  1. In summary:
  2. Amazing! The QB competition this year is going to be wild. Normally there’s a ton of love and brotherhood even among guys competing with each other. But in this case Tate Martell has been trash talking for weeks. Not sure how that will play out.
  3. I like Grinch as a potential long-term DC for the Bucks, but he has not distinguished himself during his time at OSU as a coach or a recruiter.
  4. That’s a huge one!
  5. Do it for the culture, Gene!
  6. He seems fine with it.
  7. Now Herman’s going for it on 4th down and slamming his QB into the line repeatedly. #legacy
  8. Herman giving Georgia the Urban-underdog treatment?
  9. When we needed him the most in 2011, he gave us his best. I’m forever grateful.
  10. I liked Fowler’s comment after the last TD: “The Huskies kick open the back door!”
  11. ? Well, Happy New Year and Go Bucks!! Deep breaths until kickoff.
  12. I’m relying on three things to ease my nerves: 1. Dwayne Haskins 2. Urban’s last game 3. Washington won’t be able to keep up That said, I know nothing about the Huskies other than Peterson gets a ton of respect nationally and apparently they have a sweet secondary.
  13. Gotta love it.
  14. No surprise to OSU fans but I guess now it’s official. He should go ? “Haskins received a first round projection from the NFL’s college personnel advisory board, which is a group of personnel people that advise college players about where they’d likely get drafted if they decide to turn pro before their college eligibility is over.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/23/draft-advisory-board-tells-dwayne-haskins-hes-a-first-round-quarterback/
  15. Applies equally to Fields and also Patterson coming back to Michigan next year for another shot at the Buckeyes. Tate’s an interesting guy. Is it true that he didn’t lose a single game in high school?
  16. If Mathis for Fields is the tradeoff I would do that deal in a heartbeat.
  17. I agree that Haskins should probably take a lesson from Cardale and enter the draft while his stock is high. Meanwhile, does OSU’s interest in Fields indicate that the coaches don’t like the way Tate is coming along? And if so, and if Fields goes elsewhere, could Baldwin be in the mix for 2019?
  18. I think it’s 80/20 he goes, and the 20 is higher than I expected. I do think he’s upset about missing the playoff, and that he loves Day and wants to help.
  19. Mostly curiosity for me. The spectacle of LSU or Georgia or Bama lining up in a snowstorm against OSU, PSU, Michigan, etc. would be compelling in my opinion. It's a part of the game that southern teams don't ordinarily deal with. I agree that a regular season game (at least) would have to come off the schedule in order to make this work.
  20. Lots of talk in the Twittersphere today about the athletic directors discussing an eight-team playoff for 2020. Teams ranked 1-4 would get a home game against 5-8. I would be absolutely giddy to finally welcome a southern team up north for a playoff game in December. According to ESPN, the SEC is against the idea.
  21. This would discredit the theory that Urban and the school had a falling out over the Zach Smith investigation that led the parties to separate.
  22. Can you imagine if the national media knew that Urban was on a leash based on how intense he appeared on the sideline? They already had a full-time Urban Cam on him to dissect his every facial expression.
  23. He does seem to be developing an online... brand for himself. Based on this past season, it appears he'll need 7,500 yards and 75 total TDs to earn serious Heisman consideration. Better get to work Tate!
