If he doesn't sign the tag, he sits and makes $0. Next year he sits again until he signs the tag. I not sure why folks are freaking out about this. NO franchise player gets tagged and signs a longer term a month or 2 later. They are typically hold outs. This really isn't surprising at all.

It is all about preceived draft day value. More than likely the Bills could have landed the players they did and had two additional day 1 picks. I haven't really seen anybody saying the guys they drafted couldn't play ball, they just weren't good value picks.

I also remember when he blasted the Colts for Taking Terv Alberts 5th overall. Nobody is right 100% of the time, but "the experts" do have a tendancy to be right more than the rest of us.

They are the typical second day O-lineman mercy !@#$ picks that the Bills are known for.

I did learn something this draft that I did not know before. Apparently our secondary was the problem. Thank god they're addressing it.

...and the same Bills scouts who evaluated the talent for those drafts are the same Bills scouts who evaluated the talent for this draft. I can understand why you are concerned.

The Bills "experts" are still the same scouts and talent evaluators from when TD was here. The only thing different in the man in charge. Maybe that is all it took but you'll have to pardon me if the glass is half empty instead of half full.

I think the first two picks were reaches from the slot they drafted in, especially McCargo. I also think Youboty was a steal, but without the extra pick we had going in, the o-line took it hard and dry for another season.

I have agreed with some of your criticism but this is definitely over the top.

Folks keep freaking out about Nate but I think the deal will get done. When a team franchises a guy it always takes at least until camp, if not longer, to get him signed. I can't think of any player off the top of my head who was franchised and then happily signed a longer term deal a month later. Youboty does make sense if the Bills are going to play the cover 2. you can never have enough good corners. On the flip side, our o-line will get the same mercy !@#$ 4th or 5th rounder that it does every year and continue to struggle.

It takes time to develop an o-lineman, just like a QB. We haven't been drafting them over the past couple of years which is why we are in the situation were in now. The longer you pass up on them, the longer the cycle continues. I do like the Youboty pick though.
