to get into the Top 6. If the Bills can trade a 2nd for Chad as an example, that #11th pick can be used on a guy like Derrick Harvey to improve the D-line. Win Win situation for the Bills.

    Make it happen Brandon!!!

Are you by any chance eating the mulch instead of spreading it?

  5. http://www.bradycampaign.org/facts/faqs/?page=awb

Q: What is the difference between semi-automatic hunting rifles and semi-automatic assault weapons?

A: Sporting rifles and assault weapons are two distinct classes of firearms. While semi-automatic hunting rifles are designed to be fired from the shoulder and depend upon the accuracy of a precisely aimed projectile, semi-automatic assault weapons are designed to maximize lethal effects through a rapid rate of fire. Assault weapons are designed to be spray-fired from the hip, and because of their design, a shooter can maintain control of the weapon even while firing many rounds in rapid succession.

Apparently thiss person never hip fired any gun, as 'control' is something that will not come to the forefront of your mind if you have.

The ban is nothing more than a way for slimebags like Clinton to seem anti-gun. Wat the ban really does is not allow a few kinds of guns to be manufactured, and a few features to be banned (flash suppressors, etc).

You have always been able to buy an assault rifle, as they were never made illegal. The ban did nothing more than prevent newer ones from being made. You can still buy a pre-ban TEC9, Steyr Aug, or AR-15 at any gun show. So if some dolt feels safer because of this ban it's only due to the fact that they are ill-informed or mildly retarded.

By the way, if you made ownership of all of these illegal tomorrow, guess who would still have them? (Hint: criminals)

Firing from the hip....Who would have guessed that the Brady bunch would help me become a better shooter with my AR. All these years I've been wasting time aiming!

  6. I parked and strolled towards a store, and noticed a spiffy vehicle with "trick" wheels and vanity plates parked in a handicap spot - with no handicap parking permit. The stars must be in favorable alignment today; a police cruiser was passing by, so I hailed it and informed the officer.

Exiting the store, I saw the ticket on the cur's vehicle. Now - if the person has a permit, and forgot to display it, no problem...the ticket gets voided. If not...GUILTY!

That's great. Idiots who park in handicapped spots without a handicap is a huge pet peeve of mine. The convenience store I stop at on my way to work always has someone who "will only be in there for a minute". I'm sure they think I'm an a-hole for telling them that they are in a Handicapped spot, but I feel a little better after pointing out how lazy and inconsiderate they are.

  7. Like Cincy just said.. I've got a junk battery TV that I use whenever a tornado rapes Georgia. That happens once or twice each spring, so it's a nice to have. I had just been planning on picking up a $50 digital one whenever I happen to see one, but if Uncle Sam's going to cut that bill down to $10? Well, sign me up for Government Converter Box Stamps!

Edit.. screw that. I've been trying to talk the wife into letting me spend stupid money on a generator for years. I feel as though the proper opportunity to finally convince her has just shown up....

If you use the generator once, it is money well spent! Mine sits in the garage for all but a few days a year and when the electricity goes out I allow my neighbors to plug in for the frig and sump pumps and gain popularity points. I can run my TV, frig, sump pump, and a few lights with out any problems. Just make sure you change the oil frequently.

  8. I didn't go to Fairport schools until 7th grade, but my brother and step-son both went to Northside & Dudley.

Depending on how well behaved your brother and step-son were, they may have known my uncle, he was Principal at Dudley for many years.

  9. Hey, I was born in, work in, and am buying a house in Fairport; not Pittsford. Jay Rubeo, he's the elitist.

p.s. Thanks for the avatar!

My dad is a teacher in Fairport and my uncle was a Principal. Did you go to grade school there?

MADRID, Spain — Seven middle-aged Spanish moms who posed for a tongue-in-cheek erotic calendar — a fundraiser for their children's tiny, rural school — are now saddled with debt and 5,000 unwanted copies.

One of the photos shows the mothers with Christmas tinsel as their only garb — no private parts on view. Other goofy poses include a shotgun-toting mom wearing only a fox pelt kneeling on a table, and another with a mother covering her body with a red umbrella on a picnic table.

The photos came out as calendars in November and at first proved to be a big hit. But the plan backfired.

The women acknowledge being rank amateurs in publishing and advertising, and because of a miscue with a distributor they missed out on the Christmas shopping rush. Now, sales of the euro5 (US$8) calendar have dried up and they owe a printer nearly euro10,000 (US$16,000).

"The sad part for us is figuring out what to do with them because it is not something you can recycle," said Rosa Garin, 36, one of the models in Serradilla del Arroyo, a village of 400 people in northern Salamanca province.

If your village has 400 people, why do you order 5000 copies of a novelty calendar that only people who have ties to the community could possibly want?

At least they still have their dignity!

  11. You would rather she took an extremist view of no gun restrictions or a total ban instead of a moderate position? That makes sense. <_<

I hope you are not delusional enough to think that Hilldog is "moderate" on gun control. There is a reason she has been enemy #1 of the NRA and gun owners across the country. Just because she kissed some hunter ass this week, doesn't erase her past anti-gun stance.

  12. She never said she was an avid or recent hunter, she just said she learned to shoot and hunted with her father when she was younger and shot a duck. And she has been consistant in advocating gun control such as the Brady bill, background checks, and trying to get handguns off the street. She hasn't advocated any bans on guns used for hunting. You can disagree with her call for gun control, but she has been consistant in her position.

I could be mistaken, but I am almost positive she has fought to ban semi-auto guns, most of which are hunting guns. Many people hunt with handguns too.

She has been consistant though...consistantly one of the biggest enemies to hunters and gun owners! Oh wait, she is now one of us, so I guess that blows your consistancy argument out of the sky (just like that poor innocent duck she shot)

  13. http://www.reuters.com/article/vcCandidate...663122020080217

Apparently us redneck gun-owning hunters are OK when you need to win a primary. I wonder if the gun shops will be taking down all the anti-Hillary stuff now that she is a fellow hunter? She is one of biggest enemies of gun owners in the country and has been for years. Anyone who is concerned enough about gun rights to consider a candidate's stance when voting will not be swayed by her sudden change of heart. I can't wait to see how this blows up in her face. When a reporter asked her how long it has been since she shot a gun, her answer was "that's not relevant". Since she supposedly shot a banded duck, does that mean there is a record of that kill somewhere? She is truly a disgusting person and I can't wait to watch her nervous breakdown when she is defeated.

It always amuses me when a staunch anti-gun politician accepts protection from people who carry concealed guns. The police are protection enough...unless you're talking about their lives. I would at least have a little respect for their view if they refused secret service protection due to their beliefs.

  14. I agree entirely. Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question. College centers seem to be especially hard to project to the NFL. Perhaps because it is a very cerebral position, moreso than other line spots.

According to Ross Tucker, center is the easiest position on the line.
