did you ever even watch Fina play? the guy was not very good and was playing out of position his entire career Fina was drafted to replace one of the guard positions but when they Bills got screwed on the Wil Wilford deal with Indy they were forced to move Fina to tackle where he was simply overmatched I think Fina could have been a pretty good guard but was just not a good tackle

first of all you need to get your facts straight Jason Peters was an undrafetd rookie free agent the Bills signed to play tackle Jared Gaither did not slip to the later rounds because of his work ethic, he wasnt even in the draft. He was selected in the 5th round of the Supplemental Draft and where a player is taken in that draft is entirely different then where he is taken in the NFL draft. I guess since Baltimore decided to draft Oher it meant they must have saw some deficiency in Gaithers play? How about they just thought Oher was too good to pass up where they were picking or that they knew Gaither was coming up on free agency and they didnt want to pay him the going rate for top LTs in the league? Maybe they thought they would make something on their investment of a 5th round pick in the Supplemental Draft while also getting great value in Oher where they were able to get him i dont know about anyone else but that just sounds like good football to me

Fred Jsckson averaged 4.5 ypc last season behind this line, its injuries and playing in a cracker jack offense

The Bills didnt like any of the QBs in the draft outside of Bradford so did you want them to draft one anyway? The QBs that are on the roster played in a cracker jack offense so why not see what they have in the guys that are already here before drafting another guy that is probably just more of the same. Its not like they wont have the opportunity to draft a QB next year with a better crop of QBs coming out. I didnt have a problem with them selecting Spiller and in fact I loved it. He was the best offensive player in the draft and some think the best player overall and is the type of playmaker this team has been lacking for a long time. Fred Jackson is solid but you dont pass up a guy like Spiller just because you have another player on your roster at the same position. Minnesota drafted Peterson when they already had Chester Taylor on the roster, how did that work out? I still think Lynch gets traded especially if the Bills trade for a LT but even if he he doesnt get traded, there isnt anything wrong with having 3 capable backs all of which can line up wide The Bills had a solid draft and added a playmaker as well as size and speed to a front seven that desperately needed it

there isnt anything wrong with being prepared just in case

do you even watch football? im guessing no Vernon Davis had a monster year last year for a team with questionable QBs how has Bruce Campbell been far from filling his potential when he hasnt even played in an NFL game yet? Darius Heyward-Bay plays for the Raiders and had Jamarcus Russel at QB to start his career Jared Gaither is regarded as one of the better LTs in the league and has played on a line that is also regarded as one of the better lines in the league get a clue

i love when people are so worried about players learning the system its freakin May and the majority of the team hasnt even started to learn "the system" yet its their job to learn the system, people make it out like they have to learn Chinese in 2 weeks

how exactly did Bills fans run Peters out of town? the guy didnt want to be in Buffalo and wanted yet another new deal that he simply wasnt worth Peters proved how overrated he is with his play in Philly this year you need to get a clue

you should really be looking at last years stats instead of career stats not to mention Lynch is one more dumb decision away from missing an entire year and came back last year after his suspension looking completely out of shape Jackson was the Bills best player last year and outperformed Lynch behind the same awful o-line and showed a lot more desire when he was in there

I really dont get the point of this thread...is this in defense of Maybin who was drafted to play a position he clearly didnt fit? Bruce Smith had Forty-six collegiate sacks which is pretty amazing Maybin started one year at Penn State and only got that because the player ahead of him on the depth chart got hurt Bruce had more sacks in that one game mentioned in the article then Maybin had his entire rookie year I hated the Maybin pick, it should have been Oher but I do think the Bills switching to a 3-4 will benefit Maybin more then any other player on the team...I actually think he can turn out to be a very good OLB

they plan on moving Oher there full time but they also stated both players will rotate between left and right tackle during camp it doesnt hurt his value one way or the other

its amazing how many people on this board said Oher was not a LT even after he filled in for Gathier last year and played pretty well there Oher should be a Bill but I'll take Gaither at this point

although San Diego St is a bigger school then Wayne State Marshall Faulk did basically the same thing, was there something that didnt add up about that either? the guy wanted to play RB and had to go to a small school in order to do that not all schools view you at the position you want to play...Joe Pa wanted Jim Kelly to play LB at Penn State remember?

Henderson is a DT and not a NT, same as Stroud Where do you want Faneca to play? Bills need a tackle not a guard

Williams isnt going anywhere and will probably start at NT and split time with Troup I think Stroud is done as a Bill

i think Carrington starts at one of the DE spots from day one and Edwards starts at the other

too slow? the one thing Maybin has is speed the only reason the Bills drafted him as an undersized DE is because of his speed and ability to get to the QB
