A teacher my wife works with caught the H1N1 virus from one of her students. This was due in part to the Superintendent instrcuting the principals not to disclose any confirmed cases of swine flu to anyone including the teachers to avoid any over reaction. This teacher was preganant and is now in intensive care in the hospital. As of this morning, it looks like she is going to lose her baby. Ask her husband if it is overhyped.

It wouldn't me my kid I was worried about. I guess with my wife being a grade school teacher, I am exposed to the utter stupidity of parents and children on a regular basis. The kid who is dumb enough to bring a pocket knife to school to eat his lunch is very likely the last kid you would ever consider giving a knife to. If this numbnut cuts another kid, either by accident or on purpose, the lawsuit against the school system would be astronomical. Or some other numbnut steals the kids knife and something bad happens, this thread would be screaming for schools to provide our kids with better protection and questioning why a 6 year old has a knife.

Congrats. Fact of the matter is a 6 year old does not have the manual dexterity to handle a knife properly, especially on his own. If you are dumb enough to give a 6 year old a pocket knife, the likelihood of **** happening increases exponentially.
