Yeah, my son actually quit playing. I didn't think that would happen. I know he had at least one concussion, possibly two, by the time he was 13. I told him it was completely up to him if he wanted to keep playing and he has chosen not to. He was good, a really good LB especially. But I'd rather him not suffer like some of the people you see now days, so I was actually kind of relieved when he hung up the cleats. That was two years ago. I will support him if he changes his mind at any point and wants to go back though.

We really need to come out and make short work of NY this weekend. Have the game over with by the 3rd quarter and the backups playing by the 4th. Rest anyone and everyone of worth we possibly can. Hopefully it's just like the Pittsburgh game.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman done for the year - foot surgery
H2o replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I got Duvernay on my FF team so this works out. He may be a decent Flex option now. Sucks for Bateman. -
All QB's plead for calls. Many of Allen's are legitimate. Either way, I hope JA17 Van Noy's ole boy this weekend.

So, 2023 will be a bit interesting for Miami. They haven't even added the Chubb deal yet on Spotrac and this is what their cap looks like, $11.78M. I see a few places to free up a quick $8M or so, but they will be right up against it next year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/cap/2023/

@ Chicago - W vs Cleveland - W vs Texans - W @ SF - L @ Chargers - Depends on what LA's injury report looks like by them, but probably a W for Miami @ Buffalo - L I don't see them losing to teams like Chicago, who traded their two best defensive players the last couple of weeks and have a lackluster offense. I don't see them losing to a Brissett led Cleveland team. I don't see them losing to the injury riddled Chargers either at the moment, but we can check back in on game week to see what the injury report is looking like. More than likely they will be 4-2 in the next 6. That would have them at 9-5 and clearly in the Playoff hunt.

Rousseau is in the 2nd year of his rookie deal. We don't have to worry about him for another 3 seasons. That's a stretch of a hypothetical at the moment. Also, Von will more than likely be gone by then, the market will be completely different, and so will the salary cap. We have a lot of people coming up on contracts before Groot. But if his play warrants it, and we want to keep him, you pay the man. These are Chubb's career stats. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChubBr00.htm His best year was his rookie season, he has missed a lot of time due to injury early in his career, and it doesn't really seem like the $$$ matches the production. Glad the Dolphins made that move and hitched their wagons to him though. Time will tell how it plays out, but this move doesn't make me nervous in the slightest.

Everyone knows I'm the resident Notre Dame homer on this board. I had really high hopes for Claypool and everyone knows I was banging the table for him in that draft. He was a completely different young man at Notre Dame. He was humble, one of the hardest workers on the team, and always led by example. I watched him improve every year while at Notre Dame. Year one to year two it was his hands. Year two to year three it was his route running. Year four he seemed to put it all together. Go and look at the college tape. He wasn't just a Go Route WR. He had excellent hands, body control, and 4.4 speed in a 6'5" 240lb frame. He came in and had a solid rookie season as well. Somewhere between that rookie year and his 2nd season his attitude changed. It was like he thought he had arrived, but he has a ton of work left to do. Now he is pompous, there was a video of him kicking a guy in the face while one the ground after a bar fight, and seems to just go through the motions. I hope he turns it around and gets back on track, but idk.

I CANNOT believe it.
-
I think Snyder may know there is actually enough support of the other owners to force him out. Now he'll save face, pocket another $4B-$5B, and go do something else.
-
Now, this also raises a question about the roster. With the trade for DM yesterday, and Poyer being announced as day-to-day today, is Johnson possibly about to be cut? He has been the weakest link of the S group.
-
Great news. Sit him against the Jets and let him be in a better place for the Vikes game. Need him for that one.

Deshaun Watson - Serial predator who has no business in the NFL. Joe Mixon - Punching women in the face, especially when you're a 220lb football player, is about as cowardly as you can get. Kareem Hunt - See the above. Christian Wilkins - He's been caught on video grabbing and fondling dudes multiple times now. Keep your homosexual tendencies off of the field. Kyler Murray - Arrogant, throws everyone he can under the bus, and is about as overhyped as they come. Mac Jones - He has the douche attitude of Tom Brady without any of the success to come close to warranting it.
-
He's done with Buffalo. We have McNugget, Shakir, and are still in the running for OBJ (along with like 5 other teams it seems). Either way, with the injury and how the roster is right now I can't imagine him ever coming off of IR this season.
-
Giving him a week off against the Jets wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen, but you hate to see him miss any time at all. He's definitely playing at an All Pro level right now. We will definitely need him as healthy as possible for the Vikings game, especially after they just acquired Hockenson to go with the weapons they already had.

Buffalo 34 Jets 13 The Jets defense is better than their offense for sure. The loss of Breece Hall hurt them in that regard something terrible. The real problem that remains for the Jets is the play of Zack Wilson. Yes he put up some garbage time yards against a weak Pats defense, but he's still turning the ball over at a high rate and making dumb decisions like last year. He's also only completing passes at a 54.9% clip. That's not going to get it done. If he has 2 or 3 more games like that resulting in losses, don't be surprised if Saleh puts old man Flacco back out there. In this game the Jets will be out matched on both sides of the ball. I expect it to kind of run the same way the Rams game did. Maybe close early, but the Bills pull away in the 2nd half. Josh will have another 300+ yds passing, another 50+ yds rushing, and 3 total TD's in a game that's never really in doubt. ...............................

If we have a healthy Poyer and Tre in the Secondary going into January, if the OL continues to progress as a unit, and if we can avoid any major injuries the rest of the way to other key players, then there is no reason we can't finally hoist that Lombardi this year. The #1 seed is actually a big deal despite how some act like it doesn't matter. Having that bye week and the promise of every game being at home is a HUGE advantage, especially in our case. This team feels different though. You can sense in every way they are on a mission. From the FO, to the coaching staff, to every player on the field, they all just seem to have that Mamba Mentality right now. It's beautiful to watch. We are not unbeatable by any means. Any given Sunday, you know? But I love how they've had a couple of hard fought, close victories pulled out in the last minute against other division leaders. I also like that they've tasted a bitter loss already this season as well. These things build character. I truly believe this team has what it takes to be the last team standing in February, but there is A LOT of football left between now and then.

There are some people who just rub you the wrong way. They don't even have to say anything and you want to punch them. Then they open their mouth and it makes that feeling 10 times worse. That's Jaire Alexander. He sounds like Kat Williams. Can you imagine that big headed, Kat Williams sounding idiot chirping at you on the way to the field. I'd wanna slap him and his momma too. Then he was trying to act like what he did was important with his team down multiple scores and everyone else basically understanding his team had no shot. He's an idiot.

Getting the band back together. Is EJ Gaines available? What about Kevin Johnson?

Zero in dead cap the next two years if we move on. If he works out, I would imagine they add another year to the deal and a little bit of gtd $$$ to lower the cap figure.
