You’re right here. The debate has been framed as vaccinated vs unvaccinated and not immune vs non-immune. We aren’t set up for it yet. To be fair though, the data is still coming in on this. I haven’t seen anything that says you shouldn’t get one dose and have a better response to boot. That will all be sorted out in time.

To those of you on Twitter, a really good follow is John Burn Murdoch of the Financial Times. He does a great job analyzing the latest results coming out of both the UK and Israel. Some general conclusions:

The Pfizer vaccine appears more effective for longer than the AZ. England's choice of spreading the two shots by 8 weeks instead of 3 appears to be beneficial. Booster shots would primarily help those with co-morbidities the most but will be rolled out to everyone eventually.

  2. Nice work overall.

I agree with you that Freiermuth is going to be where Ben focuses in the red zone - he made a couple of amazing grabs in tight spaces in the endzone during the preseason and I know they'll be targeting him. We better shade our coverage toward him as they get close.

"Edmunds is known for some big hits and some timely takeaways, but he is one of a few weak links in that secondary especially if you can isolate him in coverage. "

Not sure I agree with this statement - they are an absolute cluster in that secondary after Fitzpatrick.  Hayden used to be outstanding but is closer to just serviceable at the moment. The rest of their secondary is mostly stop gap level.  While their front seven, when healthy, is among the best in the league, their back end will not hold up to 4 and 5 wide attacks, which happens to be our strong suit.

  3. Pitt Tribune writer thinks Bills will lose to Steelers because they are "disheveled" due to Covid. A couple other tidbits about problems along their offensive line and their linebackers.

The Steelers will beat host Buffalo in the opener. The constant covid debate surrounding the Bills has them disheveled. The Steelers are all football. Steelers win. You heard it here.

I like when our opponent's media feels confident. I get more relaxed.

Yes  the name was not spelled correctly.. But did you not know to whom I was referring to? Agree or disagree with my opinion and keep it moving. You guys obliviously have nothing better to do. This a football forum not an English/ spelling/ class.

    Obliviously not.

2 points why we need a better running game:  1. QB’s who become the leading rusher of a team do not last long.  2.  Keep defenses honest.  If they sell out to stop the pass or blitz, a well designed and executed run can get 20-30 yards.

I think both the blocking and lane reading by RB’s were an issue last year.

Except Cover 1 did an analysis at the end of the season on both backs and I think used PFF days to show that Moss was the best blocking back in the NFL by the end of the season. Even Singletary was better than average.

There's a lot of hot takes on here about Williams being better but I think you're gonna see Moss and Singletary be a lot better this year.

  6. One more tidbit from his school workout ...

Former Boise State cornerback Avery Williams could be destined for a position change in the NFL. Williams was one of three Broncos who took full part in the school's pro day Wednesday in Boise State's indoor facility, and he showed what he can do in drills specific to defensive backs, running backs and slot receivers. The two-time Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year, who made highlight reels with his kickoff and punt returns, said several NFL teams have mentioned to him the possibility of becoming a third-down running back. He started every game the past two seasons at defensive back, but he's fine with showing what else he can do. "I want to be the most versatile player in this draft," Williams told reporters on Wednesday. "I can do it all and I'm willing to do it all." - Idaho Statesman

  7. Listening to the Cover 1 podcast with Joe Marino this evening, he mentioned the corner from Boise State, 2x special teams player of the year in conference, Mountain West Honorable Mention at cornerback,  consensus position All American as a special teamer.

    5'9", 195.

    Runs a 4.41 forty.

May be tried as a slot receiver in the NFL

Top 20 in the nation in both punt and kick returns

6 punt returns for TDs, 3 kick returns for TDs in career

Also blocked 4 kicks/punts in career

    5 FF, 22 passes defensed

Given that it'll be hard to break into the Bills' starting lineup for someone not drafted in the first couple rounds, perhaps someone who can handle special teams and be groomed as a #4 CB or potentially a slot receiver to replace Cole Beasley in a couple years?

Curious what the TBD draftniks think of him as a late round flyer.

  8. He's actually better than Roberts at returns and better than Roberts at receiver and he can do jet sweeps plus serve as the third RB. For 5 million AAV, I'd take him to fill all 3 roles. Cover 1 has beating the drum for this move since the off-season started.

There’s a reason the Bills were all over the guy Patriots took before us in the 2nd round.

Well, to be fair that "guy" has been pretty underwhelming in NE thus far. IIRC, he didn't see much of the field as the season went on. I think it's a scheme weakness.
